First of all this is bye far one of the worst companies to do business with please i repeat please do not go thru with any of there crap I'm closing all my capital cards and loan they definitely cant have my business any longer. They give you the run around like no one can help you and I'm just tired of hearing I'm sorry when they just don't even care so yea $#*! you capital one
It take so long for you get to them and they always ask u to wait for the longest y'all need to change it to Bank of America! The most wonderful Bank of America
I had a basic capital one card, and always paid on time; one payment was late because of some banking issues, I paid the balance immediately as I found out it was late; I started getting calls from this hysterical woman telling me or threatening me that I better pay the amount right away or They will ruin my credit rating and so one. I tried to explain to her that I had paid that amount already a month previous. She refused to listen and continued with her hysterical behaviour, I put a complaint in, and the complaint went nowhere. Their complaints department is a joke; I also have people from other countries answering my complaints that do not even live in Canada. In fact they closed my account with a balance still on it of 60 dollars that they needed to give back to me as I actually made an overpayment. They didn't mention that I had to find out through asking. If I didn't make the inquiry they would have kept the 60 dollars as well,
Absolutely horrible customer service
I have a excellent credit score and don't need credit through capital one, however I saw the venture sign up bonus of 75,000 travel miles if $4000 is spent in the first 3 months. I went ahead and got the card, spent the $4000 in that time frame, and called to inquire where my miles were. They said I'm ineligible because I "upgraded" an existing account and the promotion doesn't apply to existing accounts. They did close an unused old account but that was not what I applied for nor was stated in the process. I was charged the $100 annual fee. I do not want this card now, nor want to do business with a company that fraudulently screws you out of a promotion even after calmly explaining and proving this application was for a new account and the only reason for opening it was for the awards. I will not be using capital one in the future
Alleana /AZD22A is such a bad person in costume service I always have bad experiences with capital one
Secondly Jasmin/ cho654 she is trying to cover her coworker and doesn't care about customer is revoking services or not please don't trying to get capital one ever
Paid my capital one credit card through my banks bill pay. Sent on the 5th, Capital one said they did not get until 12/28, and charged me a late fee. I called them with proof of payment from my bank, they didn't care. This card was through Pottery Barn. Tore up card and will no longer shop Pottery Barn. Their lose
Do not get capital one there are so many loopholes that they do not tell you about! I would not recommend!
Took out a credit card. They offered an interest free period, charged interest a month early and then charged interest on the small additional interest they overcharged. THEN before I found out what crook and liars they were I had taken out their 360 Savings account. Supposed to be bonus interest. I made the large transfer to that account and for four months they came up with every excuse why the bonus was not due yet. THEN when they ran out of excuses for that, they told me that in 2005, remember this is 2022, that I had had a savings account so they could not pay the bonus since I had had a NON bonus savings account in 2005. Guess they were crooks back then is why I closed that account, cant remember 17 years ago. BUT this I will never forget... DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH CAPITAL ONE THEY ARE LIARS AND CROOKS.
Hello fellow consumers,
I have had trouble dealing with a return on my card even though the merchant has credited my account and customer service was not able to help me. I was referred to the senior complaint specialist which is a ridiculous name for the service I was given. Kayla(specialist) did not care about my problem and resorted to tell me I had nothing I can do to aid or facility the problem. If you are looking for a credit card company make sure they have a well developed customer service program that actually priorities the consumer not like Capitol One.
Thank you,
This card has been a POS since I got it. 1year 6months & not ONE credit line increase. The reason is because I don't use the card enough HOW CAN I SPEND CRAZY WITH $300. Come on now, give me a limit I can spend from & maybe I'd use the stupid card. Can't wait to get rid of them …..
So, I tried paying my bill online then tried calling to pay it. It's all automated and literally canceled my account. Now I'm trying to figure out how to pay my bill, but can't reach a rep.
Don't make any payments to your credit card over $40 or they'll hold that payment "so your bank can process it" for 5-10 days. All of my accounts used to be with them so all payments to my cap 1 credit card were coming from a cap 1 checking account. Also had my auto loan through them which had a ridiculous interest rate. Refinanced and got the heck out of that money trap. Had a cap 1 credit card for 7 years with a credit score that rose above 650 but never had a credit limit increase despite inquiring about it (and had excellent history of on-time payments). Had fraud on my debit card inked to checking and requested a new debit card. Took them 10 days to mail it to me so the only card I had was my credit card. Had to continually make small payments to it so that I could use the credit card to pay my bills. Any payments over $40 were immediately out on hold. When I finally received my new debit card and it didn't work. Even the customer service rep could not get it activated so they had to send me a new one. I couldn't access my own money on my checking account for lack of debit card nor could I access my funds via my credit card bc they put holds on any payments made to it. I had ZERO access to my money over the holidays and almost had my car insurance policy cancelled bc of these f*cks. Do not do business with them. They are absolutely criminal.
I have two unsecured credit cards with capital one that I have had for several years. My credit score is now at a 745 yet capital one still refuses to up my credit limit to help increase that score even more $800 is all they will bring it to. Other credit cards like Discover and Apple have given me cards with $5000 limit so I will be canceling both capital one cards since they refuse to up the credit limit at all even though they tell me that I have excellent history, I have never been late they can give me no good reason as to why they won't raise the limit. If you're looking to raise your credit score, I wouldn't use capital one just my opinion.
They ask for you social security number, address, date of birth, when they can easily get your info off the approval code they send you that comes in the acceptance letter them send you. I strongly believe this Indians/Arabs are writing down your social security number, address, date of birth, to clone a card make fraudulent charges on it then not accept responsibility. Then they sell your personal information on the web. When you got people from that part of the world with that poverty they will steal your information to better them selfs financially. By selling all your info and card number they can see your account where they work from home. No one to monitor them or over see them. I got hung up on after I told the gentleman that barley spoke English that I don't like giving my information over the phone and that he can find out everything with the approval code. Just like how that can activate an account for you with that code they should have all your information or maybe it's blocked to them expect your social, d.o.b, address, that's why they ask to try to write it down them selfs and sell it be aware. Can't trust anyone with your personal information. Look at all the bad reviews they got that should stand for something. And all the fraudulent charges made on this cards. Who ells has the information or asked for your information? They doooo
Customer service lied about the legality of how to apply funds on a credit account and was unwilling to help after committing immoral application of account funds then claiming they were legally required too (when they weren't).
Customer service representatives speak poor English and hard to understand and, I don't recommend it
I had not received my bill in the mail and honestly didn't even think about it until I received a late notice. I contacted their customer service on numerous occasions and in several of those instances, spoke with an individual whose english lets say... sucked! I could not understand a word he was saying. Why in the world would you put someone like that in your customer service position. I had sent a check in on November 22 and of this date December 15th, they had not received it. Ok, lets chalk it up to the US postal Service losing it. Well, speaking with one individual there, she stated she "see's the check and by tomorrow night at midnight you will be able to use your card." Ummm no, that didn't happen! In fact, speaking with several other people, they said they didn't a check whatsoever and I am still currently past due. Almost all the service members I spoke to had accents, and that's fine, however I did waste my time on a couple of occasions just adding to my frustration. One individual was very nice and waved my "one time" late fee which was very appreciated only to be charged again when I was making my payment. I know, one time but this was as much my fault as it was theirs... Neither of ours! But I still had to pay it. Very displeased with the way this was handled.
While converting to a basically online presence one would think they would have a functional app/website. THEY DO NOT. It has been weeks and I still can't make a simple deposit as either it says "duplicate check" or the app won't accept the pics of the checks! DO NOT THINK OF OPENING an account here. I am writing the FDIC as they do not respond.
Years ago, I can remember getting replacement cards from Capital One before I turned around...in 2 or 3 days. I only have two Capital One credit cards, a personal and a business card. Over 10 days ago, my personal card was corrupted, so I used my business card to tide me over until it became corrupted, too, 5 days ago. Today I called CO and they had not sent out replacements for either one! I asked them to send me the personal credit card in overnight mail. They refused. They would send it "express" in 2-5 business days. It is Wednesday; by the time it finally gets mailed to me and I receive it, it will be next Monday at the earliest. In addition, I have concerns about protection of confidential information. As customary, before talking with a manager, I first talked with someone with a heavy accent, most likely a non-U.S. Citizen. How safe is our data!
Don't trust them, Condor Airlines didn't charge me anything. Cathy is the fund manager and is very unprofessional and rude. She was trying to screw me and they wouldn't give me my money back. I want my money back.
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
Answer: From my experience, they appear to be nothing but a shady scam bank.
Answer: They offered nice rewards back It sounded more impressive than it is. Big mistake.
Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
