I am old and hard of hearing. I made a compaint and used their credit card dispute site. I got persons who spoke in limited English and nearly 0 in understanding it. Also, they spoke in a very court manner. So if you value the money in your wallet, do not use their credit card sevice..
Capital one sends over due payment notice on my statement. I paid the last 2 payments early. They said they weren't paid. The 3 previous months they never even sent a statement. So this month I paid a late fee plus a double payment.
Yes it's easy to receive a capital one credit card but I think I used my card twice and paid in full but some how I still receive a fee higher than the $25 minimum and all these extra charges, my opinion they try to keep you in debt,,
Been with Capital 1 for many years and used Capital 1 credit card for all purchases. Been loyal with Capital 1, yet, a $59 annual fee couldn't be waived. I recognize that Capital 1 is a business and will make money - that is why, I exclusively use their credit card for all purchases. However, after all my business, if Capital 1 couldn't waive their annual fees, I need to look elsewhere to give my business to. As a frequent traveler, I can many offers, yet I stuck with Capital 1. Now, I will start looking at other options. Not sure if $59 is worth losing a loyal customer.
My daughter is an a minor and also an authorized user on my account. I added her to help build her credit. Her name is misspelled on the account. Even though I am the primary user, her father, and she is only 15 years old, they are telling me that she has to call herself to have it fixed. It was a fun 30 minute conversation talking to a foreigner that couldn't even pronounce my name.
Bad customer service, pls don't do Buisness, there are other credit ccard co. Who would waive off the interest for at least one time due to circumstances, I was out of country and the network are bad so I could not do payment of full, I m never late on payments, just asked for the 1st time in 8years to waive of $50 in interest but they said no. At least as a courtesy.
I had a situation in the family. I paid off everything I am Going to close my account with them. The worst credit card company in the USA ever.
Capital one was my first credit card ever 12 years ago. I used my card daily for those 12 years and had Zero late payments for those 12 years. Today I try to use my card and learn that my account has been closed. Why was it closed? They won't tell me. All they say is I violated a condition of my terms. I did have a return payment where I attempted to use my LGFCU bank account to make a payment, but then made a payment with my normal account and everything was fine. No idea to this day why that payment returned.
Major security breach announced in August 2019. Actually occurred early 2019. Offered to provide free worthless bottom of the line Transunion Credit Monitering System for 2 years at no charge. JOKE you call to use codes off letter sent by Capital One you get an incompetent CS person in a third world country, in this case Gutamalia, who can't setup them transfers you and disconnects. An hour and half later finally gave up. Which is exactly the intended outcome by Capital One. Shame on Capital One steer clear of Capital One!
I purchased a new pair of shoes at Bass Pro Shops using new Store Card (Capitol One) and got $20 off of my $60 purchase in October, 2023.Did NOT! Receive ANY! Billing Statement from Capitol One for over 2 Months! And when I did (yesterday) they hit me with a $112.00 Bill for Interest and Late Fees!...I'll pay the SOB's today, but Capitol One can kiss my A$$.even a Mafia Loan Shark wouldn't charge that much!...Their card just went thru the Shredder too, about 5 Minutes ago!...
Spent well over 10 hrs on phone, email and personal visits trying to open Savings 360 deposit and CD accounts. Followed instructions from multiple associates and managers to the letter (repeated for confirmation). Most recent visit this morning for another in-person confirmed manager visit to complete the process. NO SHOW AND NO CALL for accounts to put money into their bank! Not criticizing any of the individuals, since apparently following a protocol from the top of the bank,, but something very, very, wrong here. NO THANKS.

Recently my wife and I's income went from $140,000 a year to only $60,000 a year due to my medical issues. I have been unable to fill my car with gas or pay for groceries.
Henceforth, I've been unable to make the payments on my card like I had expected to.
They send me letters, emails, and voicemails saying they want to work with me, but every time I call them they leave my interest-rate at 23% and are unwilling to work with me.
Never use them! Horrible company!
I was fortunate to start my credit over with a Cap One CC after coming out of a Chapter 7 that was Covid Related. I started off with a small unsecured amount and never missed a payment. I was able to obtain three additional cards along the way with higher limits. I last check my credit score and it was over 650. So i applied for a credit increase with Cap One. 5minutes later I was denied. A reason was too many missed minimum payment. I pulled my Credit immediately and discovered that I didnt have "ANY" missed payments on it. Called Cap One and no one can provide me with any explanation. The irony in this whole ordeal is that Cap One pre approved my for a car loan of up to 40K but wont increase my credit $500.00.The only thing good about Cap One are the commercials...
I purchased an electric bike using my Capitol One MasterCard.
The bike was not working properly, so I paid an independent bike repair service to check it out. They found all kinds of problems, so I returned the lemon bike to the manufacturer.
Meanwhile, I disputed the charge with Capitol One. I continually supplied Capitol One with all the information that I had and with the Emails that I exchanged with Heybike. Despite everything that I provided, they eventually charged it back to me. So Heybike has the bike and I am billed for it. It would've been so easy, based on the paperwork that I provided to the bank, to do a charge back in my favor.
Every time I supplied Capitol One with the requested paperwork, the agent said that this should be enough and they would decide in my favor in a few days. Another lie was the claim that I didn't get my paperwork to them in time, which I did.
I have been with the bank for 12 years with a perfect record. They did not stand up for me.
Been a customer for like 9 years. You guys bother me to upgrade my card all the time. I do it because the rewards said I can get 20k miles for spending 500$. I did that and now am getting told that is for new members. Why ask my to upgrade my card If I don't get rewards like everyone like you told me I'd get on The upgrade menu. Could've used my regular card and got more money back. You shammed me and didn't even care to look out. I'll be canceling that card and getting a apple card or something better. Thanks for ruining my view on capital one. I've got 3 people to get cards. I won't recommend you guys ever again and recommend they keep what they have and go else where.
CapOne is the worst. From arrogant tellers to $#*!ty systems (CC and Checking Account) that do not work together, meaning you make a CC payment from your Checking account and it doesn't show up for days. NOW list, I pay my CC in full each and every month so it has nothing to do with needing money, it's simply the $#*!ty systems. Goodbye CapOne, you're terrible.
We have been the capital one client for over 30 years and never had a dispute with any of our vendors. One vendor gave me a guarantee, and if they did not perform, I would get my money back they did not perform. I asked for my money back and they wouldn't send it, I turned it over to capital one and they did not in anyway trying to help us recover or lost $2500. They did everything they could not to be of service to us. After 30 years with capital one, we have canceled our card and will never do business again with them.
Today I had the greatest experience I ever with a representative of any type. This customer service representative went above and beyond her job to actually help me out today. Corianne provided some great information for me today. Not only do I have a great representative which I have a absolute great asset to Capital one in Corianne. The experience that I had with Corianne was like no other I have ever experience with any representative that ever spoke to over the phone. Her willingness to help and provide vital information and even chat with me show that she care for the Capital One customers. So today I'm given Corianne 5 stars If I can give her more I would. I had a huge dispute with AirBnb for a reservation that I did not use due to severe issues of the place, so first time I had AirBnb refusing to refund me for a reservation that I did not use at all. After 2 months, I contacted the bank Capital One, so they could refund me the money Airbnb refused to refund. It has been 3 months now and the bank refused to honor the claim and just do the right thing. Stay away from this bank, they are a joke
I tried to log in from another state to pay my bill and they'd only verify me via a home number I have on file so my payments was late and they wouldn't wave the fee. Now I owe late charge due to their system that doesn't have secret questions and email options for recovery. Let me add that if you don't pay by 8pm on the day your payment is due it's considered late as opposed to every other cc company that goes up till midnight (,Days sint end at 8pm). Ripoff shyster company designs it's policies to bleed the consumer
I made a payment prior to my due date as an additonal payment before my due date. My account was setup on auto pay. The date my minimum balance was do, I called to confirm that the payment was set to clear. The representative told me "yes, we have your payment that's set, no worries, you won't be charged a late fee. & payment will process.
My payment didn't process & I was charged a late fee which has now affected my credit score! I spoke to several supervisors & was told that there was no options to clear this late fee. Be ware! It seems like it was a way to get more money out of customers. I will not refer my family & friends to capital one & will close out this account!
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
