When I looked at my credit one day and noticed that I have not applied for any cards for few years and had 0 inquiries on my report, I decided to give a chance to Cap1 Venture since I did not had any personal Cap1 cards in my wallet. My FICO score floating around 830 all the time, income $250k/year, my lowest credit card limit is 15k, highest 80k. And when I received approval letter from Cap1 I was simply shocked! It was an insult and biggest slap in the face that I had within last 15-20 years! "Congratulations with your new car and your new credit limit of $500!". Yes, you heard it right! $500. I immediately called in, and closed the account, they still sent me new card. I called in to ask why are you sending me a card on a closed account? Customer service rep did not had an answer. She said it was probably automatic system. Well, seems like they have plenty of money to waste by sending customers cards who has closed account previously. So guess what? It will definitely not happening again in this lifetime. Never again, thank you Capital one for being the most generous credit card company ever!
Capital One is my only credit card in my wallet, that is actually valid...lol. It was easy to paly for and yes, even I got approved...you can too! Give it a try. Heres the link. https://capital.one/3B9xSTH you all know I don't play that B.S. It's 100% legit. So why am I posting this. Simple, if your approved and aren't a current capital one costumer, I'll get $100 up to a max of $500 per year. And you will get the same offer too once your a costumer. So come on...pay it forward! Here's the link again... https://capital.one/3B9xSTH. And thank you
I posted a pic of what I think about capital one credit cards! They should be catching the the lies. That's crazy they would let my mom take my son and not do any checking to see if it was really me! DONT USE THEM UNLESS YOUR PLANING ON taking somebody else's identity.ยน
Had a $100 balance after late fee $25. They locked my card. I call customer service and paid the balance and explained i was out of town and needed gas, tolls, and lodging. They would not unlock my card until tomorrow. I am a loyal 14 year customer. I carry virtually no balance month to month and missed one payment. They left me stranded out of town and didn't give a damn about the previous 14 years. I quit
Telephone Customer service is based in the Philippines and they really don't care what level of service you get. So rather than spending millions on TV ads with Kevin Hart and those backup football players someof that money would be better spent right here in the USA on national call centers!
Do not EVER take anything that is considered a cash advance(pretty much EVERYTHING that is not a straight forward direct purchase falls into that category), I nave been paying almost $10 a month for cash advance fees, I spoke to a rep today who went back 7 years into my account history and couldn't find a single charge that was considered cash advance, but not a single billing cycle was free of the charge. She was going to send me to another rep who could go further back, but I stopped her and inquired as to how I would go about insuring that any extra payment would be applied to said mysterious cash advance to eliminate the charge and she informed me that the only way is to pay the account in full. I didn't realize that they were siphoning this money off until today. I will be paying the account off as soon as possible and cutting ties with this crooked "financial institution". My recommendation is to avoid credit purchases if at all possible
I verified myself and who i was with a customer service rep when i initially got on the phone and spoke with the first rep. He transferred me and introduced me to a rep who said his name was Quan. Quan refuse to pull my account with my account number and stated that i need to reverify myself even tho the first rep that i verified myself with introduced me by name to him. Then i told Quan i am in a crowded area and could not said my information again out loud. Quan begin to stated he could not help me without the information. I ask Quan to transfer me to a supervisor like 10 times and he refused every time. Stating since i did reverify myself he could not do anything for me. I asked an 11th and then he hung up on me. I have been a capital one credit card and auto loan customer for countless years. I have never experienced customer service like this until not. If this is the type of people capital one is hiring i will begin taking my business elsewhere.
As an individual navigating the tumultuous world of e-commerce, I recently found myself in an unenviable predicament that carries with it an urgent tale of caution for every consumer. The stage? A $539 charge from Lowe's, emblematic of a dishwasher - a modern-day household marvel that, alas, was never delivered nor ushered into the heart of my home.
This should be a simple tale of corporate trust, of understanding and swift resolution; it instead transformed into a Kafkaesque labyrinth of frustration. As the plot twisted, the responsibility of proof had been abruptly and unfairly thrust upon me, the weary consumer. Instead of Lowe's being asked to substantiate the alleged delivery and installation of the dishwasher, Capital One's disputes team demanded I furnish evidence of my order cancellation.
My heart sank. In our era of digital proofs and e-receipts, I was caught in the age-old whirlpool of telecommunication, my cancellation conducted over a phone call, ephemeral, untraceable.
The monolithic institutions I had trusted to protect and serve me, whom I have infused with my hard-earned capital (pun intended), now stood as inaccessible fortresses, their drawbridges raised against me.
Capital One left me in the cold, betrayed by the very system that should be a beacon of integrity and reliability. I speak not merely of my personal lament but for every customer who has ever been abandoned by the institutions they placed their trust in.
Now, you might wonder: Why didn't I reach out to Lowes instead? Great question. I did. Five times during the past month and a half. Every time, after 30 to 60 minutes of waiting for a human to take my call, they assured me my cancellation and refund will happen within a matter of days (apparently because their computer system wasn't allowing them to handle the cancellation immediately. It sounds like AI has taken over Lowe's, doesn't it?)
This, dear reader, is a cautionary tale about Capital One. A solemn reminder to tread lightly and carry a sturdy shield of vigilance in the ever-evolving battlefield of consumer rights. Buyer, beware indeed.
Spent well over 10 hrs on phone, email and personal visits trying to open Savings 360 deposit and CD accounts. Followed instructions from multiple associates and managers to the letter (repeated for confirmation). Most recent visit this morning for another in-person confirmed manager visit to complete the process. NO SHOW AND NO CALL for accounts to put money into their bank! Not criticizing any of the individuals, since apparently following a protocol from the top of the bank,, but something very, very, wrong here. NO THANKS.
Never use their card due to fees and never raising limit. Will never use them again with much better cards available and my credit rating at 820!
I applied for a Spark credit card for my buisness today, against my better judgement. I am a current customer of Capital One with a personal card from one of the department stores the represent ($20k+ line of credit). No missed payments to Capital One on that card, and no miseds payments on my credit report. Todays scores from all three credit repoting agencies are 779,769 and 761. Six figure income, $2400 a month mortgage and no negatives. With that said I was declined for the card that said good credit needed. I should have trusted my gut and not applied for another card from Capital One. The overall review of this company on multiple sites are all the same, HORRIBLE. Not that they care, but thank you for your decision Capital One and saving me the experince of dealing with you with regards to my company. I just applied for an American Express Buiness Plantinum card and was given a $70k line of credit. So again, a big thank you Capital One for helping me get an amazing credit card for my company.
2 payments didn't go though yet. Cant see account number.
Who the hell made this upgrade. Awful!
Those closed both of my accounts even though I paid every month. So now I'm closing my bank account with them as well as my auto loan. My other credit cards understand that the pandemic was bad but not capital one. I use to speak highly of them...well not no more. I should have listened to everyone who said that this is a garbage company.
I moved from a brick and mortar bank to Capital One
Best decision I ever made. Wonderful customer service. I even refinanced my car loan and I am saving tons
Thanks Capital One
For months (approx 6 months) my credit report show I owe Capital One $81.00. I don't but it shows I do. I don't even wait for payment dates as I'm prone to pay off my card as soon as it will let me, which is usually 3 days.
Why report a balance that is NOT PAST DUE and then not report that it's been paid? That is illegal to NOT REPORT PAYMENT.
You make a purchase with Capital One. They instantly report that balance to the credit agencies even BEFORE their site clears the purchase so you can pay it off. Yet they DO NOT report when it's paid off. Why? That's illegal.
Military members beware that capital one may "seem" to offer lower interest rates for military, but I was given a 15.9% interest rate with a credit score of over 800 for a 6 year loan. Customer service would not help me whatsoever, do not use them, you will be killing yourself trying to pay interest off and barely paying the loan itself.
Capital One has closed all of their branches in my area. The branch that is open is neutered and all the staff does is point to the ATM machine.
When you call customer service please know that it is NEVER the banks fault, it is always YOUR fault or the fault of the merchant or the other bank. If you challenge this they will claim "safe space" and hang up on you.
Banks are no fun... Capital One pretends to be cool and care but do not be fooled. The bank is awful. From customer service giving different answer every time you call in to the bank rep just blaming you over and over again like a form a torture.
The miles program and booking travel through Capital One is a joke as well... Tried getting first class tickets - when I was seated in coach (at a first class fare) I reached out to Capital One and was notified that when buying with miles they can do a blend of first class and coach. Of course coach was the 3hr leg and first class was the 30 minute flight.
With no branches and no accountability the bank just screws you over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Charged yearly fee literally the only day that would make my account go.36 over the limit. No notification of "account fee" listed anywhere. Why is the fee for the card 1/6th of the total card limit? Thats literally insane.
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
Answer: From my experience, they appear to be nothing but a shady scam bank.
Answer: They offered nice rewards back It sounded more impressive than it is. Big mistake.
Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
