Many reviews highlight issues with product quality and the perceived lack of accountability from the company, particularly regarding warranty claims and post-purchase service. For 6 months my hydraulic is leaking on my pad ruined the bottom of my brand new big horn. His service techs couldn't fix that or the awning led lights. They are still waiting for parts lol a fitting and lights that sit on their shelf across the street from me! And now they want me to tow it over when parts come in. Bigger liars then a used car salesman. Stay away from camping world gander anything these con artist are associated with. Oh don't let them deliver either I have a nice dent and my door needs a come along to open they don't know how to fix that either. Ty Marcus and Kristen did such low class service

Liars and cheats
April 13, 2023

Bought a 2022 Heartland Bighorn for husband to stay in for work. Paid for Elite Good Sam membership. $7000. Salesman told us if your refrigerator goes out no worries. We will come and fix it. You don't have to miss work. 8 days after setup fridge goes dead. Have spent two days on phone with Heartland, 4 camping worlds, husband has driven all over Utah. No one will help. Good Sam says we will tow it but we will not pay for repairs, replacement or reimburse you for hotel. WTH! We will never ever ever buy from them again. 1000 people are going to work at this job and all need trailers. I will be there advising DONT BUY FROM CAMPING WORLD

We purchased a 2018 Jayco White Hawk on 4/7/21. Within a few short months (i.e., ~3-4), we began experiencing structural/mechanical issues. One of which (e.g., rotted floor on the slide), given the extent, had to be present at the time purchase. Subsequently, the latter also wasn't identified during the 90-day mark when we transitioned the travel trailer to the Camping World Braidwood, IL location to have the seals checked. We noticed the issue shortly thereafter.

Long story short, the travel trailer has been in services of some short and Camping World's custody for nearly 1 or the 2 years we've had it. To make matters worse, the work has often been shotty at best and required re-work. We've shared our mechanical/maintenance concerns with both the management team of the location where we purchased the item from (i.e., Georgetown, KY) and Camping World's corporate office. Disturbingly, they were less than helpful at best, and patronizing/condescending at worst.

We contacted a personal property attorney who advised we had a solid case; however, our warranty agreement limited mediation to an arbitrator. Given my wife's a traveling lab scientist who requires use of the product (and myself an active-duty military service-member with two overseas combat tours), we've decided to keep the item for the time being but are actively looking to trade it soon. We'll never do business with Camping World again and humbly recommend that anyone who's considering doing so read/take heed of the reviews submitted.

We ask that the Camping World senior leadership be made aware of this review. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. The treatment we've received cannot be indicative of the image the company wants to portray. Thank you!

Poor sales team
April 10, 2023

Basically sales team responses are sarcastic and rude. I would never suggest buying an rv from here. I would give zero stars but it won't allow me too.

Purchased a new leftover 2022 camper from Cicero NY location. Traveled 2 1/2 hours from PA due to the fantastic advertised price we thought we were getting. Due to my stupidity & being a first time camper buyer, they took full advantage of that. Hidden fees from tire protection, paint protection & even a $800 charged walk through "training" fee. Ended up being thousands more than the advertised price. Also still waiting after two months & numerous calls to Cicero Camping World for our registration/tag with no returned calls.

Never again
April 9, 2023

We bought our last camper will ever buy from camping world last year. The worst experience I've ever had with the service department in kaysville. They are on organized they lie they do half $#*! maintenance and let you that you're an inconvenience to them after you spend $100,000 in the store to buy a new camper. Most repairs had to go in two or three times to be fixed and still didn't come out right. Spent almost all last summer in the shop twice I called to check on it they did not even know they had it in their shop they tell me they're too busy. When you buy a new camper from them they tell you you'll be a priority and they will get you in and out quickly. Lmao not true, when the check cashes the loyalty is gone. Buyer beware

I have worked with 4 different branches of camping world.

They all say what payment you need I tell them my ballpark.

They say no problem.

Ran my credit. NOW MIND YOU I HAVE A 740 SCORE.

After all said and done sold the trailer out from under me.
Then ran it again at another location.
But time they ran my score 5 times I went from 740 down to 650.
Built my credit back up to 740 in a month after paying off a few cards.

A gentleman from davenport Iowa Kam calls me. Says he feels terrible and wants to work with me to get what I wanted at the monthly cost I want.

We work delingently to find the camper we want.

Work out numbers told him my bank said I could get a loan at 7 percent but they only do a 5 year loan. Well that's a monthly payment I coulnt afford.

I got another call from Kam telling me we can get you in this trailer no problem.

I told him payments per month I wanted.

He said I don't see a problem.
Let's run your credit. I said if your telling me you know you can get this in my wheelhouse then do it.
If you dont then let's not run my credit

Kam said I know we can get there.

Called me an hour later 75 dollars a month more than I agreed upon.

Goes on to tell me about all these fees that needed added in. That is why so hi.

I told Kam I trusted you. I gave you a price now lower your sales price (because we all know your huge markup.) He said no its the cheapest price for this camper.

I said I am done.

He said let me work something out.

Called me back said ok we will get it at the price you want. Can you put 1000 down now and we will draw up paperwork.

I said heck yes.

Paid 1000 down. 2 hours later finace guy calls and says sorry we can only do this amount per month. It's now 100 more than my original agreement.said he was trying to go the distance with my loan but bank said only this loan term. They tried to go further than a damn house payment.

I have bought many new vehicles they will deal.

NOT CAMPING WORLD STAY AWAY THERE SCAM ARTISTS AND HIDDEN FEES WILL MAKE YOU BROKE.

If you bought a camper from them and had a good experience then you count your blessings you are the lucky ones.

Now we are gonna seek legal directions and my wife is now writing the ceo.

Good luck everyone

Hustled from the word go
March 31, 2023

I bought from a dealership because i felt like they had service people that would go through the trailer and make sure everything was good and the trailer was fit to sell. That's not the case here. They sold me the wrong adapter to start with but it only goes down hill from there. The floor has some wood rot that was hidden by not fully extending the slide. That wood rot is caused by a water leak. Water drips outside the trailer and the floor is wet inside. I know very little about travel trailers so I thought I was going to the experts I could trust. That certainly isn't the case. I've had the trailer less than a week and I spent the first two nights with no power and now I have no water. So overall this has been a horrible experience for me. I've made a huge investment in a trailer with issues that they knew, or should have known, would be a major problem.
Horrible communication
Horrible service
Horrible everything
I only feel taken advantage of and that's all I can pass on to anyone that will listen.

Terrible campers
March 31, 2023

Well if I could a negative star review I would. I paid 42,000.00 for a cardboard box on wheels. Used it three times within 25 minutes of our house. First time bedroom door feel off. Second time bathroom door fell off. Third time a closet door fell off and the air conditioner unit caught fire at the thermostat. Then it's our responsibility to take this piece of $#*! 2.5 hrs away for them to fix it. So please anyone thinking of buying a camper from one of these huge companies that doesn't give a $#*! about anything but their money. STAY AWAY FROM CAMPING WORLD. I will fix it myself. Because I'm sure they will try to charge me.

Purchased used RV in summer of 2022, first trip Genrator and electric system goes out completely 1,500 miles from home. Have to sell for huge loss, try to get my Good Sam money back and they cheat me out of over $1,000.00. I involve the State Consumer affairs and after months, an email of "oops we mad a boo boo, honest mistake" still waiting for my money but they admitted they stole and cheated me in writing. They then deny that Good Sam and Camping World are one in the same even though they are owned by same company and operate in the exact same 187 locations. Absolute Liars, Cheats and thieves.

Shout out to Ryan at the service center in Piqua Ohio! We were on our way to Tennessee when our tire blew on the highway. We could not get the lug nuts off and my husband ran down the road to the service center. Ryan drive him back and helped get the tire changed in the rain! Not too many people go out of their way to help others nowadays so this was so appreciated! Thank you Ryan!

This is the WORST place to buy or have your RV worked on! After purchasing our RV we had it in their shop for warranty repair, that we ended up having to pay $2200 of. They had our RV for 11 months to replace flooring and fix a leak! After getting it back, the leak popped again and now they are giving us the run around. Apparently they don't warranty their warranty work!

I was looking to Purchase a used RV 2-16-2023, i ended up at Camping World ( what a mistake) After making a deal on the 1 we wanted, i got a text on monday i needed to call the salesman. It was the old bait and switch tactic ( we were bidding on a different trailer they said). After another 2 hours we came to an agreement of sorts. I am still waiting for all things to become reality. This is one of the worst events of my life. Here is an email i sent to one of the finance guys after getting no results from the worthless salesman... this was on 3-21-2023.I just wanted you to be aware of these issues i have had with this purchase. It has taken me a month to obtain the service agreement details. I am still awaiting the TV remote situation. I have been just appalled at the way i have been taken care of after the purchase of the RV. Not sure what i need to spend in $ to be treated like a human at your establishment. I am relatively certain i will not obtain that level anyway. As i will spend thousands to avoid any more treatment like this! They never really did anything they said they would ( YET). The walk through we went through was a joke. I new more than they guy showing it to us. He could not figure out the bed, how to lower and Raise it. I see i am not the only one with issues with them. They are an absolute Joke. I doubt anything can be done to hold them accountable Thanks

Faulty Campers and Worthless Warranty!
March 18, 2023

Don't get fooled by the nice store! The warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on and they're constantly sending me letters saying my warranty is expired when I have 4 1/2 more years of warranty. I bought a new camper that is supposed to be made for cold weather. The bottom of the camper is completely enclosed and the pipes are insulated and heat blows on them preventing them from freezing during cold weather, unless the heater breaks. My heater broke during the first big freeze after buying the camper, causing my pipes to freeze. I about froze to death! Then they refuse to fix it and say it's operator error. Even after their own technicians say it's not. They will not put you in a hotel while your camper is being fixed either, even though they say they will when you're buying the camper and warranty. I will never buy another thing from camping world or good Sam.

Huge mistake
March 15, 2023

Worst mistake we have made.bought our 5th wheel from camping world so excited planned a trip over Christmas with our daughter and husband.Got to our camp site it was freezing. We had the 5th wheel no big deal we'll it was a big deal. Slide wouldn't come out.No heat in bed or bathroom. So we packed up and drove home christmas eve. After the holidays we contacted our local camping world scheduled to take the 5th wheel to them. That was 3 months ago.We understood the waiting time for warranty approval. Having to waiting on parts they arrived 4 weeks ago. Got a call saying camper would be ready on the 13th of March. Went to pick up the 5th wheel and when we got there sorry not ready. They would have everything done in a day or 2.Got a call this evening said should be ready by Monday. Got a call 5 minutes later saying they don't know when it will be ready.I work in auto parts I know how important customer service is I don't understand how they are still in business. If
I will never recommend camping world to anyone. Run the other way.stay away from camping world. The whole time we've made our payments on time and extra. Planned a trip to Kissimmee for our grandson 18th birthday that was 4 weeks ago.Couldnt spend Christmas with my daughter and now my grandson as turned 18 and I couldn't be there. My great granddaughter turns 3 in a month would love to spend her birthday with all the family but not making plans. This has been a nightmare on camping world.
