Still have no camper
March 15, 2023

So my husband and I went to camping world in Akron to by a camper. This was first time we ever went to buy a camper. Well we went there on August the 20th of 2022 found a camper so we went back up the next week on August the 27th 3022 to pick it up and the slide out was broke on the brand new camper pulled loose from the camper. So they claimed it would only take a week to fix ha ha! So here we are a month later on September the 27th demanding another just like that one. Now mind you we called repeatedly about the first camper. So they sent paper work to sign to bring another camper to us they brought it on September the30th well guess what it had a cracked water pump and the the underbelly was full of water. They came got it took it back to cw Akron and it's still there. We called them in Feburary of 2023 and asked if it was done and said yes so we scheduled a day to bring it back on March the 3rd of 2023. So we both took off from work and they never showed or called to say they was not coming. So we we went there and it was still not done went there on Sat the 4th the underbelly was still full of water and not winterized because they winterized the 1st came we didn't take. What a joke still waiting

Sales Evaluation
March 15, 2023

Like all exchanges in business particularly when you're dealing with the complexities of recreational vehicles when you encounter people who are professional kind and net worthy you really need to highlight them. Susan Johnson and others were extremely helpful. I also observed people who were acquiring extremely expensive recreational vehicles and they could not have been more attentive with them. What I demand is transparency in these type of exchanges which I received. There are always glitches when you're engaged in these complex devices which get more complex every year. Noteworthy where the people in finance and I enjoyed it very much. I will receive my RV on Friday.

Purchased a motor home from camping world of Syracuse when they went through the walk through when we bought it the gentleman that took us to show us how things work said this is this and you can look through the book for that and now can you sign my paper. That was 2013 now 2023 went to buy a travel trailer and they showed us a couple and we decided on a Coleman and went back inside to go over numbers and for some reason the price went up 10,000$ more from outside to inside just from adding tax, sway hitch and brake control and tax.We intern said thanks but no deal and said sorry for wasting your time.As we were leaving I heard the manager give kind of a chuckle behind me.Great job for customer service for a boss to show his workers it's ok to do this to customers. Then Cicero camping world online live chat gives me a few travel trailers to look at and cuts me off good job that's camping world customer service. As you see it starts at the top.

Camping World sucks. I have had nothing but problems since the day my rv was delivered. Shower door is not functioning properly. Water leak in spare bathroom, trim and molding falling off, coming undone. The head of the service department does NOT return my phone calls. You would be better off buying a car and staying in a hotel.

I purchased a 2022 Forest River Impression 5th wheel from Camping World in St. George, Utah. The dealer charged me $1995 for dealer preparation and the "walk through". It was more like a run through and I had pointed out that the pantry door was not secured and the locking mechanism was missing. They assured me that they would repair that prior to me taking possession of the unit. Also, the "automatic leveling system" had issues and the mechanic had to play with it to get it to cooperate. He said there! And we proceeded to other aspects of the rig. We drove it home and the pantry door was unsecure and had been flopping and slamming into the jamb. Of importance to this issue is that the TV, sound system, and fireplace are all mounted on the door. Long story short, the TV did not work and the fireplace did not work and was barely secured to the backing. Long story shorter, I repaired both receptacles ( both had unsecure ground wires). The backing for the fireplace was toast so I reattached and secured the backing to the fireplace. The "automatic leveling system" which the mechanic had problems with was no better for me. After I researched the system on line I got it working. Both bar stools had bolts missing and my wife found herself on the floor. Three out of the four bolts securing the legs to the seats were missing. A trip to the hardware store and the seats are operational.
So what did I pay $1995 for? Maybe they washed the windows! I received a call from a woman asking how satisfied with the purchase I was and I told her. I asked would I be receiving the $1995 back as nothing was done to prepare the RV for the road. She giggled and I've never heard from her again. There were other issues with the purchase that I did not like such as, inserting the extended warranty for the RV ($7,367.83) and the rim and tire warranty ($1783.41) without any discussion or approval. How they want the buyer to finance the purchase at 7.99% interest for at least one year. They must get a kickback or fee for this sham! Who would finance anything for 7.99%? The whole purchase process didn't smell right and in fact was shaky at best. I would not recommend Camping World to anyone who appreciates a fair shake when purchasing an RV.

When my family and I went to go look for a new camper we met Nick. Nick is a great guy and seemed to know a lot. He helped us with what we needed and answered all of our questions! Great store and would 100% recommend.

The purchase was simple 3/2022 of course because no delays when they are making the mighty green $.
Service - a nightmare a year going and strong.
From no follow up email or auto system or calls.
Lies - of parts being order and us calling the manufacturer to verify no order has been submitted.
Multiple calls to Marcus in corporate which are trained call center rep who handles issues.
Lies - they are working on it and us showing up unannounced and the RV had not been touched.
2 manager changes - three employee gone who were assigned to our Work order.
Changed locations from Ft Pierce Florida (where no one knows nothing and everyone passes the buck) to
Location in Kissimmee in Florida 1/2/2021 (We asked for our parts which showed up 4 months later and sat in service for 2 months with no work or notification to us. Only to hear them say we cant find your parts so we are giving you someone else's parts b/c they are the same decor). REALLY WOW! SO we took our parts to a different camping world.)where we thought oh great a breathe of fresh air Kissimmee Florida this rep is on the ball. Which she was until she was gone. Now no one knows anything and not sure where things were left off. They just read notes which are not updated. So here we are it was a slide motor issue it was diagnosed 1/10/2023 and no parts were ordered until Feb 15. So it sat for a month with no part ordered. Then the parts we provided were to replace wood facing in the outdoor kitchen and a piece for the left closet door in the front room (master) which in Fort Pierce a employee screwed the wood piece from the fromt vs the sides. So screws were exposed. The repair for that was due to a cabinet wood frame was cut in an angle vs straight. The damage piece was unscrewed to fix angle and was to be put right back. It was left laying in the cabinet so the new tech screwed it up literally. SO now we are hoping they cut a new piece correctly and that they installed it correctly. HOPING the kitchen is correct. Then hoping the installation of the new slide motor is done correctly and in a timely fashion...sadly we are at their mercy.

The only times anyone did anything or called or emailed was because corporate made phone calls and communication.

CONCLUSION -----All is WARRANTY WORK so we are at the end of the line against a paying customer.
We have only been able to use our RV 6 times in 2022 and now they won't even extend the warranty so that when we do use it - if something happens from a more frequent use - we get coverage.

Horrible sales program
February 26, 2023

We did NOT buy a trailer from Camping World in Uxbridge, MA. We were assigned a sales associate and brought to a small office. We told her what we were interested in seeing AND gave her the model numbers. We were then asked about finances, credit, our trade, etc. We told her the trade was excellent in every way. She then continued down a lengthy list about our trade. We again told her everything was excellent. She asked about our budget again and continued down her list. I felt like I was being interrogated and judged. After 15 minutes I stood up, asked my wife if she was ready to leave, and did so. We never saw a trailer. I will NEVER shop there again. We are on our third trailer, know what we want, and pricing thanks to the internet. We just wanted a walk-through so we could decide.

In 11/12/2022 we bought a new Forest River Seirra Luxury 5th wheel 5 slides all the works. #1 got it home and found the linoleum in living room was ripped so they gave us a chunk that's not the same #2 about 3 months of having it the On Demand water heater went out we called not 1 or 2 but 3 times and no one would call me back so I hired a gentleman that does warranty work for CW and because I didn't go through them first they would not cover it. Over a week we waited to hear from them. Got tired of no hot water. #3 now we have 5 slides well we got hit with heavy heavy rain got the next morning and the kitchen floor was all wet this camper has a bath and a half well the 1/2bath is next to the bedroom slide. We'll the bathroom slide leaks bad and fluds the kitchen. I called CW and raised hell and they said for me to call this gentleman to get it fixed I did he was on his way to CW for parts and he would talk to them and they would call me back that was just over 2Weeks ago. No calls no nothing. So now till we get good weather it's all ducttaped up looks like $#*!. Now u all ready for this. We called the Forest River in Indiana and they said what we suppose to do we're in Indiana. So CW and Forest River can care less about the Customers once they sell the camper. So this is how I feel about CW@!%#$&@& and u all know what that means.

Dropped off RV mid Oct for minor repairs called in mid Dec to get an update nothing was done! Got RV back in late Jan after I called the vinyl repair Co and told them to fix it and if Camping World didn't pay him I would! Worst Service I have ever received! Don't understand why I had to take the RV down 2-3 months before they even touched it! Still have refrigerator problems and have called Keystone and Ref manufacture with no results. DO NOT BUY AN RV WITH A 12 VOLT REFRIGERATOR unless you are going camp in a site with plugin's.

Ineptitude at its finest!
February 15, 2023

Brought our 2022 Thor in because the door handle broke completely off on a trip in Michigan. Dropped the unit off November 3 and they placed order for new handle. Part came in and it was the wrong one. It is now February 15 and the 4th wrong part just arrived. We have missed out on multiple trips and finally decided to pick it up using the deadbolt and a rope to hold the door shut. I was told on the phone the service guys would show me how to dewinterize the unit, check tire pressure as a complimentary gesture. I arrived to pick it up and the service department told me I would be charged for an hour labor fee. Frustrated I was able to get the tire pressure checked out after a few guys acted like I was asking for gold plated tires. So now I can only expect a 5th, 6th and 7th wrong part to be delivered while driving an hour and half to drop it off. Think I'm better off voiding the warranty by installing a house door kit on it just so we can drive down the road without tying it shut with a rope. Do not waste your time with this place! Considering selling the unit and giving up on RV life altogether due to ineptitude in the highest sense!

A Sales Staff You Can Trust
February 13, 2023

We recently bought a used class C RV camper from Camping World. We dealt mainly with sales clerk Chelsey Beadle to find the perfect RV for our family. Although we spent more money than we thought we would spend, the staff bent over backwards to make sure the RV was in mint condition and the entire staff at Camping World demonstrated so much integrity, we never felt anxious about buying this major purchase. Berta Bullington was a helpful sales clerk in the store who knows the essential supplies to stock the camper and she knows the best deals to save you money. We haven't picked it up yet, but we are so excited and can't wait to hit the road. Larry and Martha Dostert

Don't waste your time
February 8, 2023

Don't waste your time! The salesman and sales manager are liars and cheats.
We found a fantastic deal on a used camper! Inquired over the phone and were told it was in great condition and "corporate" just set a really good price because the old service manager took in too many campers and had left it for too long. We drove 2 hours only to be called 30 minutes from the dealership and told the camper wasn't there. They said it was at the local welding and tire shop getting new tires. We initially thought it was odd, because why would a camping store of this caliber not do their own tire work? When we told them we were close and asked if we could possibly go to the tire shop to check it out they said no. We drove back the next day to see the completed camper, only to find the tires had not been replaced and the trailer had flood damage on every wall and soft floors.
The sales manager lied directly to us and tried to sell our little family a damaged trailer. The general manager was made aware of the situation and didn't even bat an eye, before trying to upswell us on something else. After reading yelp reviews, this seems to be their common practice! Please save yourself and your family and go somewhere who actually uhas your best interest at heart, even if you're paying a little more.

Buyer beware
February 7, 2023

Purchased a 2020 Midwest Automotive Designs Legend from Campingworld RV Roseville, CA. Motorcoach is nice enough, but the experience was less than stellar. During walkthrough, tech kept repeating that he wasn't familiar with the unit and had to refer to another tech to figure out how to turn the inverter on. I had paid the $1,200 prep fee so they could ensure the RV was fully functional. When I got the RV home the furnace stopped working. Called their service line to seek advice and it was like they immediately forgot who I was. I had to call the manufacturer direct and they were far more helpful. Needless to say I am quite disappointed with the experience given the huge investment that I just made. Hopefully I'm the exception here, but buyer beware. The second they release the vehicle to you, then you're on your own. If you are the owner of this dealership, I do want to speak with you so please call. You know how to find me.

Trying to sell my camper
February 4, 2023

We made an agreement for them to by my 2020 Forrester. They knew the issues and made me an offer. After they got the camper, they revised their offer citing " crinkly wallpaper and missing rubber feet from the table." They knew they had it, and revised the price $800 bucks betting I'd cave. They won. The scam is "the repair department is seperate..."

Service Scammers
February 3, 2023

I brought my Motorhome in for an oil change and a free courtesy inspection. They called to tell me I needed a new smoke detector $18.00 plus a half hour labor. I said no, came home and changed the 9volt battery, all good there. They should buy a tester. Then they said they should do a spot treatment on the caulk around the Motorhome. I have caulk at home but figured go ahead, it's a spot testament. They charged me $760 for labor. They caulked the entire MH which still was only 54'. I figure they charged me $14' for something I did not need or approve, they said a spot treatment. Their defense was eggs and bread went up in price, they Mammed me to death. For the oil change, oil filter and labor there was a $140 shop supplies fee. Out the door for my oil change $1321. Horrible experience, stay away from Kristina, has no clue how to treat a customer. She told me because I was a race car driver I should no better.

Jerked Around
February 1, 2023

Bought a motorhome from Camping World of Bartow, FL the beginning of Aug didn't get it until the end of Dec they jerked us around so much with why the work was not being done. Not one person knows what the other departments are doing parts doesn't know what service is doing and vise versa they could truly care less about there customers. It got so bad when I would walk in they scattered. I should have worried sooner when they make you sign an arbitration agreement when purchasing.
I finally picked the unit up the end of Dec and the work was not done at that point I could see nothing was going to change. I was told twice there was no money owed paid in full two times.
Low and behold I recieve a phone call yesterday the last day of January you owe us $3600.00 more dollars they said we'll service doesn't know what's going on, sounds to me know one there does. I guess on to arbitration!
Never ever deal with this company worse experience ever!

We purchased a 5th wheel from a sales guy named Steve. He is the Larry Leisure used car sales man looking dude. We purchased it on a sale and he came across as he was doing us a favor. When we did the FINAL walk through they walked us through a different trailer, telling us it was ours. We discovered it was a different 5th wheel when they delivered a trailer that was not only filthy, but had all the original stickers left in it. The one we did the FINAL walked through did not. We called them and spoke with Travis, TK (the GM), and Scott. None of which listened to the actual issue, but gave what they thought were solutions to something that was not the problem. You just swindled a customer by playing the switcharoo. All they said was well you have a manufacturer's warranty. We were told since you don't have pictures or video there is nothing you can do. Really!?! Spoke to district manager Diana or Deana which took our information and then never called back. Come to find out there was a leak in the bathroom skylight and down the shower wall, and the hot water heater was busted. This was a new trailer. Do not purchase from this property or company. They say if you are not happy they are not happy, but they don't care as long as they get your cash. Being this was our first experience making a purchase like this it will definitely be the last with Camping World. Wish there were negative stars I could give. Make sure you record everything when dealing with these people.

We sat and waited for our RV to be repaired for 8 hours. They did not do one repair in 8 hours. We waited in the waiting area and kept asking after waiting 4 hours when it would be done. They were small repairs that were from purchase date. They neglected to tell us they had to order the parts, they sold us an 8000.00 extended warranty with elite service. Ha Ha. The worst experience! No one knew what they were doing.
