The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation, with customers frequently expressing frustration over prolonged service delays, inadequate repairs, and poor customer support. Many reviews highlight issues with product quality and the perceived lack of accountability from the company, particularly regarding warranty claims and post-purchase service. While a few customers noted positive interactions with individual staff members, these instances are overshadowed by widespread dissatisfaction with sales tactics and unresolved complaints. Horrible company
January 25, 2023

I bought a Kathy Ireland modular recliner set online in march 2022. On one side the cushion is already completely broke down. I reached out to camping world and asked what could be done. The kept me waiting on a resolution for 2 weeks. They finally responded yesterday and said that I should take my couch to a camping world location ( I don't have a vehicle to move a couch) and that they SHOULD be able to help me as it is still under warranty. When I asked what my warranty was so I would be informed when going to the location I was told that they could not tell me that information but that someone at the store SHOULD be able to look it up.I have not had one good word to say about them to anyone since buying our motorhome but this is just the icing on the cake. If you want to peacefully live in your motorhome or rv DO NOT deal with camping world!

Shady RV Sales
January 21, 2023

I Spoke to Scott in sales at Camping World to sell my 2021 RV after purchasing for temporary use due to Hurricane Ian for my parents. They offered $25,000 to put the unit on consignment or $23,000 to buy it out. That all changed once the RV was on site and is now a far drive to retrieve. We previously discussed the awning needed to be replaced and that the manufacturer quoted $1,500 for a new awning. However, Camping World service department is claiming it is $3,300, despite what we previously discussed. After complete inspection they are now offering $16,000 for a 36ft 2021 Coachman Catalina. Incredible for an RV that appliances were barely touched and external kitchen never used. Camping World is a company that I had the displeasure of dealing with and I hope people avoid their services and deceitful practices in the future.

2 1/2 years ago we had a R/V fridge bought and installed by camping world. The day it was installed the ice maker didn't work, come to find out it had two plugs that need electricity and they only used one. Now 2 1/2 years later the fan is making an awful noise, (we thought we bought a 5 year warranty but after calling them they said it was 2 years and already expired) so my husband and his friend ( a maintenance man) pulling it out to see what was going on, apparently the installers didn't pull the instructions and the new mounting bars out, they must have used the old ones. My husband called camping world and the said it was our responsibility to check and remove it all, weird we bought it from them and they installed it, we never even saw it until it was in the motorhome.
If You Purchase From Them Go Somewhere Else To Have It Installed

I ordered several replacement boat seats from them, they were shipped by FedEx (no other options are offered). FedEx delivered them to the wrong address... Because I have not had good luck with anything that has come
By-way-of FedEx I will NO Longer Order Anything from Camping World or any of
Their other Businesses (Gander Outdoors, Overtons)!

Forever problem
January 11, 2023

I would never recommend anyone to purchase from Camping World RV. I purchased a 2019 Heartland Pioneer. The first problem l had was one week after l bought it that l had to replace the drain piping directly under the bathtub which had broken due to no support bracket underneath the tub to protect the drain pipe from the weight of someone standing in the tub while taking a shower, first time l took a shower water began leaking onto the floor from a broken drain pipe directly under the tub.The propane refrigerator and propane furnace stopped working after the first year of use. And mind you l probably had a total of 30 days of usage out of both of these appliances before they would no longer work. After 3 years l had to redo the roof because it was leaking. Also, recently l brought my furnace into a camping world facility and they wanted to charge me $185 just to diagnose my furnace. A furnace that l barely used before it went out. I will never purchase another product from this organization again. And l will be sure to let as many people know that they will spend alot of money for a product that they will have to spend alot of money to fix. Mind you, that this trailer is only going on 4 years old. I am just waiting for more things to break as l continue to pay for this RV Camper...l truly wish there was a way to sue Camping World together with the manufacturers. They truly are ripping people off by knowingly producing defective products and selling them at an outrageous price.

Bunch of bs
January 10, 2023

Bought our trailer in October of 2021 with the extended warranty. Heater quit working paneling falling off bathroom door fell off rollers. Made appointment in Sept to get fixed they set appointment for November. Was told manufacturer warranty wasn't going to cover cause it had to be done before November. Now saying extended warranty won't cover. I will never recommend anyone buy from them.

I have a rv from camping world. They tell you that you have a three year warranty but it's a lie. Warranty for first year is for the things inside your camper. But they will always say it's your fault and make you pay for it. The second year warranty is the outside warranty. But again it's your fault and they won't fix it. The 3rd year is just structure. They always get out of doing anything. They don't care about the customers. All they care about is money. The one that bought shares Marcus Lemonis he don't care about anything. Except money. They just slap them together they don't test them to see if they are right. They always want you to bring them up to the shop when something is wrong with it. They want you to use your gas to bring it and to bring it back home. They don't want to make service calls because they know they would lose money with all the repairs. The service team sits around talking and don't work. The make out like they fix it and don't. If you by a used rv they tell you you have a warranty. But when you call them about a repair they tell you that you don't have warranty. So that you would have to pay them for the repairs.when I got mine the awning tore up the stove wouldn't light a door fell down window leaks. Oh and the heat tore up.i have had my rv fora little over 4 years but they always wanted me to bring it up and the awning was hanging out. I have a friend that got a rv from them and she had to fight them to get the toll package put on they wasn't even going to put it on and she had paid for it. She has leaks coming out from under the bunkbedsand a toilet leak and a leak under the bathroom sink. She hasn't had it but 2 months a they don't want to fix them. We should all get lawyers and take everything we can get from them.they need to be put out of business.

They sold me a New $50,000 2021 camper with leaking windows and water inlets, hole in the roof, broken furnace, broken refrigerator, hot water tank leaking, water pump is leaking, fenders are all broke off the frame, 1 tee handle for grey and black tank that was bent, bath tub leaks. I asked for them to fix it and they said it will be 300-500 dollars for them to come out and look at it. I had put $2000 into repairs that I did myself within the first year of owning it. I called them asking for my money that I owe ($42,000) because they sold the camper to me with so many problems after they told me they had their techs go through the camper and made sure everything works and they offer me $20,300.

I have been on the phone with them for 3 days now, the first caller from the Syracuse dealership just told me she cant do anything then after me saying wtf she told me not to call back and deal with it. The second lady told me that i bought a extended warranty that I didn't know about but when i call the dealership to ask them to fix it they say i have no warranty and i have to pay out of pocket. The third person i talk to in cooperate just said the same thing that the 2nd lady said but now is saying that some of the damages wont be covered.

THIS COMPANY IS A $#*!ING JOKE

This is the review I wrote for Maxie Price RV in Loganville, Ga...When I'm researching RV's to buy...they give me maybe 3 pictures of the RV...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Camping World gives me 27 pictures of an RV...my advice...go to Camping World RV at least they give you all the pictures you need to see to make a decision...Maxie Price just wants you to come into their dealership & haggle from there...I'M OUT...I WANT TO I KNOW WHAT I WANT OR WHAT I'M GETTING INTO BEFORE GOING TO A RETAIL OUTLET!

HOWEVER...CAMPING WORLD ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY IS HORRIBLE AT SHOWING THEIR BUYERS THE ORIENTATION OF HOW TO HOOK UP STUFF FROM THEIR TRAVEL TRAILER WHEN THEY KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT HOW TO DO IT...ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE 1ST TIME BUYERS...TRAIN YOUR PEOPLE HOW ABOUT IT!

This place is no place to do business with. Untill lately I had respect for its mobile service department. Thats quickly going away. Our refrigerator is broken again in this 2019 unit... For the 3rd time in 12 months! They are in no real hurry to see it repaired. First time it broke was down for 6 weeks. Second time it broke it wad down for 3 week. Only be cause I went on line and bought the part out of our pocket. We have the worthless Good Sam Insurance they tell you will save somuch time and money. Bull$#*!! Now, the entire fridge is ka-poot. The mobile service department is sitting on their hands getting ready to party on January 1st. Will update soon.

Worst place I have ever dealt with. They do not deserve any stars as far as I am concerned. I recommend recording your conversations with the service department and keep a memo of record and get everything in writing that you can. It took 5 months to get warranty work completed and was lied to about repairs made. It's a long story but I have documentation that backs up my statements above. Check out their other reviews before doing business there. If you buy your RV from another dealer and go there for service or warranty work you will not be valued. I was even told to pick up my unit before the warranty work was completed or be charged a storage fee so they could service other units that were purchased there. Forest River told me that I could go to any service center that sold their products. I always shop around and will travel to another state to purchase big ticket items if I can save money. Even with my vehicles if I drive four hours away to get a better deal, I can always go to my local dealer for service and warranty work with no issues. After my first dealings with Camping World of Colfax and finding out after getting back home that my camper still was not fixed, I took the drive to the dealership where I originally purchased it. After inspecting my unit the service department turned in a warranty claim to Forest River and was denied the claim because of an open ticket still at Camping world of Colfax. Forest River contacted me and sent documentation proving that the parts ordered for the biggest problem had been delivered and signed for. They even had the names of the people who signed for the parts. These parts were in their possession when I picked up my unit. I was told that those repairs had been made already. I was in a hurry when I picked the unit up and only did a quick look at the repairs. The control module inside the door was actually hanging off the wall and I went back inside and they sent someone out to remount it to the wall. I was told that it had been repaired and they must have forgotten to remount it. So I had to return the camper to Colfax again to have it repaired. I missed over a day from my job in travel time plus a tank of fuel or more trying to get this resolved. I was disrespected at Camping World and more or less threatened with a storage fee if I didn't come pick it up the first time. Plus the comment that my unit was not purchased there and that is was basically in their way didn't help the situation. I wonder if they turned in the work order to Forest River as being complete before it actually was? I was disrespected, lied to and bullied. I have waited a week before making any comments hoping that I would cool off but the more I write, the more disgusted I get. My family, friends and I will never do business with Camping World in the future.

Camping World will rip you off. Terrible customer service. They guarantee what you purchase is in perfect condition, when you get it home there are many thing wrong. They charge the purchaser $799.00 for the camper to be perfect but they never fix. When you, the customer, demand repairs, you just pay more to the rotten company. Everyone who works there is compromised and crooked just like Camping World. Do not shop there.

A JOKE!
December 9, 2022

If I could leave zero stars I would. I bought a camper and as soon as they recieved my money they ignored me. They charged me for a delivery fee and never delivered the camper so I paid a private company to retrieve it. The camper was not clean. Bugs and mice invested. Broken toilets, where blind was broken and the fender was broke. I contacted the office of the ceo and was told they parts would be shipped to the camping world closes to me and would be repaired. It's been 3 months and they still don't have the correct parts. Everyone that's contacted me has no idea what's going on and can't give me an answer. I've had to have pest control come in and paid a company to clean out the furnace as there was mice bedding in the vents. The awning was broken. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! GO THROUGH ANYONE ELSE TO BUY A CAMPER.
