I PURCHASED A KEYSTONE LARADO 5TH WHEEL IN OCT 2017 AND IT NEEDED A
FACET IN THE KITCHEN WHEN IT WAS NEW. IT TOOK 3 WEEKS FOR CAMPING WORLD TO REPLACE IT. ON JANUARY 2TH OF 2019 THE 5TH WHEEL WAS TAKEN BACK TO CAMPING WORLD BECAUSE OF A WINDOW LEAK AND THE SERVICE DEPT SAID THEY WOULD EVALUATE THE PROBLEM AND GET BACK WITH ME IN A
COUPLE OF DAYS. TWO WEEKS LATER THEY HADN'T EVEN INSPECTED THE UNIT.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE DEPT TO ANYONE!

Service & Sales review.
November 7, 2021

We bought a camper this year, within11 days of having it, the roof leaked with the first rain. Took camper in for service was told it would be covered up or stored in shop while we had to wait for parts and manufacture paperwork approval. Almost 2months later we check up on out camper at camper world and the camper has so much water damaged due to not being taking care of with the known leak it had. Wasn't covered or sealed or put in the shop. We are still waiting on parts & the service team neglected our BRAND NEW CAMPER. It is completely ruined from the rain. A simple tarp could have saved this issue. Problem 1: sold us a camper with several issues. Problem 2. Assured us the camper would be safe with them & would be either covered, sealed, or placed in shop so water wouldn't do anymore damage.
Service manager had nothing to say to us besides admitting it was never covered. General Manager will not return a phone call to us and wasn't there that day. Camper world needs to make things right. Me and my family deserve a replace camper. This has been so stressful. This was out home that we were going to be living in.
Camper world North Little Rock Arkansas. Should be ashamed of their self's. This should have never been the case with a brand new camper, & because of the service team being careless me and my family's home is ruined. I'll i am asking is for camper world to make things right. As well as someone to reach back out to us instead of giving us the cold shoulder. I can send pictures to private addresses or even do a personal meeting.

We traded in an old damaged camper for a used camper last month. First thing that pissed us off was that we had left a tool in the old camper to take the wheel chaulks off with and it went "missing." They just said "Sorry." With the "new" camper we were told the camper was cleaned but underneath the stove and the sink were a ton of old mouse/rat poop (thankfully no signs of the creatures still). We wanted to PAY them to do a scrape and seal on the roof, the maintenance person said they had already done it, once we finally got up there we found out it hadn't been done. And at one point they had the awning out (I'm sure to do an inspection) and didn't inform us that the awning had broken away from the camper and the wood underneath the one arm is rotting, PLUS they rolled it up wet so when we opened it water poured out and the entire thing is filled with mold/mildew. We were warned they weren't the best to work with, and we had hoped since the sales person seemed awesome that we would have a good experience, but it seems not. This was Wentzville, MO.

Overpriced Garbage
September 9, 2019

Here's the jist of our story, if you want to read: A year ago we traded our 36' travel trailer in at Camping World in Wood Village, OR for a brand new Jayco Jayflight. We took a huge hit on the trade-in (we got less than 50% of what we still owed on the old - but in decent shape - trailer), but needed a smaller trailer. After a nightmare with financing the new trailer, we took a huge financial hit registering it in Colorado. A year later, the "maintenance-free" batteries are shot, the water pump doesn't work, and the refrigerator was installed incorrectly, and doesn't work... it has been at the Longmont Camping World for repairs all summer (because the Camping World in Golden refused to return my numerous requests for an appointment in the Spring), and they just told us they have to remove the entire roof due to damage from the refrigerator! It is 1 year old, and an expensive piece of garbage. I'm so disappointed! We were told the roof and refrigerator should be covered under warranty, but not the garbage batteries they put on it, and not the water pump (even though we winterized it according to the owner's manual). We were told this was a "well-built" trailer, but that is obviously a lie we were told so the salesperson could get his commission. I'll NEVER spend another dime at Camping World!

My husband and I signed papers to buy a camper trailer last Thursday. The process was as overwhelming and time-consuming as buying a car. We had a bottom line price we wanted to spend on the camper and ended up adding about $5,000 more with warranty, protective coating, and taxes. There was actually a charge of over $1,400 to "get the camper ready" for us, which I thought was a bunch of bologna in the first place. Let me tell you how that has worked out thus far.
After signing the papers Thursday, we were supposed to pick up the trailer Friday. When we went to pick it up, there was an exterior light out, and the brakes on the trailer were not working. (Because my husband is familiar with driving trailers, he knew how to test the trailer's brakes; I wonder what would happen to the first-time buyer who doesn't know better and has to stop quickly and the trailer rams into his/her car and possibly a car ahead of him/her.)
Back to the story - we were supposed to be able to pick it up the following Monday, but nobody called. I called several times today (Tuesday); it took me three times and several minutes on hold to find out the camper was indeed ready for pick-up. When we got there, the brakes were still not working. The service techs had assumed it was fixed as they found a bad connection. However, it was not the connection; it was the brakes. They had not even checked the brakes! I would think that checking the brakes would be part of the $1,400+ charge! At any rate, the trailer is still being serviced, so up to this point, we have never left the lot with our camper. My husband and I are extremely disappointed, to say the least.

Made the mistake of contacting them before reading reviews--big mistake. Don't deal with Dilip whatever you do, and I would take a hard pass on this Camping World altogether.

We were interested in a Jayco North Point 377RLBH they had listed for $81,999 and they setup a virtual tool for us. Afterwards the salesman was telling me to make an offer if I liked it. I did, with our paid-off trade (we also bought from Camping World), then they came back with a price sheet listing the RV for $96,999. The salesman was off the next day and I got a follow-up from Tori who seemed very nice and said she saw the RV on their lot priced at 81,999. I said I was interested in that one, but the price sheet I got was for a lot higher price. I attached the price sheet to the text thread at that point and she said at that point she'd get with Dilip and have him reach out to me.

Then he reached out today and said they have other units available. Not sure if we're being discriminated against (my wife is black and we did have video on for the tour), or if there is something else deceptive going on, but these types of bait-and-switch tactics is something I usually see from shady used car dealers or backwater RV lots selling used RVs.

Thanks for your time reading this. I hope other customers don't run into this same issue, as I usually have a great experience from Camping World and this isn't the norm for me. Have bought two RVs from other locations and have dealt with a number of Camping Worlds, and this has been by far the worst experience I've encountered.

We bought a new camper in Febuary, We have had one problem after another with the service department. We had quite a few problems with our unit and everytime we had to bring it in it was a horrible experience. They offer nothing but excuses and promise you the world. They brought in a manager from a different Camping World who was supposed to fix all the problems and she was no better! A couple of examples...The decal was torn when we first got the unit and they were supposed to replace it, took forever to come in then when we were told it was replaced we realized that instead of replacing the decal they put a piece of black electrical tape over the torn spot. The shade was put in wrong over the dinette so they had to fix it, when they fixed it, they put three good sized holes in the leather on the back of the dinette. It took until October for them to replace that rail. There was a leak under the sink that damaged all the wood panels in the front of the sink and drawers, they ordered the wrong part twice, first the wrong color then the wrong size! Again, this did not get fixed until October. I contacted the CEO's office and towards the end, the only way I could get the manager to respond to me was by CC'ing my CEO contact. This experience, which should have been a very happy time for us, was an absolute nightmare. I will coclude by saying I rarely write reviews but I hate to see anyone go through what we experienced!

Purchased a Thomas Paine tri-fold sofa, delivered on time but missing parts and no instructions on assembly due to being shipped in sections. Called camping world to let them know that there was no instructions and missing parts. They contacted the distributor but the distributor could not find any order # for the parts called camping world again and customer service could not find the sofa on their website even though I told them that I found it myself but their item number did not match the item number on their website, customer service could not figure out or even solve my problem of no manual or paperwork and missing parts, they said I am pretty much on my own. So that is why only two stars the sofa is nice, Oh one other thing, the website advertises different sizes I ordered a 68" and the actual length is 65" I brought this to customer service attention an again no explatation they did not know or was able to explain why the deminisions were not as advertised. So again customer service is the pits, they are not very familar with the producrs they sell.

Be sure you look underneath your camper before you buy it, and think about purchasing a camper somewhere else Other than camping world. They are a franchise. The only thing they care about is the sale and the commission they get paid for it. Once you sign those papers and they sold you your camper, if you have any problems you can guarantee you will not get them fixed correctly. It will take at least 5 to 6 weeks to get your camper back, and when you call headquarters to place a complaint, all they do is send them an email and they never call you back. They have a slogan " If you're not happy we're not happy" that is the biggest line of crap I ever heard. So basically everything is great if you do not have a problem. But if something happens to your camper for one reason or another you can bet your bottom dollar that you're going to be aggravated and have the worst time of your life. When you express to the employees how upset you are, they do not care. This is the worst place I ever bought a camper, and this is my fourth camper. And I will never buy a camper here again and I encourage you to also do the same. Do yourself a favor and go to a small business or people actually care if you're unhappy we had problems with our gas line, and our stabilizers. Oddly enough when we were standing in the service line to pick up our supposedly repaired camper, there was a woman in front of me who was also waiting six weeks and very upset. I see she still having problems because they didn't fix all of her problems with her camper as well. We have a permanent campsite, and there's three people this year who purchased a camper from camping world who all had issues as well

AS they say on "Lost in Space", "WARNING-WARNING-WARNING-DANGER. A few weeks ago I purchased a new RV from the Camping World in Nashville. For a year I looked at the pictures and the walk around video of the RV. I bought the RV over the phone. When I went to pick it up I was so excited (my wife and I recently retired from ministry) that I believed everything I was told. When we went on our first camping trip I noticed that the rear ladder was not on the RV and the walk around video clearly says there is a rear ladder. The dealership was no help to me (salesman Randy) so I called the main customer service person. The CEO slogan is (if your not happy, I am not happy, Marcus). I talked with Lindsey and after a day she tole me that if I looked at the small print (it took me a magnifying glass) I would see that the legal jargon says the video may not represent the RV that you purchase so there was nothing to be done. I asked to speak with Marcus since he was not happy and they refused. That slogan is not true. I want people to know that Camping World will say anything to make the sale but afterwards tough luck. I am not sure who Marcus is but he is laughing all the way to the bank along with the staff at camping world. If you are looking for an RV please support the "mom and pop" dealers that are out there. There business depends on customer service. When you get a large dealer like Camping World they could care less. The only reason I gave a 1 star is I had to put something down.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CON ARTISTS!

I cannot stress enough just how bad our experience was and now we are out $25k. This started due to camping worlds neglect to fix, and properly maintenance a used unit that came in before reselling it to me. Causing a slide roof to break during a rain storm flooding and ruining the unit. Camping world would not take any sort of responsibility and my insurance can blatantly see that this was due to neglect. So no help there either. Now we have 25k pile of garbage on a trailer just hanging around. Camping world blamed us for the neglect even though we had it In there facility a month after the purchase to look at the slide. The looked at it and even serviced a track. But not the roofs seals or the slide cover that they claimed was installed correctly (which was installed by them prior to our purchase). They claimed they told us of this and we refused service. Which is a joke. They never told us because I would've been all over them for it because it would've been their responsibility due to the time frame of our purchase. This is all on top of the fact that our con artist sales person lied to us about our financing contract. We wanted to buy with cash and was discouraged from doing so with our sales associate claiming he only makes his commission on financing. He told us we could take a small loan then just pay it off after 3 months and their would be no fee for early termination. Well needless to say there was when we went to paybthe balance.

Long story short, save yourself the trouble of dealing with these con artists. Save your money and go elsewhere. They will sell you garbage, and not back their own wrong doing. They way they conduct their business is nothing short of unethical and frankly bordering illegal. (Attorney Generals office has been notified)
