I wouldn't take a FREE camper from this company. I have never been lied to, avoided, or ignored by ANY individual or company the way I have from Camping World North Little Rock AND by their Corporate office. BEWARE don't accept their piece of paper that says "we owe you" because YOU WILL NEVER be able to get them back on the phone. If it's not in your possession or working when you leave with that camper, get used to it. I cannot stress to you my dissatisfaction - it took over TWO weeks JUST to get a set of keys to access our camper - and I had to open a case with the Corporate office. It's been 5 months since we purchased our camper and we were promised a deck - no word yet. We still haven't received our tags for goodness sakes. This company will WEAR you out with calls and answer all questions UNTIL you buy the camper, then they DO NOT CARE. I have purchased two used and one new camper from other dealerships and not had any problems or issues. I've never written a negative review for any other company. I wish I could give a NEGATIVE 5 RATING.

They sold me a New $50,000 2021 camper with leaking windows and water inlets, hole in the roof, broken furnace, broken refrigerator, hot water tank leaking, water pump is leaking, fenders are all broke off the frame, 1 tee handle for grey and black tank that was bent, bath tub leaks. I asked for them to fix it and they said it will be 300-500 dollars for them to come out and look at it. I had put $2000 into repairs that I did myself within the first year of owning it. I called them asking for my money that I owe ($42,000) because they sold the camper to me with so many problems after they told me they had their techs go through the camper and made sure everything works and they offer me $20,300.

I have been on the phone with them for 3 days now, the first caller from the Syracuse dealership just told me she cant do anything then after me saying wtf she told me not to call back and deal with it. The second lady told me that i bought a extended warranty that I didn't know about but when i call the dealership to ask them to fix it they say i have no warranty and i have to pay out of pocket. The third person i talk to in cooperate just said the same thing that the 2nd lady said but now is saying that some of the damages wont be covered.

THIS COMPANY IS A $#*!ING JOKE

If I could leave negative stars, I would. Never have I dealt with a company that was not only unprofessional but also unorganized and down right liars. My boyfriend and I went to purchase an RV due to a very unfortunate event that is leaving us without a home. We brought in our live savings of 30K cash in hopes we might be able to leave with something. The salesman was new and a little all over the place but non the less, he was very kind. We looked at multiple units and ultimately agreed on 2. We then gave $1000 deposit to "hold the unit" and were convinced that financing was a better option by the "finance manager" as he stated "cash is not king". Jeremy (finance manager) sat with us and went over numbers. We explained that we were in a rush and needed one asap. 4 days later ( some rush) we were approved for financing and said we wanted to move forward. Bottom line... the unit we thought we were buying was NOT one we had agreed upon. After wasting yet another 2 days, the store manager said, Troy, apologized for the miss communication and asked me to bring my family down as he wanted to "make it right". We went down to Camping World and not once did Troy bother to speak with us or work with us. We were shown another unit (that Troy suggested) and we loved it. We sat to do paperwork abd were told that it was out of our price range. My family and I will be homeless starting tomorrow. On top of that they pocketed our $1000 which was never told to us! They asked for one hundred dollars down and we opted for more as we were in the building.

Troy provided the worst customer service. Jeremy lied straight to our face and ultimately they took advantage of our situation. Stay far away from these crooks. They are disgusting human beings who lack morals, respect and honesty. They will steal, lie, cheat and take advantage of you!

Buyer beware! Go ANYWHERE BUY HERE!

When this business was RV World of Georgia, our camper experienced great service, competent repairs, and reasonable prices for our annual winter checkup. The business became Gander, but kept the same personnel and policies, so we still got great service. This year, our 8th year for an annual checkup, the company is now Camping World. We brought it in, requesting a check of roof, slide, and systems.

In the end, it took 4 trips and 4 weeks to get the camper back, with very little communication from the service manager. In this time, they broke our front power jack, and replaced it with one off the shelf, which our service manager said they keep in stock because it happens so often. The replacement jack is of poorer quality than the one we put on ourselves. We asked how this happened, and were told they dropped the camper off the ball, which "happens all the time." In 8 years of camping in our trailer and having repairs done, we have never seen a camper dropped off the ball.

Inspection found that new slide edging was needed. Extra screws were put in on the bottom, even though that was not in the repair instructions. This scratched the floor; the service manager implied that it might have been our fault the floor was scratched. When the repair person admitted extra screws were used, Camping World removed the screws and repaired the floor at their own cost.

On trip #3 to pick up the camper, requested caulking had not been completed, but they charged us for it. On trip #4, when we finally got the camper home, we noticed that our custom epoxy-top table was cracked in two places. It is hard to crack epoxy, we have no idea how they managed that, and they didn't tell us about it. The back door no longer closes properly, and the water tank is leaking, both of which were fine before service.

The one thing done right was the roof; it is clean and well-sealed. In short, more things are wrong with the camper than before we brought it to Camping World, and after 8 years they have lost our business.

We bought a motor home from Robertsdale, Al. I have previously written about the HORRIBLE service I got from them during the transaction. I am updating my anger at them. When we bought the motor home we were told that it is a 2017. All the paperwork they gave us said it was a 2017. Now 6 months later we want to sell so we can get a larger RV only to learn that it is not a 2017 but that it is in fact a 2016. This means not only that we overpaid for the RV ( and they knew it) but also that now my selling price has to dropped so I have been screwed by Camping World once again.
My title says it is a 2016 so obviously I must advertise and sell as 2016.
I called them today to discuss this. I asked for the GM and man named Rick came on. When I explained my concern he looked up my file and told me that the chassis is a 2016 but the the coach itself is a 2017 and that it "happens all the time. THIS (expletive) knows that they are misrepresenting the truth of their vehicles and yet still LYING to the customers. How many others have been mislead/ lied to?
My guess is that I am losing about 6-8 thousand dollars as a result of the totally unethical lies these expletives told us. NOT TO MENTION HE ACTED LIKE IT IS NO BIG DEAL. AS he said " It happens all the time"
STAY AWAY.
I just got back from an extended USA trip in my motor home. Every single person that I spoke to had nothing but negative to say about CAMPING WORLD.
We will be buying another, but not from them.

I purchased a new 2022 Jayco Eagle 5th wheel from Richardson's RV and Camping World purchased Richardsons in November of 2022 which had great customer service but since the new ownership my first experience with Camping World was terrible I dropped off my RV for wall tablet issues not working my slides I made 5 phone calls over a 3 week time frame and never received any kind of phone call back so I drove down to Camping World in Colton to get some answer and the young lady in service dept was very nice and helpful she stated the service manager no longer works there and they are playing catch-up after my in person meet my RV was ready the next day, fast forward 2 weeks and my tablet is not working again for my trailer slides, I called a mobile RV tech and he stated to me that the tablet is not the only issue there wires shorting out that controls my slides why was this not caught the first time I was never notified of this issue, I get the feeling once you write the check than they are done with you especially on warranty work so far I am not very satisfied with there performance, I am stuck in the middle because Camping World is the only warranty service within 50 miles of my house. Thanks William K

Worst experience ever. They sold me a unit with the wrong size airconditioner. It was way to small and could not cool the unit under 80 degrees when it was 88 outside in an insulated all seasons camper. Instead of unwinding the transaction when the paperwork was not even turned into the bank, they wanted me to buy it so they can get the end of month sale, pay taxes, tags, and then trade it in at a loss and get them another sale. Of course I refused after behind highly offended that they hurt me and wanted to hurt me more with a larger loss to make them more money instead of fixing their mistake. It has been 2 months and I have made several attempts to the highest level store managers to get the rest of the keys so that I can access the important back door where I need to store my work ladders and could not use the camper for those two months. I owe 2 months of payments and could not use it for the intended use and I still do not have keys 61 days later. They have not even called back in 6 days since the last call where I was assured someone would remedy it. I have not even been called with a plan. They also charged me $1000 for a weight distribution system and never adjusted it correctly on the install to be safe and level and let me drive out that way. I had to have it adjusted at another service center. They charged about $1,400 to install a braking system control and never hooked it to the camper to calibrate as I expected and insisted after $1,400. It was not set to a safe setting when I drove off. I asked them to have their self proclaimed experts to look up my truck and they had the exact year, make, model, engine size etc to make sure it could pull my camper. They said they checked and it could to get the sale. It almost overheated in 80% weather 20 minutes on the road on the way home. Future inquires told me they should have never said that and I believe they never looked it up and did not care, they just wanted a sale. I had to buy another truck to pull it because of course they would not take it back. Worst experience ever.

Buy from anywhere else
October 24, 2019

If I had it to do over again, I would never buy from this company again. The store in Ashland Virginia has the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. We went in on a Sunday to look to possibly trade in our camper for a new one. We found one we liked. They appraised ours and we agreed on numbers. We set up an appointment to take delivery of our new one for later that week. We arrived for picking up our new one. Of course, they were not prepared for us even though we had an appointment. Then the sales manager takes us outside to our trade in. He goes on to say it needs about $6,000 in repairs, so if we could go ahead and give him a check we were good to go. We tell him he is not getting a dime from us. We had already signed the paper work on Sunday for purchase and trade in. Is it our fault they did not do a thorough job, HELL NO. So then 5 minutes later he comes back and tells us he found a wholesaler that would buy it so we were good to go. What a snake. 3 hours later we were finally able to leave with our new camper. We take it that weekend to Cape Hatteras. My wife takes a shower the next morning and the water heater on the electric side is not working. No biggie got it to work on the propane side. After her shower she asks me to go in the bathroom and shows me water coming from under the tub. I open the access panel and the drain in not even connected to the drain pipe. We call camping world to get this fixed. We took it to one in newport news since it is much closer to our home. It has now been there 2 weeks, and they have not done a damn thin yet to fix it. They are waiting on approval from warranty. This thing left the manufacturer not right. We want to use it soon and we are waiting for approval on something that was never right to begin with. SAVE YOUR MONEY. CAMPING WORLD SUCKS!

Con men at work
October 3, 2022

Colfax Camping World
I recently traded a camper in for another.
Of course the initial offer in my camper was reasonable and when I can in suddenly there were issues with my camper and the could not offer as much. My initial response was ok I'll hook back up and come home. My wife like the new camper though so I countered and they accepted. It was a game played by the salesman and manager.
Now I see they are asking more than double what they paid me in trade and that for a camper they said a deer hunter might use.
(It had one soft spot in the floor of a storage compartment it turns out).
So we leave whit the new camper and extended warranty (a 2022 owned 6 months by a couple that got cancer and couldn't use it, I'm sure they too were cheated).
While setting it up for the next trip I find both LP bottles with broken valves. So I make the trip to exchange at our local camping world in Roanoke, VA and they will not exchange.
I then called into "Corporate" and was finally told I'd have to bring them in and they would return to manufacturer's for replacement, meanwhile, I'm without tanks. Did I say I had extended warranty, ain't worth the paper it's written on.
So, being a naive hill Billy, I was cheated on the trade and cheated on the warranty purchase by a company only interested in the bottom line, gone are the days of real service except in isolated regions of the world.
STAY AWAY FROM CAMPER WORLD, GOOD SAMS, or anyplace run by these CONS.

Camping World of Ocala's after sale support is nearly nonexistent. When I stopped in at their office on January 30th (a few days after I bought a new 2017 Winnebago Aspect 27K from them) I asked for help with a warranty question. The lock/unlock button at the
Driver's position would not control the coach door. That meant
When we stopped I had to use the lock control to lock the
Front section doors; then I had to walk around to the other
Side and use a key to lock the coach. Not acceptable.

At the parts/service desk I explained the problem to the man at the
Counter. He was unable or unwilling to help. Eventually I
Spoke with a Mr. Gordon who knew what I was talking about
But said he would discuss it with a colleague and get back
To me. I still await any response five months later.

After swallowing my disappointment that morning I decided
To do it myself. A three-inch small rod was missing between the two holes where It had dropped down. I replaced it and it works as expected.

What wasn't expected was their failure to take any noticeable
Action on my problem. Had I not been working with mechanical
Problems from long before anyone in their organization I would
Have been SOL.

Their finance officer's help also was subpar. I wanted the
Title made out to my trust and registered in North Carolina. She
Could not do either task so it cost me a few thousand dollars
More in taxes to make up for her inadequacy. In addition I
Must do another transfer when I return home.

Georgetown KY store
June 9, 2022

Long story short, this wasn't our first time buying a trailer but it has by far been the worst experience ever at the Georgetown KY store. Found the trailer online, called the store two days later and had arranged for purchase/pickup the following week. We received the complimentary call to confirm we were coming to pick up the day before pickup. Everything was good, right? Wrong! So we drove the 3 hours to the dealership to be met with a 2-1/2 hour fiasco of trying to take our new trailer home with us that day. Our sales guy had the day off. Okay no big deal until no one knew what was going on. Then the trailer wasn't ready. You confirmed we were coming, why is it not ready? The amount we had on our side of things was not the price we were to pay. How do you screen up the price? They had no one to "deliver" it. That was all prearranged so who dropped that ball and we're not leaving without it. We drove 3 hours to get it. And last but not least - they have no trailer keys. Seriously? You have trailers on your lot for sale and you don't have all the sets of keys? First it was, the lady who holds the keys was out. Then it was other dealership that we had it sent in from didn't send them over. Um? The trailer was at this location, we didn't have it brought in, we came to it. We finally get through all the excuses and find the silver lining with the tech from the back that came to our rescue to take delivery of our trailer without the keys. But now we're back to frustration as weeks have come and gone, many phone calls have been made to be met with having to leave voicemails asking for calls that are not being returned or more excuses from the extremely rude lady who was out and was supposed to be sending us the keys. Not a very happy camper right now.

Bought a lemon!
July 17, 2023

Bought our dream camper last June from Camping World in Columbia,MO. Keystone Montana High Country. The shop has had our camper more than we have. 3 times back and one time over 3 months. Every time they had it nothing was ever fixed right. Started with AC which never blew hard enough to cool living area, broken closet coming apart, missing and hanging trim, inverter, bed base came apart, power cord only ran half of camper, screws all fell out when we opened the outside storage door. These should be easily fixed but when we went to
Pick it up it looked like they were fixed but they were only made to look like that. Always said nothing is wrong with AC but couldn't explain to us why it was always 15 degrees hotter in there than what the thermostat was set on. Inverter never worked so when we were taking a 6 hour trip we stopped by to have it looked at and they said it was no good and needed a new one. Of course this was 5 days out of warranty and then lied and said they had no complaints from us on that. Closet and trim were suppose to all be fixed with new stuff from warranty but came apart on our next trip. Talked to Mike Beasley manager and he informed me that we would have to purchase a new inverter ourselves that would cost us $1200. He got very hateful and disrespectful saying that I would have to call Keystone they weren't going to do anything about it. That we didn't put them together we only sell them! Called Keystone and they said Camping World service manager, Mikayla had not put any of this in her notes from these issues so they denied a new inverter. She informed me every time that she put all this stuff in her notes but when it came right down to it she had not or deleted them. Horrible customer service and a weasel of a manager. I have pictures to back up these issues. Never buy from Camping World in Columbia, MO. High pressure sales and they are only in it for the money and don't care about the customer.

Warning to Camping World customers
March 1, 2022

Camping World is an incompetent, understaffed money machine for Marcus Lemonis. I have been dealing with them for several years and have bought two travel trailers from them (embarrassing). My recent experience was to buy a new camper, which I signed for on Christmas eve, 2021. During the day of purchase, they kept us there for hours doing something in the back rooms without speaking to us for long periods or offering us any sort of refreshment. Then, on delivery day, it was the same thing --several mistakes and errors in delivery prep (for which they charged us over $600 in the sale), causing us to almost loose control of the trailer on the way home (improperly installed hitch). Upon storing the new camper, we found a staple in the spare tire --flat as a board.
On our shakedown camping trip, we had to stop using the shower due to a leak in the water lines under the pan, and we found that the struts for lifting the bed were nearly flat. Additionally, there was a tear in one of the bunkhouse couch covers and the backrest was missing. They put the couch items on a "we owe" list.
We brought it back for warranty work on Feb. 1st. It is still there, and we were told yesterday, March 1st, that they "would be ordering the struts soon" and that it would be about another month before they arrived! And we still as of this date have no word on when we will receive a new couch cover and seat back.
I have complained twice to the corporate office ("If you're not happy, I'm not happy" Marcus Lemonis) and have received no reply at all.
Lastly, the service department often doesn't answer their phone or call you back if you leave a message.
Fair warning! It will be a horrible experience if you deal with them!
All of my experience has been with the Calera, Alabama location.
