Customer Service
November 24, 2020

The Camping World is just the building all the people that work there are third party to Camping Would the RV sales are independent contractor to Camping World the Service people are not direct employees of Camping World
Each area with in the building are separate from businesses they are on there own and nobody works together even the computer don't talk to each other
With this attitude the buck is passed from each individual business to another the customer suffers from there work ethics of the people employed under Camping World roof not being held responsible
From now on I will shop other RV businesses before shopping Camping World

Stay Away!
August 23, 2022

We went to Camping World of Berkley in MA. Terrible customer service and lack of call backs or communication. The general manager has zero customer service skills and Jill the salesperson is misleading and deceptive. These people are crooks. I told my sales person I would put $500 to hold a unit. I was told this was refundable if we decided not to move forward. We needed time to discuss and since no one in the finance dept was there we would have to wait to find out the terms. They charged my card for $1000. I said no big deal since it was refundable. We waited for financing rates/terms. All they could tell me was a "very low" monthly rate. This low monthly rate just happened to be for 15 years. In the meantime they "prepped" the unit despite the fact that we didn't sign a finance agreement or do our walk through. We weren't happy with the deal and decided not to move forward. Because the unit had been "prepped" (again despite the fact we didn't have a sales agreement, financing etc) we were charged a "prep fee". Which just happens to be $950. The general manager has been dodging calls since and every time I call I'm assured I'll get a call back. We have yet to hear anything or get a refund. Stay away!

Do not buy from this company or you will be sorry. They lie about everything including telling you to finance because you get a better deal than cash... this is ILLEGAL. The reason they tell you to finance is because they get a hefty kick back from M&T Bank. Then before you can leave they hook you up with insurance which is double the price of Progressive again because of heir kick back. They shove an extended warranty down your throat with fear tactics because of their kick back. They go ahead and charge for membership into the Good Sam's Club because guess what... THEY OWN IT! Lastly when I picked up my camper they have some flunky go through the camper with you the only problem they leave critical items up to you to figure out. I will never understand how this company is the largest RV dealer out there because they put their customers last. To top it off their CEO Lucas Lemonis is worth 500 million dollars which begs the question why is he doing this. Further Mr. Lemonis is on record in social media as stating that "if you are a Trump supporter then do not visit his businesses." Wow you basically write off half of your customers because of your political persuasion.
Camping World is a public company, I wonder how CW shareholders feel about this $#*!.

I'm mad at myself for ever buying from CW! I should have known better. We bought a new Thor Aria in 2017. In January of 2019, The rear A/C quit. It was under manufacturer warranty so we took the coach back to the original CW that we bought it from. They replaced the unit and I thought (foolish me) WOW what great service. However, since they replaced it, we have had numerous water leaks inside that we discovered while on a trip far from home. When we got home, we took the coach to our local RV repair and asked them to please check the unit. They found that CW only installed the unit with 3 bolts instead of four leaving a gap that allowed water to run under it and into the ceiling. The roof is now decaying and is upward of $13,000 to fix. I contacted CW CEO, Marcus Lemonis and of course, they take no responsibility. Surprise! I have since found there are so many victims of CW unscrupulous ethics that there is a FB page for Victims of Marcus Lemonis and a website https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2020/11/11/*******/0/en/Victims-of-Camping-World-CEO-and-NBC-Star-Marcus-Lemonis-Join-Forces-on-New-Website.html.
Bottom line... stay away from CW. I wish we had listened when we were looking to buy. We are stuck now and have no choice but to fix this with no help from them. Our morals will not let us trade this coach in just to pass the problem on to the next unsuspecting customer. That would make us no better than CW and I will not ever be that person.

I was trading in my fifth wheel for a newer one but they had to do a inspection on my fifty wheel first, I was told that I had a crack weld on the frame and it would cost me $ 15,000.00 to repair so I got my insurance company involved and go to find out that was not the case, to make a long story short they did not know what they were talking about I glad I did not agree to that. On the new fifth wheel I brought I ask them to fix a few small items, so the day I picked up my newer camper they give me a walk through and during the walk through I see these things were not done that I requested and the camper was never cleaned inside, one of the shade were not in the right location so instead of fixing it they give me the run around go to find glue on with some kind of rubber that I will have to fix right when I get home, this was going on over five hours that day at the dealer. Bottom line I feel they don't care about their customer and their communication is not good at all. After getting the camper home I was flushing the system out and the toilet was leaking, they did come out and replaced the toilet, but it should of been caught during there preparation for me along with a missed sewer cap I replaced broken refrigerator light I replaced hot water heat shield not in the proper place, spare tire was at 45 psi and the main tires were at 95 psi how could that happen, the awning were never cleaned, they have a lot of opportunity for improvement.

Started out great
May 11, 2023

Our experience at Camping World started out great, we actually went in to purchase something small like a pop up because we were coming out of a tent, but we ended up purchasing a 2021 Coleman BH which we love. We got all types of warranties and everything with our purchase wich we thought were great until it was time to redeem those warranties. We took our travel trailer in to be serviced (45 point inspection) which was $409.50 just to check everything not to repair anything and another $364 to close a valve that they found open. All of this and they couldn't even give us a complimentary wash of our rv or silicone anything like our windows. But told us we had a pinhole in our roof which we needed to start a claim for with our insurance company so they can repair it and then once it's repaired our 12 year warranty is then void. Camping World is a joke and once our roof is repaired we will no longer be doing business with them, they are nothing but a racquet and taking advantage of people. We will find people outside of Camping World to take care of all our rv needs from here on out.

I have a 2022 Heartland Prowler 303BH 35ft excellent condition used 7 times $16k that is a joke! On a trade in for a 2024 Destination trailer $73k that's what Wood Village in Oregon offered me. They didn't tell me the taxes when asked, they just how I was paying for it. I didnt even look at it or put in a offer yet.just left me hanging via email. Excuse we got busy watching football the day after Turkey day. Mathew and Dj worthless don't listen. I know rv companies have $5k to 10k wiggle room. You tell me who treats customers with suck disrespect on a trade in when your going to buy two rvs. Who buy two rvs at one time. Think of all that $$ they throw away. For just being last folks. Don't shop at wood village it's burning garbage

I have good and bad at Jackson TN camping world. I live in my camper year round which makes it very hard to bring mine in to get fix. I had a major break down with the converter that took out all my electric. I thought maybe it was a storm but I guess it wasn't. Because it happened over a three day period I paid 6000 dollars for an extended warranty. I have not owned this at that time for 3 months. In the end they held my camper for an extra month and a half till I paid for it. I was in tears. The president of the company said give it back. Now I get it back we are going into winter I told them to check the electrical and other things. They didn't have the time for it I guess. I have the heater that is in the main room doesn't work. The house heater is shutting of. I am paranoid to call because I can't give up my game again but they charge you an arm and a leg to go mobile and I can't afford it. About to give up call a lawyer an get my money back for this 2021 artic wolf. Hell the company itself didn't even cover my converter. I am about done. Have a nice day. Kelly Foringer

Not happy
October 28, 2023

Been looking at a fifth wheel they have that we really like. I received a email saying it was on sale. Went in again and they quoted us a total different price than the email, we showed them the email and they dropped the price to what the email stated. Since we are trading in our trailer they were at least 4000.00 off what we needed to be in our trailer to trade which is okay but then they made it such a big deal to match the price that was emailed me…. Hummmm I didn't send myself the email and I don't set the prices. I feel it should have never been a hot item to act like they were doing such a great job coming down to the price in the email. Why do they feel like they can jab a person on a trade in? No one in their right mind wants to roll over a balance from one trailer to the next when my fifth wheel is newer than the one I was trying to buy. Maybe it's time to move on and go some place else. Oh FYI as we are sitting in the dealer ship we check the internet price which matched the email we received they raised the price back up about 3,000.00.

4 WEEKS to fix 3 small problems. While in their shop they destroyed my satelite system on my RV and said was in crushed condition upon arrival. They are liars and crooks! Their own service writer (no longer employed) had noted my system was in perfect condition upon arrival. DO NOT BUY, SHOP, OR LET THEM DO YOUR SERVICE.

Don't waste your time
February 8, 2023

Don't waste your time! The salesman and sales manager are liars and cheats.
We found a fantastic deal on a used camper! Inquired over the phone and were told it was in great condition and "corporate" just set a really good price because the old service manager took in too many campers and had left it for too long. We drove 2 hours only to be called 30 minutes from the dealership and told the camper wasn't there. They said it was at the local welding and tire shop getting new tires. We initially thought it was odd, because why would a camping store of this caliber not do their own tire work? When we told them we were close and asked if we could possibly go to the tire shop to check it out they said no. We drove back the next day to see the completed camper, only to find the tires had not been replaced and the trailer had flood damage on every wall and soft floors.
The sales manager lied directly to us and tried to sell our little family a damaged trailer. The general manager was made aware of the situation and didn't even bat an eye, before trying to upswell us on something else. After reading yelp reviews, this seems to be their common practice! Please save yourself and your family and go somewhere who actually uhas your best interest at heart, even if you're paying a little more.

Bought a brand new Fuel toyhauler with all the extended warranties, settled on a bumper pull because they did not have the 5th wheel we wanted. The salesman told us we had a year to trade it in and not lose very much value. Went in 8 months later and found the 5th wheel we wanted. They only wanted to give us half of what we purchased the trailer for. We filled out paperwork to purchase a new trailer, with a total cost of $105,000 and found out that they were asking the banks for $120,000 so we were denied credit. The salesman, finance dept never called us to keep us up to date on what the status was. We had to always call, or physically go in. They are a bunch of liars with no communication skills! The trailer we originally bought had a lot of warranty work that needed to be fixed. The shower was not lined up with the bottom so no seal was put on. They wouldnt warranty this because the warranty only covers sealant upto 90 days. We let the dealership know of EVERYTHING that needed to be fixed, but we couldnt get the trailer back in before that, so they gave us Heartlands phone number, and we had to do the leg work. Run, do not purchase from this dealership. I know i will never purchase ANYTHING from them.

Bait and Switch
June 25, 2019

Needing a new awning I looked around and found Camping World had what I wanted. It was a Dometic 8500 and a metal weather shield. On the phone I ordered it and was told that to get the special price I would have to join Good Sam. $29.00 was added to the order and I told my installers it was on the way. I was a little concerned that I didn't receive an email conformation but waited and several days later I received a call inquiring about my delivery address. Humm, we double checked every detail and now the had the address wrong. Or did they? This was when they opted to inform me that the weather shield was NOT included, Humm again. As you can imagine I was outraged, I demanded someone in management and I got a rude person named Larry. He told me it was not included and I informed him that my calls are recorded. I told him to review the company recordings where at least 3 people had confirmed the order included an awning AND a metal weather shield. A couple of days and I contacted him again and he admitted the sales people had told me the weather shield was included. He said "we made a mistake so we will ship the weather shield for only $150 more. Having me over a barrel I ok'd the order and requested to speak to someone in management. I was put in contact with Ellen Smith who said she would look into it and advise me of her decision. It has now been almost a month and I have heard nothing as far as a decision, just silence. I even requested to speak to her supervisor and have not heard from him/her.

Beware when doing business Camping World, read the reviews first.

We purchased a used RV from Camping World in Longmont Co in February 25 2022. The RV is a 2015. When we were in the process of picking it up, we went over the extended contract (were told it would cover anything we found wrong with the RV) and over the RV. We were told the roof is in good shape and if we found other things while using it to write them down. Now we are about 10,000 in needed repairs to the RV and no one wants to cover them. The roof needs to be resealed and Longmont won't pay for it, because they can't find any paper work if it was sealed before we left with the trailer. Which we were told that all used RV have the roofs sealed and wheel bearing done before the RV is sold. The floor needs to be replace because of the soft spots not due to water damage. These were noted in the walk thru with the RV and were told that the extended warranty will cover it. Nope will not. There are several other things that we were told the warranty will cover... like the heated beds, the back panel on the RV (it's a hybrid) etc. We are continually getting the run around from the repair place in Golden, CO. We are told one thing and the next time we are told something else. The lies and the total BS is unreal. The sales team is a shame. They just want the sale and could care less about anything else.

Mechanics did a wonderful job. I'll beg anyone who buys a camper or RV from this location. Please read all fine print before signing anything. When I was told it was a diagnostic to screw my latch on my door and I was charged another diagnostic fee just to hammer for nails and my ceiling panel. $200. I got gypped for something that I could do with them myself in 15 minutes but I chose not to to avoid warranty. I am highly pissed and I doubt I will come to this location ever again, I am pissed ladies at front desk do a horrible job explaining things so please please read all five print or bring someone who is knowledgeable of this with you. Once again, Mckenzie did a great job but service for dish was horrible and charged me for something. I told her I did but it's my fault because I should've read it will never ever happen again so I'm warning you so you won't make the same mistake especially with Melisa. I pacifically told her not to charge me for anything if she does call me including diagnostic. I admit for me being in a rush to meet a contractor at my house quickly signed the paper, but the short her to call me before I be charged for anything

Back tires leaking air,, Wanted new valve stems installed, They put valve stem extensions on, Tires went flat,, Had them service my air conditioner, blowing warm air, Charge me a hundred and sixty five dollars,, Is still blowing warm air,, Wanted full service on my generator and engine,, All fluids all filters all belts, They change the oil in my generator in my engine,, That was it, If they can't do the job complete they shouldn't be messing around,, Now what do I do bring it to a real mechanic's garage, And have them do the job. Correctly.
