I had a very positive experience with Cameras and Parts. I sent them my Canon PowerShot A360, which I had dropped, with a "lens error". They were unable to obtain the requisite part needed for repair but replaced my camera with a virtually identical PowerShot A360 in excellent working order at no additional cost. I don't think you could ask for better treatment than that! Let me add that I'm not a 'shill' and am a legitimate customer. From my experience, I would recommend Cameras and Parts withouth hesitation. It's unfortunate that they've been getting hostile reviews from adversaries because they came through for me! This is an unsolicited review.
I had a Canon repaired through them. They seemed to have done an excellent repair, I haven't any concerns at all. What I liked is they do the service on the camera along with the repair. Even more so, they give the camera a great cleaning. My camera is a Canon SD1100. I am very satisfied. Thank you
I receive this part but it was not so easy to install it because I have never done this before. I called them and they walked me through it by phone but I still did not get it to work. Later I try again and I realize that I break the small switch on the board and that's why it is not turning on now. I was able to bypass the switch and it worked. They were good but I wish they will explain that it is not easy to install these parts and they do not provide the instructions on how to install them. I am glad that I got it to work but next time I think I would have a shop repair it for me. I first thought that I had shorted out my camera but it was just the battery door switch. If they would explain that it is not easy to install or at least give instructions with the part I order, I would have them five stars. For this reason I will give four stars and hope they make this change in the future.
The service here was actually really good. They repaired our Canon SD990 that we dropped on the lens. My only comaibt would be that I would have liked them to pay for the shipping to them and also the shipping back. I can't see it costing much mire for them to email a shipping label which can be done. Seriously, how much more would it cost them to do that, I really don't think very much. Aside from that, they were perfect otherwise. Everything cost me $79 for the parts included, the labor included, they serviced and cleaned everything too. They did cover priority maul coming back to me but had they covered it going in to them too then I would have gave them a perfect five stars. They were still the cheapest of every ace I check and they did do a great job. They also cleaned the camera up very nicely too. I can recommend them for good repair work.
This website repaired my Canon Powershot A560 lense problem when everyone told me to throw the camera away. The camera was a special gift and I wanted to have it fixed. They have excellent service, knowledgeable and very helpful. Would highly recommend.
I ordered a battery door part for my canon. I put my old address for shipping and it was my mistake. They sent the part out within hours so when I tried to correct my adders I couldn't because they had already shipped the part. So I had to drive 40 minutes to get it from my old apartment where they sent it. It wasn't really expensive so I figured they could have just shipped an extra part to my new address. Yes it was my fault but they should wait a day or two before shipping the item in case the buyer made a mistake and has to make a correction on their order. I picked up the part and it installed for my camera and it is working fine. Okay so it us fine thank you
I sent these people my PowerShot SD850 IS with a lens error problem. I found their service to be outstanding. I called shortly after I mailed the camera to ask for an update and my call was returned repeatedly until we made contact. They described my problem and the steps they were taking to resolve it. My camera was repaired and back in my hands inside two weeks. I don't know what else I could have asked for. I hope that I don't need service again but if I do, I will definelty return to Cameras and Parts. I am very grateful for their saving my camera from the junk heap!
I broke my LCD screen on my camera. Was at a wedding and my camera got knocked out of my hand. It came pretty quick and it was pretty simple to installl. My husband had it fixed and working in less than 30 minutes. The screws were all pretty tiny but he managed to get it all back together. We are very happy that we were able to replace the screen instead of having to buy a whole new camera.
Basically I went to them for a part. My battery door had broken on my sd750. I came and was shipped in a big priority box. Why they needed such a big box for a tiny little parts puzzled me. But I got it then didn't know how to put it in because the part doesn't have instructions and the battery door didn't just clip on. They helped me by phone. The girl was nice and I'm good now that it's on. Maybe they should write out some instructions though. I'm a handy person and I couldn't figure it out by myself.
I work at a college and one of my students had recommended Cameras And Parts to us. So we used them to repair two cameras now (one was a G9 that wouldn't power up) and the other was a G12 (it wouldn't show any picture coming in from the lens). They fixed 'em both. $89 each and we got them back fast. Our students tend to get the cameras full of dust and dirt, Cameras And Parts really does a professional cleaning with the repairs. We are completely happy with their service and we'll continue to use Cameras And Parts as the need for a repair comes up. Use them with confidence.
I was using my Canon Powershot SD950 camera when it showed a lens error restart camera error message completely out of nowhere. At that point the lens was stuck on the camera. I was recommended to CamerasAndParts and they did a Superb Job. From start to finish, it was a great service they provided. Best of all, the work they do is the best part, they are wizards at servicing these Canon Powershot models. A special thank you to Belinda for keeping me up to date, everything was great here and I recommend Cameras And Parts with confidence.
I recently sent my G12 in for service with Camerasandparts, and called to get some details worked out. The person I spoke with was very helpful and answered all my questions. He told me exactly how to send it and I did. He also said it wasn't necessary to send it "insured" as they cover the camera up to $600, which is a nice touch. The only possible wrinkle is while the camera was gone, I got an email from them explaining there was a potential other problem. I called and spoke to them and they explained that there was an issue with my flash. They said if I never use the flash, to not worry about it, but if I do, I "may" want to consider getting a part changed to the tune of $60 more. They said without the repair, the flash would eventually burn itself out. I authorized the repairs because if it failed, I'd have to send it back in. Was it legit, or a way to get more money? Who knows? I'm thinking it "probably" was legit because otherwise the guy wouldn't have told me not to worry about it if I never use the flash, as some people don't. Anyway, what I do know is they have fast, friendly service and I got my camera back in no time and it's working good as new.
Great, Great, Great! My husband just had my Canon G12 serviced with them. They were wonderful and I would recommend them to everyone needing to get their camera fixed. It was just a great experience we had with them. They were quick and helped get it back to us in time for our trip too. We are very pleased and will use them again if we ever need to.
I had loned my Canon S3IS to my father and he had dropped the camera when he was using it. We took it to a local store who recommended Cameras and Parts to get it fixed through. We got it back last night from repair and their repair work is right on the ball. It was cleaned so good and we're finding it to work as good as new again after the repair they did. Their service was professional and took care of the lens problem. Thank you
I just used this place to repair my SX20 IS. They are the best for repairing these cameras. Service was fantastic and the price was unbeatable no matter how many places I checked with. I am totally happy and I would recommend Cameras And Parts with 5 Stars for Service, Cost and a repair done perfectly!
During the recent trip our 4-year old Canon PowerShot G12 stopped working. A local camera store said this is an issue with a stuck shutter, very common for G12, and they would have to send it to Canon for $250 to be repaired.
Facing such cost, I have spent lots of time online, looking for advice, suggestions, and ideas on how to fix it. I had an option either to purchase a new G16 for $400, a two-year old model, with quite similar features as G12, or to take a chance and mail my G12 to Cameras and Parts for an $89 repair.
There are many reviews about C&P online, some of them not favorable, so I have decided to contact C&P and talked to the owner, Ryan, about my concerns. Ryan explained the repair process, timeframe, communication, and the 3-month warranty his company provides on the camera (not only on the repair itself, but on the camera as a whole).
Within few days of shipping the G12 to C&P I got a call back to confirm the extent of the repair and to pay for the service. My repaired camera arrived back to me very quickly, only 8 days from the day I shipped it to the day it arrived. Knocking on the wood, the camera has been working flawlessly since then.
Each person is responsible for making their own decision whether or not to use C&P. All I can say is that I am very happy with the service and the cost of the repair. I have not experienced any hiccups that some people talk about; the whole process was smooth and efficient and I would feel comfortable to send them my camera again.
Hi my name is Yen. My camera get drop and is broken on my lens. I am using cameras and parts and they fix my camera. Is working good and I am happy for them. My camera is powershot sx100 canon camera and is the problem for lens error. They fix it and is working good.
I used this website to order specific repair part formy canon. The only one concern that I had was they're shipping and handling was a lot to ship internationally. Since I knew this upfront I'm not going to deduct any stars from my review. I found out that no matter how much you order the shipping / handling is the same flat rate on the order. So since I just ordered one part it wasn't to my advantage. The part did come rather quick and the shop I gave it to installed it on the same day. Thecamera is working again and I'm going to be careful not to drop it again in the future.
I had a camera repaired through them. It just got back and it's working flawlessly. They provided great service so I'm quite happy. I recommend them highly for repairs.
You all repaired my Canon G9 for no power. You're service was awesome. Repaired in 2 days. A big thanks!
Answer: Hi Laurie. We appreciate the communication. Please know, we have been trying to email you, as most recent as of today. Your emails come back that they are being blocked by RMail which seems to be some sort of a spam blocker you utilize on your email. We've tried calling you at the 907 area code that you provided which shows to be Alaska. The phone however seems to ring as an international number and nobody answers. The unit was shipped in from Belize so we assume that is where your Alaska area code is forwarding to. You provided a return address in Houston for the unit. We did receive the unit along with the check which was enclosed with the camera. We have not yet deposited the check. The unit requires a part which is special order. Once the part arrives for your camera, it was to be completed and looked after for you. It seems you have some concerns as you are not receiving a response. Please know, we feel we have made more than a reasonable effort to contact you by email and phone to no avail. With you being out of the country as it seems (based on the way the Alaska number ringing as international and the unit being sent from Belize where we can't seem to reach you), not to mention it seems you have this Spam Blocker on your email as we get an auto response that our emails are being blocked, perhaps it is best to send the unit back unrepaired. In doing so, we of course will not deposit your payment (your check would be returned with the camera) and we'll gladly look after the Return Priority Shipping / Handling to the Houston address as you provided, no problem there at all. If you'd like to email us, perhaps you have an alternate email address you can communicate with us through or maybe there's a way to unblock our emails through this RMail Spam Blocker you are using. If we don't hear back, rest assured we'll send the unit back unrepaired to the Houston address as provided. Your check will be returned with the unit as nothing would be owed for any Service / Repair at that point. Again, we'll gladly look after the Return Priority Shipping / Handling to Houston for you as well. Please either unblock our emails from going through or perhaps you can set up a free email account online and email us through there. As it is a holiday weekend we're going into here in the US, we kindly ask that you please allow some extra time for a response. We'll watch for an email response from you so we can help... thanks again!
Answer: It's easy to tell that most of these comments about C&P are shills from C&P. Most people don't take the time to praise them... The BBB gives them an F rating. The Texas Attorney General has been involved... https://www.facebook.com/camerasandparts/?fref=ts
