My Looker sweater purchase after wearing several times starting pilling. When I contacted CS after 30 days they stated they take no returns. I stated I would be happy w/exchange. It took several calls emails-they do not care about customers or customer retention. Horrible return/exchange policy especially for the cost of their products.
Brochu Walker sells a cashmere sweater that lasts approximately 4 hours. After that it starts pilling, snagging and falling apart. That's approximately $100/hour before you will be taking it to the cleaners to see if they can salvage this mess. Brochu Walker are very smart - they won't guarantee their sweaters. Nor do they take returns or offer any money back! Brilliant! At least they won't have to worry about repeat customers! In the picture you can see terrible pilling on the half of the sweater I haven't shaved. This is after 4 hours of wearing! Ridiculous.
Terribly disappointed with the quality of these sweaters. Had seen them advertised and loved the easy layered look so I invested in 3 sweaters. I've learned my lesson the hard way. Pilling after a 1/2 day and won't wear these ever again. Very, very sad
I bought three 'Looker' cashmere sweaters, that have a white georgette blouse attached underneath. I sent to two different high end dry cleaners and they all came back with the white georgette a dull gray (the black from the sweater had run into the blouse bit that attaches). I figured since I paid a lot for these sweaters that the company would help me remedy the problem. They are blaming it on the dry cleaners and will do nothing to remedy the problem. And -- you guessed it -- the dry cleaners are blaming it on the dye used on the sweaters. So I'm the one who loses out here. Since this ruining of the white blouse attached to the looker sweater happened with two separate dry cleaners (both high end, one organic, one not organic), I am inclined to believe my dry cleaners. A very disappointing company who do not stand behind their product. Three sweaters now in the 'for working around the house' bin.
I purchased 5 cashmere and cashmere blend sweaters and socks over the holidays for myself, and for my mom and sisters as gifts. I've been wanting to invest in a cashmere sweater for myself and finally pulled the trigger. I picked out a crewneck 100% cashmere dark charcoal pullover. I figure it won't go out of style and I can always wear since it's good quality. You get what you pay for. It's been very cold in California and we're not used to bundling up. But cashmere is a big help. I just wish there were more colors and sizes offered. I feel some of the size large is an ok fit but in other styles size xl would be better. And I'm not crazy about vintage black. I'd rather have a pure black. There are some dresses I like but they look faded because they're lighter black. I don't want to pay that much for something that looks faded.
I should have read reviews before buying. My sweater looked beautiful when it arrived and I couldn't wait to wear it. Wore it out to dinner with friends. I literally just sat for 2.5 hours and the sweater stretched out to 2 sizes bigger. Terrible. Never has this happened to me before.
This place charges premium prices but has subpar customer service.
My two sweaters started sagging immediately but you can't return if you've worn them.
One of my sweaters started balling up after only a few hours of use. Again, you can't return them.
So I'm out nearly $1000 for a subpar product and terrible customer service.
I recently ordered two dresses from Brochu Walker. I went to return one dress that did not fit and was told I had delayed too long to return the dress even though I started the return four days after receiving the dresses. I had to call customer service to bypass the short time period for returns. Then they logged the wrong dress for my return, providing me reimbursement for the cheaper dress even though I returned a dress that cost more. When I complained, they told me I was credited the correct amount for the cheaper dress. I again emailed saying I had actually returned the more expensive dress. They never responded to my second email. The clothes are beautiful. The poor quality customer service almost makes ordering not worth it. By far the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I bought the Westport Pull-on Pant. The pants fit well and cost $338.00. However, the material is so thin it is like wearing a Kleenex and after a few hours of wear they began to pill. (I see here, returning them as poor quality and poor value is not an option.) I decided to review the product so others would at least know what they were getting before buying but I see Brochu Walker does not have a rating/feedback system. There is undoubtedly a reason for that. I decided to do a general search for Brochu Walker company ratings and I found these reviews. Now I understand. Great style, exorbitant prices, extremely poor quality and poorly run business. It is really too bad. I was hoping I had found a new place to buy clothes.
It looks like they have an Instagram https://www.instagram.com/brochuwalker/
Maybe that would be a way for customers to get help.
I returned an unworn item the same day it was received and was told the item had a stain so the return was rejected. The stain they claimed I left, was a piece of lint that I wiped off with a dry tissue. The company refuses to respond to my inquiry and then returned the item again saying it had been washed. They have not responded to emails and phone calls. Responding to your customers is basic customer service!
I will never buy another item from this company!
I bought a $300 dress, tried on and returned same day. They sent it back saying I had used it. Total fraud. This has never happened to me before. Total fraud.
I rented a Brochu Walker dress from Rent the Runway and really liked it so I bought a dress and belt from them in February. The dress was almost $300; the belt was also expensive. The belt was nothing special but I loved the dress and wore it a few times. On April 1, I was wearing it and reached for something. I heard ripping sounds on one side and then, a little later, on the other side, and saw that the fabric had shredded under the arms on both sides - not the seams but the actual fabric. It is a loose dress and there was no strain placed on the fabric. I immediately reached out to their customer care and asked for a replacement dress but received no response. I followed up a couple of days later and was told that "any damaged items must be reported within 48 hours of receiving your order. Brochu Walker is not responsible for wear and tear and any changes that occur to an item." I asked to speak to someone about this situation and got no response. This is absolutely shocking to me - the $300 dress lasted for 5 weeks. The company should be embarrassed by their product and their failure to address quality issues. Their stuff seems lovely and their designs are nice but avoid this company at all costs.
I ordered a group of items from Brochu Walker. I kept a couple of items and returned the rest in a timely fashion. I emailed customer service to start an exchange for a dress, as i wanted to have it in a different size. I received an email from their "customer care" stating they had received my return and were processing the refund to my credit card. 2 weeks later - i still had not received the refund, nor the exchange and i got an email saying that 2 of the items i had returned, (pictures below) were not in the same condition they were sent to me in and they were therefore not eligible for a refund and they were returning them to me. In their email refusing to refund, they sent me photos of the items i had returned with white deodorant on them (i do not even wear white deodorant.) These 2 items sat in their possession for two weeks!
I had in fact tried on all of the items in my home - but had NOT worn any of them - all tags still in tact. I wrote an email to customer service and then called 3 times and requested to speak with a manager - they would not return my call.
I do almost all of my shopping online - I have NEVER had an experience like this…. Now I'm reading reviews of this company and seeing that they have pulled this same stunt with others!
I'm appalled by their accusation and would never buy items from them again. I am protesting the charges on my American Express.
Bad Experience!
You can see below photos of the 2 items i sent back and they are pristine! Along with the printed note they sent when they returned the items to me.
I am re returning these 2 items to them.
Horrible company! Will not accept returns with no explanation just stating it doesn't fit return policy! Buyer beware- run!
