Brash Games (brashgames.co.uk) is an online video game review website which attracts writers to review games on their website with the promise of helping them get exposure within the industry. Naturally these writing positions are offered without any compensation, though they do provide some free review keys to the writers as a way for them to get the product that they are going to review.

A number of different reviewers on their website had opted to leave the platform when it became apparent that the owner of the website wasn't actually paying any attention to the reviews nor were they doing much to actually push or reward their reviewers for the work they were producing. When the reviewers left the platform, the owner of the website overwrote the credits of their work with their own, essentially taking away all of that exposure they were claiming to offer to their reviewers.

There is a lot of evidence online in major news website and in social media showing that the website also changes the review scores and forces their reviewers to review games a certain way. Whether this is due to monetary exchanges between the games publishers and the website remains to be seen, but it is definitely an unethical decision on their end used to censor their own reviewers. This has also led to quite a few reviewers leaving the platform. This company has ties to online gambling websites. Jim Sterling, a prominent YouTuber, has posted an exposure piece about their connection to gambling websites and the fact that many of these websites offer monetary compensation for links back to their gambling websites.

I would avoid Brash Games at all costs from both the perspective of a reader wanting to learn more about a game and from the perspective of those that want to get exposure as a writer or a reviewer. You're not going to find anything of value here.
