I purchased a package to Punta Canta. The operator asked all kinds of questions about my income as if I was in an interview… it started thinking it was a scam. It was so many stipulations in order to go on the trip. I was required to sit in an informational session Upon arrival on the day they told us to go, I paid for 4 days but required to stay 6 for a promotion… I'm said the hell with this just cancel it! Never again

I had a issue with an insurance reimbursement and received a call from the General Manager to fix the issue and I was very surprised and pleased with her urgency to help me with my issue.

This company is not to be trusted. They pulled a bait and switch — cancelling my booking and demanding I pay hundreds more for an inferior resort. When I refused they claimed I forfeit my package. Unreal. Scam artist operation here — beware.

I am going through a divorce and they said that I have to bring my husband. Then they said I can change to my sister but since she does not make over $100k they would not transfer it to her. I was told the reason is because the resort wants you to a condo through them. He did however say he would process a refund. Just beware...

Have used BOOK VIP Before and had no problems. Everyone is very professional and easy to work with. Prices are very good and resorts care great.

The website is a scam. The advertising on their website is Fake information! Booked a resort in Cabo when I called bookvip to confirm the dates they asked for $600 more. Then when I arrived to check in I was told we were not qualified for the package. They are banking on the fact that travelers will book the resort for cheaper and when you arrive you aren't qualified so you have no choice but to pay double what the package they offered you is. We paid over 2000 more than the package we were promised. When we tried to get a refund they said nothing they coukd do. Be aware. What they advertise on their website is false advertising!

I got all inclusive pachage with them. It was cancelled with them three weeks before my trip which was very inconvinent. They didnt return my money but gave me credit. So I had to use it in their term.

They are scammers. What they advertise on their website is FALSE! Booked a hotel in Cancun. When we called bookvip to confirm the dates they asked for $400 more. They are banking on the fact that travelers will book the flight before confirming hotel reservation. At that point they can ask for more money because traveler has already booked the flights and will likely pay more. Be aware. What they advertise on their website is deceitful

We booked our trip with a down payment, then we called a number listed to see if our dates to travel was available. On this call we were informed that there are taxes that must be made, which took our $799 trip up to $938.83. Before the call ended we were told that there is a $29.95 resort fee that will be collected at the Resort for tips etc, however a few weeks before our travel we were sent an email to say that it had been taken from the card on file. At the resort I asked them if they had received the resort fees and was informed that they don't charge a resort fee, nor does Mexico charge taxes. When I return home, I called to see why they charge resort fees for tips, when they don't pass it on to the Resort. They explain that the resort fees are listed in the fine small print, so make sure you read everything. The taxes and fee probably goes to them, but they don't want to tell us that they are really their charges. I don't like this deception, I understand if they charge a fee, but let us know up front it is a fee and not some bogus resort fees and taxes that they are using for their profit. My trip was good. There is a lot of pressure at the 2 hr. Plus presentation, but I already knew about that. I kept all my email and stuff to prove any of this.

Don't book through these crooks, I paid for insurance and canceled my trip because they don't tell you you have to sit and listen to a presentation for 190 minutes, also your not allowed to take the same trip with friends or other family members, they told me my refund would be returned in 3-5 days, still waiting. It's been 2 1/2 weeks and nothing but excuses.

They are in cohoots with the Better Business Bureau to appear as if they have an honestly good raiting. I would not be surprised if BookVIP execs were bribing BBB execs with free trips and whatnot just to keep the appearance of a good rating. How do you have 309 complaints in the first place and have an honest rating of B+. The BBB published my complaint on BookVIP not refunding me my money and then HAD THE NERVE to rescind my published complaint with a BS lie stating that my review did not have sufficient details. I included NameS, DateS, AND SCREENSHOTS of what I was charged, who I spoke to, and when I spoke to the. BookVIP never responded to my complaint and therefore the BBB deleted my complaint they initially published. Why would anyone do that if they weren't being bribed with free trips/resort stays from a timeshare company? Taking my payment for a trip I did not take and refusing to refund my money is fraud at it's finest.

I signed up for the Dominican Republic package for myself & girlfriend. When it came time to book the actual date, they informed me that because we aren't married, we can't do this one... but oh we can switch you to Cancun, for an upcharge of $82. Now I have to vacation w/kids at a destination I didn't choose. Not my choice, but went ahead... After I thought about it for a week, and all their questions about my income (cause they are going to try to strong arm you into a long term vacation deal) decided to cancel, afterall it says "free cancellation" everywhere. Well that doesn't mean refund. Just means they'll change your trip. So no refund on this trip I don't really want. It was a total bait and switch but it's my fault I didn't read the fine print whereas they should have determined I wasn't married prior to letting me sign up. Most of their "help" are foreign (as compared w/USA) and you can't understand WTF they are saying... in frustration I just hung up. Guess I'm eating $800 today. These people suck and are misleading. Don't do it!

BookVIP immediately charged our credit card but, we purchased through Unsold dot com website. Without any notice, our 3 reservations were cancelled and no refund was given. We only found out because we called the hotel directly to confirm before our arrival. The hotel said the reservation was cancelled by our "travel agent" and there was nothing they could do. We then contacted BookVIP, since they charged our card, and the operator essentially stated we were out of luck (and money) because Unsold is no longer in business. Charges are being disputed with or credit card company as I type.

This is a SCAM! Their affiliated company, unsold.com, has canceled everyone's prepaid reservations WITHOUT offering refunds. Unsold.com has been "down for maintenance" for over a week. Nobody can get in touch with customer service. I personally have sent over 20 emails, called over 50 times leaving as many voicemails. Don't book through this company, especially if your vacation is not for another month or two. I promise it will be canceled and you will NOT receive a refund.

I booked my vacation through BookVIP. It was a easy process to book the vacation. I had a time of my life enjoying this vacation

I was required to call bookvip customer service after I input all information, including credit card, their representative asked me a lot of strange questions like job, annual income, my age, if I would visited family... etc, not regarding to my tour at all. Finally, he told me I wasn't able to book that Westgate hotel in Orlando because I am a green card, not a citizen! So weird website! It's my first time but my last time to bookvip.com. Then I had to freeze my credit card after I hang up the call.

I submitted an activation code which did not work. I followed their procedures if the code did not work. Those procedures did not work. I submitted 3 online requests with no response. I submitted an email to them which was returned to me as a non-working email. I am beyond frustrated.

I booked my reservation for Virginia beach for the first time via BookVIP, upon reserving the booking dates I called customer care with my reservation ID to confirm the booking. They asked me questions related to their policy standard, a few of which were not relevant to booking like - how much you earn yearly, still I gave them this info. They confirm the hotel and said your booking dates are available and congratulations and your booking is almost confirmed, we have a few more questions to ask, When they asked me are you US citizen or not, I said I am NOT, they said all BookVIP deals are only for US citizen and not for aliens and this hotel only share deals for the US Citizen. What is this nonsense, this is racism based on the country you belong to. I am on Work Visa for here past 13yrs, paying taxes like any US citizen. I feel so bad that in today's world they are still living 100yrs old history of racism.
TO BookVIP team - You should not associate with any hotels that discriminate with race or origin for bookings. THIS SHOULD BE the HIGHEST priority in your policy.
