I input all the information of the books that I wanted to sell and accepted the amounts given. One of the books was quoted at 89 dollars and when it was received they adjusted it to 1.74 because it was a spiral book that goes in a binder not a hard copy. The book was originally 198 dollars when I bought it. It was in a binder not even used but books run adjusted the original quote to an unbelievable amount that I denied. Once I did that in order for me to get the book back I had to pay 8.99 to ship the book back. And it certainly didn't come back in the condition it was send. Beware of what you send and be prepared to have an adjustment made to your order if it's not to their liking.

I never received part of my order and want to return part that I did get but no one answers the customer service phone number and they take 2-3 weeks to respond to an email.

I will begin with the whole experience. First order (*******) was made 4Aug; classes were set to start on the 21st of Aug. On the 18th of Aug I was informed that my class had been canceled. I selected another class in a panic and ordered that book (*******) on 20Aug. By the 21st, I had dropped the class that I had selected in a rush and switched to 2 other classes. In the meantime, I had already sent back ******* to address provided and that location had received the return while I was receiving the return address for the second (*******). I received the refund for order ******* before *******. I did reach out to Booksrun and I was told that they saw the books had been received and that it would take a week. I had no idea it would take 2 1/2 weeks. But in the end. All the refunds have been made.
I have no other issues with Booksrun and will continue to use them.

I have found other reviews of this company with the exact same issues as mine. They claim that the authenticity of books cannot be verified…then they REFUSE to return the book or want to charge you for the return of your book! My book was purchased directly from the university book store AND NEVER EVEN OPENED. The plastic had not been removed from the book. I've also seen where they are promising one amount and then they deduct for various reasons (book was highlighted, written in, etc). Also, BooksRun does not have a phone number which allows you to leave a message or ever speak with a human. No one has responded to my emails either. Save your time and money. These people are fraudulent. I wish I had read all of the reviews instead of just looking at the ratings.

I purchased a book that required a connect access code for the class with no prior knowledge of this necessity. When I reached out, I was told that the seller didn't include that there would be an access code, so I was basically out of luck. While I can wrap my head around BooksRun's reasoning, I didn't know to look for this code so it doesn't seem fair that an already exorbitantly expensive (frankly inflated) product should come with a hidden cost that I'm forced to eat in this manner. As a student, I'm not exactly cash strapped. Purchasing a book once requires budget navigation and this situation has put me in the position of having to purchase a book twice with very little apparent sympathy from BooksRun. The two star review is an act of generosity.

Never received my order. Wrote so many emails but no response. Its hard to reach CSR and when I talk to her she said money will be refuned but never got refund so finally have to file a dispute. They are cheater and fraud company so never trust this site.
