Ordered some Loungefly Backpacks from them on a PREORDER, all other people that have ordered their same Backpacks from elsewhere gave gotten theirs weeks ago. Shady company obviously they sell items they are not getting. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
Most inept bunch. They cannot sell outside the US.
Despite this you can sign up to their spam. They spam me everyday but
I cannot even purchase anything. Useless and lazy. I sent at least 15
Emails over past free days and no one has responded to any of them.
The ineptperson assisting me initially said they need the address to
Ship ebooks... Now, really. Are you so dense that you do not know the
Difference between a physical product and a digital one? Why are they
Spamming Non-US citizens if they are not legally allowed to sell to us?
Why must I waste my time setting up an account if I cannot order? Why
Must I be prepared to spend $400+ but you cannot even sell to me>
Utter waste of time.
Inept and lazy staff. Dishonest advertising and spam.
Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.
Preferred solution: Stop lying to the world and wasting people's
Time. How can you sell ebooks but can't sell them outside US. Why can
You spam me EVERY SINGLE DAY but I am not allowed to even buy ebooks.
YOU DO NOT POST EBOOKS. State on your website that non-US not welcome.
I didn't like:
Service,
Poor shipping
Procecures,
Shipping - lack thereof - and customer service.
Paid for the membership to get the wifi but it's still terrible. Expected better. The book selection isn't bad though. Could use in-store audiobooks
I ordered a book in October from Books-A-Million that appeared to be in stock. There was a note on the book's webpage that said something like "Ready to ship by September 23" (not sure if that was the exact verbiage or date, but you get the gist :)) I placed my order, and their system allowed it. A day later, I got an automated email that said that the book was in pre-order status. Which sounded odd, if it's ready to ship already. I emailed customer service, and they told me it's backordered. So what was the status - in stock, pre-order, or backordered? Because the item (a signed version of a bestselling book) was sold out on almost every other online site I checked, I found this all suspicious. I also saw that a few days after I placed my order, the status of the book on their website became "Unavailable". I emailed customer service at least twice asking directly "Is the book in stock and am I guaranteed a copy since I ordered it before it became unavailable?" All I got was runaround answers like "that pending charge on your credit card should drop off, we only charge when the item ships". Okay, will it ship? No direct answer. Thank goodness I read between the lines and ordered the book from Amazon while I was still waiting for a direct answer from Books-A-Million. I received the book from Amazon in the mail within a week, and is the signed version I wanted. Book chains should be careful, because they are being replaced by giants like Amazon (who I hate by the way - but resorted to using them since Books-A-Million was giving me the runaround). Customer service is what sets stores apart and makes them last. Will not be buying from this store again. All they had to say was "I'm sorry that our system allowed you to purchase an unavailable book. We updated our system to reflect its current status." and then this bad review would not have been necessary.
I had 2 orders. I paid $12.99 for 2-3 day shipment for my mom, she got her books immed, but i didn't. I had reg del, and no books.
They shipped it and the books were amazing I love the options and very satisfied with the stuff I got I would recommend
I rarely write review, but was SO BAD that I could not imagine.
AVOID them like a PLAGUE!
Because of their IMPERTINENCE and IMPUDENCE.
I registered there, ordered something as well as their "Millionaire's Club" services, because they were pushing it really hard and also because I was getting free shipping with it.And after payment I got this email:
"Status: This item is no longer available and has been cancelled. Cancelled items are no longer available. Unfortunately these item(s) have been cancelled from your order in our system."
So, they are selling/offering something that they actually don't have, hm... I thought.
OK, so I went for refund ofcourse. And then... troubles start.
At first, they were just ignoring my emails.
I could not believe.
Then, after a while (I'm looking at the emails now, it's been 19 days! Of them not responding), I wrote them "Do you want me to ask for my money back via Paypal or what?".
Only AFTER THAT (3 weeks later!) they refunded me for cancelled items, but they were OPENLY REFUSING to give me back for their "Millionaire club" service. I told them I wasn't being using it, nor I plan to use it, it's just something that I don't need. I was dealing with Jena Richardson from their support and she was showing no interest to assist me on that matter.
Then I requested refund via Payapal - they were just simply ignoring it!
I never met company like that before!
Finally, I had to open dispute on Paypal, to resolve all that.
It took me some while and some nerves, but finally Paypal sided with me and AGAINST THE B. A.M.'s WILL refunded me.
It was not about the money, but about their INSOLENCE!
If such big company can't afford themselves to refund normal user for 25 bucks (oh boy, what a big pile of money!) for service one just doesn't need - that is just showing how GREEDY they are!
Really, trash of all trashes!
Cancelled my naruto sage of six paths pop for no reason few months later after I pre ordered it when the funko fair went live.
Answer: SPend your dollars elsewhere, most likely send you something else and make you jump through hoops to get the right thing
