For years it's been a tradition to travel 2 hours to shop in person once or twice a year with my daughters - the old train station just makes me a happy browser. I ordered about 45 books from Book Outlet a couple weeks ago and paid only $150, averaging about $3.50 per book (brand new). Initially, I was skeptical about ordering because I saw so many negative reviews, but was super pleased with my order! Although my order took about 15 days (ordered April 20, received order on May 5), it was worth the wait. All my books were in PERFECT condition and I got exactly what I ordered.
I recommend buying from here for cheap prices and quality books in good condition. All my books were labeled "Bargain Book Copy," meaning that the original book store had excess copies and needed to get rid of their brand new books. 100% recommend buying from here. As a classroom teacher, I will be buying more for my diverse classroom library :)
Every Parent and educator needs to know this website. Great book selection for every age. Books came in great, looks-new condition. We only waited a little more than a week and for Free Shipping, that's pretty fast. My toddler loves her books and we're very happy with our purchase.
I've been using Book Outlet for nearly 2 years now and I absolutely love it. You can find recently published titles for up to 90% off. The selection is amazing and always changing. The books are always in new or near new condition. If there are any ever issues, they are quick to fix it. I can not recommend them enough.
I am obsessed with your website and have never received anything that is even slightly damaged and everything is always incredible quality. My only thing is I wish more new stock was available because I have a lot of items on my wish list that I've never come back in availability. The rest of the deals makes it worth it though. About 95% of my bookshelves are purchases from your website.
I have been having a somewhat rough couple months and needed to go on a book shopping spree. Book outlet was fantastic! Great Prices, great selection, easy to use site. Order was placed on Nov/16 and it has not shipped since then. Today is Dec/5. Opened a ticket with customer service reply me said order lost they can ship what ever in stock. One week past, I see nothing. Send email to cs and never got their reply also my ticket was closed left the problem still open. Very very bad experience.
I have placed over 6 orders on book outlet. Some orders come perfect, others not so much. My recent larger order came with ripped covers, black finger prints all over the covers and pages. Wish a little more care was put into packaging and if they were ripped upon packaging, they shouldn't be sent in that condition.

The books took MUCH longer to arrive than I expected. I placed an order on September 29 and did not receive it until October 11.
Two of the books I ordered were in perfect condition. The third, less so. The cover was visibly dirty and upon opening the front cover, there were pages cracked away from the spine. If I'd seen this book in a retail store, I would have looked for another copy. It is functional and not unreadable, but probably not worth returning.
Not sure what's going on? I spent 170$ on books from here and shipping took forever for a week it went back and forth from different places in florida until a few days ago said it couldn't be delivered. Have called "customer service number" the first time said they couldn't take calls because their employees were in training? Second time I was "next In que line" but still said sorry they couldn't get to me try again later and hung up on me. If I was next in line why couldn't I just wait? I have send a request for help on email still haven't heard back. This is very disappointing.
I ordered 2 books at a total cost of $28.39 and received an email advising one of the books cannot be shipped. I tried to cancel the order online, but that is not possible. I called the book outlet and said I should have been notified BEFORE the order was sent that not all the books were available because I didn't want to pay $21.05 for one book. I was told they could not help me, and could not put me through to anyone who could. In future, I will order 3-4 books so if one isn't available, it is still worth the savings ordering from the book outlet. And ask - why not inform customers of short orders so they have the opportunity to cancel? And not end up paying over $20.00 for one book.
I have yet to receive a confirmation email of shipment as stated with my order. Online it shows "shipped" but no date, tracking number, etc. Additionally, trying to submit a ticket for help results in an error. So who knows if I'll ever actually receive the item and if not, thus far, I've been unable to reach anyone.
This company sends out badly damaged books--does not refund or replace these damaged books--buy at your own risk! They take NO responsibility for the books they send that are damaged. The first photo is the dust jacket torn away on a book costing over $30.00... second was one of several damaged from being shipped in cheap boxes. The third photo is on another high end book...
As we had discussed via email, books purchased were from our Scratch and Dent section - books within this section: "are new books but may have dents, scratches, torn or missing dust jackets etc. They will be structurally sound and guaranteed great for reading. When I found out about Book Outlet I was excited. As someone who reads a lot and buys too many books, I was happy to find a site selling new books for used prices. I purchased $100 worth of books over 2 orders. It was too good to be true. 5 books came in damaged. Covers bent in half, covers almost ripped off, many pages bent. Book Outlet's return policy states that books can be returned if they are unreadable. So, you pay pay $8-$10 for badly damaged book, but you must keep it if still readable. Wasted $50.

The company shipped me a book with what looks to be nail polish all over it. Obvious damage and they shipped it anyway. Pages stuck together and greenish paint all over. Outside of 5 days so they won't refund. This is absolutely ridiculous bc this book should never have been boxed. Very poor service!
Let me start by saying this, I had a feeling it was too good to be true. I ordered 12 books during a sale and waited over a month for my shipment to arrive. Well when I opened my order only 1 of the 12 books was in the box and another random book I didn't even order. So I proceeded to contact customer service and they did apologize and claimed to have refunded me but I've yet to see that refund.

Loved the prices on this site. It was getting out of hand and I have like 50 books in my save for later list! My only suggestion would be adding a save for later button right on the search results page for every book and also more filters. I went through 50 pages of fiction and I was scared to stop for fear I'd have to start all over again. But books arrived on time and great quality! Will definitely use it again and again!
I love ordering from Book Outlet! The site offers books at low prices, both newer and older, and also often has sales on these already discounted books. My one critique for Book Outlet would be that sometimes I receive books with bent covers and pages due to the packaging.
The Book Outlet is always a crap shoot. They don't post the condition of their books b/c they're supposedly "new" but shelf wear alone can bring the condition of the books they sell down to a "good" or sometimes even"poor". They don't do much to protect them either when shipped. They just throw your books in a box and off they go. A little bit more effort would be a appreciated

I purchased 6 books from the bargain section, under 10$ bucks each. I received my parcel only 8 days later and the books are in great condition. It is almost too good too be true! I will definitely purchase more books from this site! :)
