Book Outlet

Our mail is slow. It took over 2.5 weeks for delivery and it was after the holidays. It did order 30 books so I'm thinking no one wanted to delivery them. I have had a problem twice with the boxes being open or ripped when I picked them up. I don't know how you can fix that. Thank you.

Site was easy to use. Checkout was a breeze and my items arrived on time. I don't think I had heard of this site before now but I'm glad I found them. I'll definitely be buying from here again in the future.

Amazing prices on books that are in great condition. I made 3 seperate orders within one week because there was just so much too choose from! Sadly one never came, it was lost, which is not their fault. And I was offered a refund or a fulfillment immediately. Great customer service!

I'm always happy shopping Book Outlet, great sale prices on brand new perfect condition hardback books. They have lots of newer releases, I was able to get a couple I'd been hoping to find & at an amazing price. The only thing I wish is a lower purchase amount to get free shipping, would be nice if you're generally just looking for a couple books at a time as I usually am. Though the coupons they offer are a nice bonus, I tend to use those to cover the shipping cost & it's really helpful. I tell all my reader friends to visit Book Outlet.

The books took MUCH longer to arrive than I expected. I placed an order on September 29 and did not receive it until October 11.
Two of the books I ordered were in perfect condition. The third, less so. The cover was visibly dirty and upon opening the front cover, there were pages cracked away from the spine. If I'd seen this book in a retail store, I would have looked for another copy. It is functional and not unreadable, but probably not worth returning.

Bookoutlet is a great site for quality books at great prices. They always have something going on in respect to sales/bargains. They also have a good reward program. Shipping is fairly quick and reasonable. I do wish they would lower their threshold for shipping though (Free shipping only for orders $35 or more.)

I am thrilled with Book Outlet. Glad to have a non-Amazon option for easy online book shopping. I got 6 books for less than $45 and shipping was included! It might not ship as fast as some, but they're books, it's not like I need them STAT. I think it was less than a week from order placed to books in hand. All in all great experience, definitely recommend.

Great experience! All of the books were VERY good prices with very minor damage. I hate paying full price for anything, especially books. Delivery took about 10 days. I will continue to order from here.

My husband ordered gift cards for my Christmas present, but they will not be received in time for the holiday. I should have done more research into this company before I gave him my Christmas list. Now I'm worried once I am able to order, what condition my books will be in upon receipt - it may be next Christmas before I receive them, at their current rate of speed! Disappointed thus far, hope they leave me pleasantly surprised in the future. If so, I will update my review. Fingers crossed!

The books were not packed very well and the covers got bent. It may be better if some packing materials were added to counter any shifting that may occur. Another option would have been to mail them in padded envelopes.

My experience with Book Outlet has been lovely- the books are always so reasonably priced, and the quality of the books themselves leaves almost nothing lacking. Occasionally, there will be small imperfections on the covers, but other than that, it's just like ordering off of Barnes and Noble without the exorbitant price tag.

First time Buyer using Book Outlet. The prices are fantastic! Entire experience was very good, with one exception. We ordered a lot of books and I found the packing was not done well. The large boxes had lots of books and almost zero packing material (bubble wrap, air bags, etc). So the books were free to slide and move, which tore the box up from the inside out. Several boxes were no longer taped and our post office said they even had to tape it somewhat closed to deliver it. The books, thankfully, were not damaged, but I'm not they could have held up to even one more day.

Shipping time took 2 weeks to get to me. They didn't use any packing material in the box so it was crushed during shipment and all of the books had corners and edges damaged from bumping together during shipping. My books for Christmas gifts look like I got them from the thrift store. I've been ordering for several years now, but this one may be my last because of the shipping issues.

The packaging used is very poor. Books are simply tossed in a too large box without padding. They arrived with bent covers and pages and smashed corners. More attention to better packaging is needed. This has happened more than once.

I spent a lot of money on this site and will no longer purchase from them anymore due to poor customer service. Warning: do not believe what you see on Youtube about Book Outlet. Books vary in condition. Things that are marked as not scratch and dent may come with tears and dents. If you complain much, customer service will begin to ignore you completely. You can open a ticket and they will close it, not even tell you, and speak with you no further. Prices are good but very unpredictable condition of books. To have customer service not answer you after multiple attempts is unacceptable. Not worth the cheap prices!

Spent well over $100 all the books in the box were tore damaged beyond repair, they told me that their policy is; if the dust jackets were tore that's normal wear & tear, i told them to renew their policy, i have bought with this company for 4 years only to get $#*!ty books back never ever will i buy a book again from them, they didn't seem to want my business anyways after 4 years not calling me back or just me leaving a message on deaf ears

I ordered children's books to give as prizes for my library's Summer Reading program. The books we got were good quality, and we were able to get even nice hardbacks for under $3. The only drawback is that when the books arrived they were not packed very well. One box was ripped through and a couple of the books had bent corners or pages. Another box was pretty smashed. They might consider investing just a little bit more on quality cardboard boxes.

I buy something from BookOutlet almost every time I get on there. They don't have quick shipping but overall it isn't a long wait. Especially when you consider their prices. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

Edit 10/04/22 Still my favorite place to get books. I have placed 21 orders in less than 7 months because I just can't resist their prices and the sales are awesome!

Overall the experience was okay but nothing that would encourage me to order through them again. Once shipped, the books arrived in my city and sate there for 5-6 days before they were out for delivery.

Once I finally got the books (2 separate orders), a lot of the kid books I got had slight damage. It was also irritating that there were marks on the bottom of the book with different color markers. I get that this is for their own internal coding system, but as a book lover it is such a turn off and I'd rather buy non-marked books elsewhere.

Because the cost is so low, I buy more books than I should.
