“Bookit.com is a criminal”

I would give BookIt.com zero stars if I could. We booked 2 trips though them and paid over $3000. They never paid the resorts and then closed their doors for what they said was due to the Corona virus. They kept all our money... like criminals and the CEO made it clear in his statement no one will get their money back. That is not only bad business practice but is a criminal act.

We had our honeymoon booked with BookIt.com for June. We had paid 4 of our 6 payments before they shut down operations. We followed the directions of their email to contact our bank about a refund. We filed a claim and the bank said they could only get half of our money back. BookIt just disputed our claim to even get that amount back! So now we are out THOUSANDS of dollars with NO HONEYMOON to show for it. What should have been one of our happiest moments has been robbed from us :(

Bookit.com doesn't deserve one star. Took our deposit of $1660. 00. Canceled our reservation and kept the money. No refund offered. Lied to credit card saying they refunded the money when they clearly did not! Avoid at all costs.

Bookit.com took everyone's money, in my case $3,500.00 for a once in a lifetime Vacation.
Failed to reply or respond after many times many attempts. After COVID19, they took our money, then took tge Hotels refunds, took insurance money in our case an additional $500, and ran away. They kept millions. We tried to talk to them in February 2020, and they were already ducking calls.

If you have experienced theft from Bookit.com, jump on the Class Action law suit and Florida Attorney General case.

Don't recommend!
1. Customer service dies not answer the calls. I was on the phone for 45 minutes this was just one time of many attempts for about 45 min. When finally getting through they would hang up on me!
2. They cancelled my trip due to Corona virus but I was not given the chance to reschedule for another time but instead took all my money. I was unable to get a hold of anyone through the phone nor via internet.
3. Unauthorized credit card withdraws. After the no travel alert they still charged me money and have not refunded any of it.
4. Do you need any other reasons to convince you?

I to lost $3400 for a trip to Cancun! I paid in full 3months before the trip May 2. Book it paid 0 amount to the resort. I do have American airline tickets but they won't refund or even credit doing the purchase was thru a 3rd party. I was the lucky one at least I didn't show up at a resort and get stuck with another 3k for the stay. This is one of most dishonest/ creedy situation I've heard of! Somebody will be held responsible for these actions after this virus blows thru. Book it. Com see you in court.

Made a reservation with BookIt.com last September. Picked a beautiful Hotel in Puerto Vallarta for this coming August. I signed up for Book It payment plan and made my last payment in January so as far as I knew my trip was paid in full. March 21,2020 recieved an email from Book It saying they cancelled my upcoming reservation and would not be offering a refund. Then said, however, that they would waive the cancellation fee. Really? How nice of you! They removed their website, disconnected phones and turned off emails. So. I guess I am just supposed to say goodbye to $3000. What a horrible company. How can you do this to hard working people. Shame on you.

I booked a hotel in Mexico with them and when I got there the hotel was in the heart of the ghetto it was run down it said it had an ocean view there was no ocean. They put me on the 4th floor with no elevator and I have heart problems so I refuse to sign the paper I called book it right away and said they had to find me something else. That hotel cost me $400 until this day I have made over 15 calls and I have never had my money reimbursed. The next hotel they booked when I got there the guy couldn't find the reservation so I had to pay in cash for the first night. The next day the manager told me he found the reservation but it was booked for the same date but in the following year. They did make that correction. However their customer service is rude they will lie to you and you will not get any money back if you don't want to have a bad experience you might not want to book with them I wish I had of read the reviews first they don't have a one out of 5 review for nothing.

Bookit.com does not give credit or refund if you have an emergency and need to cancel or like myself decided not to go to Jamaica because of the Coronavirus and I have underline health issues dues to asthma. Although, the company says you can cancel within 24-72hrs but they DO NOT truly honor what they preach. After calling several times they finally called me back and said you can cancel but it going to cost you the amount of the trip so it doesn't make sense to do so. So its going to cost around $600 plus dollars to cancel? Its suppose to cost ZERO dollars 24-72 hours before the trip. A credit would be nice at-least. So if you book and something comes up and you need to change the date, need a refund or credit they will tell whatever excuse so they will NOT have to give you any credit or refund. You simply just loose your money! Stay Away!

Bookit.com is nothing but a rip off. They stole $4700 from my wife and I for our honeymoon trip that was planned for march 24th-31st 2020. They canceled all of their trips and didn't give any of its customers refunds (600+ and counting). The CEO Bud finlaw turned off the phones and left it customers stranded all over the globe. Customers that paid bookit were left paying double because bookit.com did not pay the resorts. All of this happended right before covid-19 shut down international travel. Absolutely worst way they could have handled this. DO NOT USE THIS OTA!

It's now 2am. Still on hold. During booking our trip, there website froze, double charged us for everything. Then, call them to find out our flights are booked but the hotel is unavailable. 3 hours later... they dont have anything to offer us since its a trip next week. Guess what! Were out $600 for plane tickets... with no hotel to go too. Sick to my stomach that they could think this is right. What a joke.

I am currently trying to book a trip in the fall to the Caribbean, Book-it has all of these prime deals on their web page. However, they are all false, I understand travel dates will affect rates but I was unable to find these "Deals" my rates increased 60% each time I tried different dates and months, I called a representative and simply asked which dates I needed to travel to get these deals and she was unable to tell me, "Because they don't exist!" she said each time you choose your dates the rates will change LOL. Really thanks for sharing that with me, I have chosen another site which is above board and does engage in this misrepresentation, Will never come back to book-it 07/16/2019

I booked an all inclusive hotel with Bookit to St Maarten. 3 days before the flight, I receive an email from bookit.com telling me that the hotel is not going to re-open on time. Meanwhile, I have already bought my airplane tickets. I was offered a free "cancellation" (funny enough, given that they cancelled on me), or travel at later date (which is not an option as the kids would be in school), or another hotel (not all inclusive, much lower standards). They also offered me to travel to Mexico instead, but no refund or compensation whatsoever for cancelling the airline tickets to St Maarten (needless to say, booking a flight to Mexico 3 days before the flight is way more expensive)

This was my first time using book it.com. If your thinking about using them for a trip don't walk but run! I used them to book my first wedding anniversary, less than one month before I am suppose to leave, they send me an email stating they are completely changing my resort! When I called customer service for a further explanation, I continue to get attitude and hung up on. Seemed like no one wanted to help me with this change of plans. I ended up having to call the corporate office and even then, nothing was done about my issue, not even a room upgraded, absolutely nothing! Do not book with this company would be my advice, because they could could less about their customers.

Please do not use these guys to book your vacation. They basically stole money off me. I had booked a hotel in Mexico with them, and had received a email stating the dates and times of the booking, plus the price I had paid. I then noticed that another site had the same hotel at a $200 discount to what I had just paid. I recontacted Booking.com to see if there was anything they could do. I was told that they would not match the price exactly but would give me a special members discount of $160, which would be credited back. I felt this was a good solution. I then received an email saying my reservation was cancelled. I phoned back again to query this, and was told that a new reservation was coming my way. The only problem was that I had booked for January, and the new dates were in July. I told them this was wrong, and they explained the only way I could get back my $160 that was promised was to travel in July. No matter how many times I tried to explain that we had no intention of traveling in July, they refused to believe that the discount was for my original January booking. They then wanted $350 more to re-book me onto my original date. When I refused to pay, they cancelled my reservation, and charged me another $50 cancellation fee, even though I had never cancelled the original reservation. Over the course of the next day I was hung up on, placed on hold for 45 minutes, and laughed at. No help at all. Now I do not have a reservation and am out $50 US.
On top off that they still have not refunded any money at all to my credit card. I now have had to involve the bank.
Worst travel experience I have ever had. I also tried leaving messages with executives of the company, but of course no one ever phoned back. Beware

On January 9th I stumbled across an ad for Bookit.com on one of my internet sites while booking a trip for my husband & I to LasVegas. The promo looked inviting as you were providing 2 free tickets to any MGM show. Great! We had intended to go see Terry Fator and this was perfect for our needs.

And so the journey began…I went through all the mandatory fields to book the trip using a couple of different flight & hotel combinations. Once I decided I had the right package for a reasonable price I went ahead and hit the button to seal the deal….

1st mistake…. Immediately I got a message telling me that it had all gone well with the exception of the flight not being confirmed…hmmm…. And that I must call a number to get this done. And so I called…on a cell phone with a data plan with limited minutes…. 10 minutes later I was still holding and so silly me, decided to hang up and try again…. Nope…another 10 minutes of waiting and being told by recording that this was going to cost me an additional $25.00 for speaking with an agent…finally I got a human on the other end, explained the problem…she asked me once again to hold…. And so I did for another at least 6 minutes…. Back on she came, explaining she had problems confirming my flight price that I had said okay to and that Bookit.com was graciously absorbing the additional $103.00 flight charge that had apparently increased during my 20 minutes of waiting to talk to your rep…

Once it was confirmed I asked about the free show tickets and to please confirm that transportation was included in the price…they stated the show tickets would be confirmed once the hotel was confirmed and yes, the transportation had been booked.

And so I signed on to my Bookit.com account the next day, a bit anxious about the tickets and keeping my fingers crossed I would get the Terry Fator show…I was concerned as your website states that tickets must be confirmed 72 hours after confirmation…I once again spoke to a Customer Service agent who said yes, the show tickets were confirmed and I should be hearing shortly…okay, taken at their word.

Being very patient I again logged onto my Bookit.com account after another 2 days and nope, no show tickets under the activities section…. But there was a $100.00 restaurant.com gift card…thank you. (more about this later). I am now on my 3rd call and I've also emailed the Activity coordinator at the Mirage to ensure my tickets have been reserved…. She writes back that she just spoke to a Bookit.com representative and I had cancelled my room so therefore the tickets were a non-starter…WHAT! I wrote back this was not the case and I was going to immediately contact Bookit.com…

As this was my 4th call to Bookit.com I was not in the best frame of mind to be told I had cancelled my reservation (despite looking at my credit card statement where what a surprise…no problem with the charge having gone through)…as I spoke to your agent, she asked if we were travelling with another family…What? I said No, just my husband and myself…oh she says someone has put comments that we were travelling with another family…and yes the room had been cancelled and rebooked (why I'm still not clear)…. And the show tickets were certainly confirmed…anything else they can do for me? I asked her to confirm the transportation as I didn't see it on my booking contract…Nope…not there…so went through the motions and an additional charge to get to and from the hotel (surprised they don't have a free shuttle)…and yes, thanks I do see the gift card and please confirm my show tickets…apologies, apologies and well there should be…all straightened out and show tickets should be displayed under the activities link in a day or two…new hotel confirmation given…

And lo and behold they do finally show…so now I'm tasked with going in and choosing seats…anticipating at least somewhat decent views…Nope, nosebleed section…. We have tickets for almost the last row…Yea…we get to watch Terry Fator on the Jumbotron…I have a big screen TV at home…I suspect it will likely be much like watching it there…. What's the saying…if it's too good to be true?

As for the restaurant card…I have to decide which restaurant within a 10 mile radius I want to eat? I was hoping this card was good for somewhere decent and close and I didn't have to decide before I left home to print out the voucher…I guess I'll close my eyes and choose.

All in all it's been quite a journey with Bookit.com…. I won't be back…and I certainly hope there are no surprises once we get on the way…. But I won't hold my breath…

I would not allow my dog to stay here.
Very poor customer service checking in amd checking out.
They don't care about their guest.
The hotel was close to walking distance to everything.
But the hotel needs to hire all new staff including Housekeeping.
When you check in a room check all apects of the room. I smelled a funny smell and opened the nitestand drawer and some one vomitted in the drawer, which means the room was not cleaned proper.
I called down and was very upset, the manager offered first food and drinks at the Restaurant /bar downstairs.
Then told me he would upgrade me and still pushed free drinks and food, which i was not having.
I stayed for the weekend and believe i should be compt a nite for this horrible experience with this hotel.
Went to check out and there notes stating that i wasbein compt a nite but my funds are still being withheld on my card and won't be available for 5 to 7 business days.
And the raised the rates the second nite of stay.
I will never stay at Club Quarters Chicago again and will contact corporate

Bookit.com worst website EVER! Bookit.com is no longer getting my families business or any of my oilfield colleagues business ever again. They do not honestly try to help you with your problems. Once they have your money they want nothing to do with you... and even pleading with them doesn't do a bit of good. They show no compassion for hard working people who book (what they thought was a good deal) and by some strange way the booking date is off. To me websites that value their customers work hard at trying to fix problems. Even if a problem could have been avoidable not just act like "well sorry the problem is your fault we have your money". This was the attitude from a representative AND a supervisor. I WILL make sure others know about this so they won't get screwed over as well. Expedia, Priceline, and Hotwire will get my business in the very near future.

When we asked to speak to a manager, this is what we were told.

Long story short, we booked a honeymoon vacation, a rental car, and airline flights through this website. Over the course of the past five months we learned that there had been a mistake in booking all of these. We had to pay out of pocket to fix the airline mistakes. The company refused to refund the mistake made in booking the rental car. And then honeymoon vacation was a bust.

Just today, we spoke with a representative regarding why the honeymoon vacation was a bust. The quote above comes directly from that conversation. Through a miscommunication with the hotel and the "company", my fiancee and I will not be experiencing the honeymoon package that we paid for. The manager we spoke to chocked it up to a "mistake in advertising." Oh well, that is all good and fine. The company owned up to their mistake and will be fixing in accordingly, right? Wrong! Through a dance of legally correct jargon, the manager informed me that they would be doing nothing to fix the "mistake" made.

Will they be refunding us the extra money we dished out for the package? No.
Will they be working with the hotel to ensure that we get the package we paid for? No.
Will there be any concessions whatsoever for the mistake made? No.

We were literally told by the representative we spoke to before that the manager that we "need to live with it."

That's what you get with BookIt, just "live with it".

I was called hours before I was to get on my flight, informed that my reservation would need to be switched as the Riu was not honoring reservations (spoke with Riu and they indicated this was not the case). Apparently bookit.com knew about this "issue" for days but waited until the last minute to contact me. I indicated I was going to that specific resort for a wedding and could not be switched to another resort. After waiting hours for a returned phone call, I called them, waited on hold for 40+ minutes and the representative phoned Riu (as did I) and informed me I was good to travel and there would be no issues with my reservation. I arrived and they had called and cancelled it on me. I had to pay thousands of dollars unexpectedly out of pocket, and received no communication from Bookit.com regarding. I contacted them upon my return, waited another 40+ minutes on the phone and had to explain why I was calling for a refund. They disputed the amount, gave me three conflicting reasons as to why and then finally offered to "waive a fee" to send me a breakdown of what they were seeing on their end, as apparently it was different than what I had confirmed in writing. They were unprofessional to deal with, and did not care how much they disrupted my vacation. I have written to their executive for a resolution.
