I ordered a dog crate cover through Bonanza; it was sent to the wrong address, and the people at Bonanza sent another one, no questions asked. When that one arrived it was the wrong size. I received an immediate refund. Very professional, quite responsive, and very speedy. I would order from them again!
I bought an Xbox 360 game from them. When it arrived, I looked at the disc and it has this faded area at the top of it. I put it in the system to try it put and wouldn't even read the disc. I contacted them. And after back and forth banter for 2 days, they finally just started to ignore me. So now, instead of just giving me a refund or picking something different, I am out of money and a game that is just trash. I used to buy from them with no issues but after this, never shopping with them again.
I continued to let my eBay items import over Bonanza over the last 5 years or so since started with Bonanza, I did try an next level store with 9%+ seller fees, I noticed no result changes. My google tags seem to be Ok... But I never see any tremendous changes in stats... So I surely would be skeptical to sign up to the $200+ store.
What I have recently discovered and in the process of doing, is making a transition to a personal website. Is a personal website the best way to go? Heck yes, it is! Why? Because you keep all of your funds, you control every aspect of the business. No one charging you fees on shipping, percentage to sell, listing fees. Granted, these selling platforms need to make money, and it eliminates the need for you to manage all intricate details of the site. I get that, however. It is not as difficult as you may think... email me and I can tell you what I'm doing. Knowing how to secure the domain name is the first key thing. And you need to make sure you own it... Do not set up any domain with this selling platforms(bonanza, etc, crater and others) you may regret it in the end. But I can give you a guide on how to get going for a little of nothing at least the first 2 years. If you are short on the money. I will not charge for the information. Just don't want to go into here.
Wow! I thought I found good reviews until i stumbled on this site with updated reviews about Bonanza. The overall site appeared to be good. So I posted a few things... currently I am an Ebay seller. 9yrs. Looking to get away from the love hate relationship I have with them and the policies which try to control a seller and how he operates. Anyway! Tried posting on Bonanza... could not post item descriptions as I needed for my product. The items I did post - no views at all... HMMM! I sent email for support. No reply. Not one person to talk to. Been 5 days. That is crazy; if you are taking money at any %. For fees... you better talk to sellers... I have removed my account... THE reviews here, very helpful.---I ordered 1 item Jan 2015. It arrived pronto... But I too will not take anymore chances.
UPDATE 9-7-2015
Ok. It is not Mid 2015 I decided to give Bonanza another try. Got all my listings posted. They even migrate all of my ebay listings and keep them up to date... WOW!
But a lot is still to be said about selling here... It has been 3 months. I have no views. No sales and I do not think i am getting a minimal place in the search engine. Until I see how this works... I will not pay for any upgrade to advertisement until I see how the selling platform. This is what they want from you. I see that. My booth shows I should be in google search, HMMM, I doubt it.
Now the ironic thing is here. I started selling on Etsy.com as well... same product... Super awesome site. I am doing better there than Ebay and surely better than Bonanza. So at this point I still have nothing good to say. Nothing beats a failure but a try and i have surely TRIED!
Tip for consumers:
Can't say to much for purchasing..But for selling standpoint..Hmmm..I don't think so..the support is a big issue here
I have been on the site as a seller ( free) no subscriptions for about a month. I signed up for the 13.9% commision which advertises you on google. I have not made a sale yet and maybe 2 views per day. Most of my items have sold on ebay. They give preference to subscribers. I'm not sure how to rate them yet. Love the easiness of setting up a booth. Limited traffic. As long as I am making sales on ebay, My listings can hang out for a while here.If you are a new seller and need to make money, I recommend ebay. If your import from ebay, bonanza automatically adjust your price. Sometimes a bit to high.
I recently made a purchase from Go Nutra... accidently ordered the wrong product and tried every way possible to reach them to get it corrected. They ignored ALL my
Messages and shipped the incorrect order.
Back to ebay, I guess...
Hi Bren,
Thanks for leaving this comment and so sorry to hear about the trouble. We'd love the chance to help make things right. If possible, please email us directly at support@bonanza.com. Thanks!
Imagine my surprise when I removed the packing tape, the packaging had already been opened. Then to my disgust 3 of the pages of pills had be accessed and over 10 pills have been removed. I did not see anywhere that this is a returned (used) product. This does not feel like a safe product.
Bananzabozo REFUNDED me the complete cost including shipping
If you are just curious about the features, or just getting started selling. Steer clear. This site is for established businesses. No service is free on Bonanza. I will not use them again.
Tip for consumers:
For established businesses. Use eBay if your new to the online game. They don't push services that aren't really free and they have fair customer services. They are simply already established, not experimental.

I bought some stuff. I sold some stuff. I will not shop again. But the funds have already been transferred. Hopefully they spend it wisely.
I ordered an $18 item through Bonanza. My card was charged but no merchandise was ever received. I received a confirmation e-mail but never got a tracking number. After 2 weeks the I sent an e-mail and called the seller, no response. I then contacted Bonanza and after 3 days of e-mails going back and forth they basically told me to go dispute this on my own.
Some customer service! I use their site to purchase an item from their listed customer and when the product isn't delivered they tell me to handle it myself. Great business model.
I've been on Bonanza for 5 years now and I have not sold a single item. Some may chalk it up to bad luck, but I am a top rated seller on another site. There is simply no action here. Have you read any of the so called success stories on Bonanza? If you read one of them be sure to check the feedback of the person writing the story. I have not seen one of these stories where the person sold more than a few items on this site, and it took years to do it. That doesn't sound like success to me.
Found Bonanza while searching for eBay alternatives. The site is legit; our business lists many products for sale there. However- if you are looking to become a vendor there, keep this in mind:
They charge a percentage for every sale made. While they advertise that they are less expensive to use than eBay, it is simply not true. Their base commission- the cheapest platform avaialble- may be less than eBay's, but Bonanza *charges* vendors for internet visibility. That's right- if you pick the cheapest platform, nobody sees your products via google search. You have to pick the next higher platform to get any kind of internet visibility, and that platform is instantly more expensive than selling on eBay.
EBay offers that visibility for free...
Tip for consumers:
If you want to sell- stick with eBay; it is cheaper in the long run, and you get more visibility on the internet, which equates to more sales. We are no fans of eBay, but Bonanza lies about their fees, which is a deal breaker.
I tried to exit this site some months ago they have not acted on my request to do so and I cannot see the cancel option in other options

Was put on probation by bonanza because I had essentially gotten three negative ratings. The three were bogus and I wanted to discuss this with bonanza. I used their contact form and the only response that I got was an irrelevant form letter. When you contact bonanza you are required to categorize your inquiry. That allows them to know which form letter to send you. If you think I am kidding just look at the response that they have posted on each review on this site. It is the exact same form letter.
Tip for consumers:
If there is no way to talk to a representative of the site you are interested in choose a different site; there are plenty of them out there. I have been with bonanza for a long time and I no longer see any value with continuing a one sided relationship.

I ordered a part, and it was claimed it would be shipped by a particular date. Two days after that, no part. I contacted the seller via the website (the only way to to so), and they refunded the money but claimed the part would be shipped. The shipping date kept getting later and later, and the seller never provided tracking info. I provided negative feedback about the seller to Bonanza, but never received any feedback on that. Two months later, I found the part elsewhere. I give two stars rather than one because I actually got the refund. However I would have preferred to buy the part, but failing that to have received feedback.
Even after years of being open, this site is so very slow. You have to pay to get some advertising through Google shopping, which I understand that part of it, but some of the advertising levels are high in order to get sales, which makes the final value fees high. Bonanza itself is super (outrageously) slow in and of itself without Google shopping. Just take a look under their Sold listings and that will speak for itself. They do some other things on the site that do not make sense with a selling platform. You'd have to be on the site selling to see what I mean. I just do not recommend the site to sell on at all.
When doing a search for products there are more and more scammers out there. I almost was going to order from Bonanza but decided to check their reviews, thank goodness I did! How can a business receive so many poor reviews and still have an online site? I don't get it... Thank you all reviewers, I am so grateful for freedom of speech! I will look elsewhere for what I need even though they offered it a few dollars cheaper. It isn't worth the aggravation of not receiving the product and having to dispute it through the credit card company. I will order from a known and reliable source.

I purchased a piece of furniture from a seller (nellydeals) instead of another source, only to get an email days later that they didn't actually have the item and it would be weeks or more to get it. Of course, by that time, the other seller had sold their item, so I am 'out of luck'. Selling things you don't have is unethical, besides being illegal. They say they are refunding my money, but that doesn't get me the furniture I could have gotten from someone else at the time they 'sold' me something.

I was a loyal seller on Bonanza for a few years until they just shut me down without warning while I still had packages to send to my customers. They took the money that was paid to me in my account and I could never recover it. Bonanza had great potential but it has been ruined by pettiness and greed. I had great and loyal customers who stuck with me but Bonanza did not care.

When a company does not respond to tracking inquiry sends a red flag. Reasonable prices but emphasis on customer service is just as important.
Been there about two weeks as a seller so far not a single view on my booth. My products are popular to hunters and others who feed deer and elk. Sporting goods -hunting-feeders and feed category. Not looking good!
I've had two orders cancelled because they could not deliver the item I bought. One was sold twice, and I'm not sure about the other.
I've had a couple orders which were delivered fine.
Zero traffic on this website for sellers. Have been a member for over a year and have only sold 4 things. I am a Silver Level eBay Powerseller.
I have been a seller on Bonanza.com for approximately 3 months. They do have some good features pertaining to selling on this site but not many people know about the site so most of your buyers will be first time visitors due to online google ads they place which they charge you for. The site support is atrocious. They don't allow you to call them, only if you signed up for certain memberships (Titan $200 mo.)will they allow you to place a phone appt with them. If you use their escrow account to receive credit & debit transactions they don't always pay you on the date it says the fund are to be released, sometimes your paid the next day from the release date but most of the time it's 2-5 days afterwards, it's like they don things when they get around to it. Get this, I sent a message asking how do they pay out and why is it inconsistent and they put my escrow account to "inelgible status" and removed the release dates on the $1,000 I still had remaining in escrow because someone got in their feelings. This site seems to be run by one family out of their house or something. Customer service does whatever they want to. I upgraded by membership from a Pro to Titan for an extra $130 mo. And don't receive any better traffic than before so I canceled the upgrade. Other sites offer much more support than this one.
OK, I have been selling on this site for just over 5 years and I can truly say my sales are pitiful! I sell on eBay and about 90% of my stuff sells there. Not sure WHY I only get about a dozen sales a year with Bonanza. It really makes no sense. I like their booth setup and now they even import your listing on eBay. However, if the item sells on ebay, it doesn't get removed from Bonanza so you really have to keep an eye on your listings. It's too much work but since I am already set up, I just leave my stuff there and every once in a while I get a sale. For new subscribers I would say it's probably not worth it. If you really want sales, unfortunately eBay is the only place I have found to get them. Yes, you pay a lot in fees but your items also sell so you can't argue with sales. I sell about $500/mo on eBay and have been selling there since 1997. I keep hoping my sales will increase on the Bonanza site but it has never happened. I do have people clicking and viewing my items but NOT buying... Maybe you only get sales if you pay for one of their subscription services. I don't think its worth it for me. I their lower level subscription service for $25/mo and got nothing!

I have been selling on Bonanza for over a year. When I first started I uploaded over 250 items from ebay. That was the beginning of problem # 1. Bonanza just keeps importing the same listings over and over and over. I had to contact support to find out how to shut it off. I changed the template from ebay garble to be Bonanza oriented and their system kept re-importing the same listings so no matter haw many times I changed it it imported the old listings again with the ebay garble.
Not much for sales, spotty and inconsistent. Sometimes go weeks with nothing. Keeps hawking a "Bonanza Webstore" instead of focusing on correcting features and deficiencies for sellers. Alot of sellers already have there own company website (as I do), and only use online selling platforms like Bonanza, ebay as advertising and/or tax write-offs. We can include company flyers in the packages from these selling platforms to push more traffic to our company websites, plus it gives us another expense to write off, including classifying it as "advertising".
Then there is the problems of shipping system that is more expensive that the US Postal Service website is, and has no low cost options (like Regional Rate boxes) for sellers and no discounted pricing. Even I get a better rate from the postal service than what Bonanza offers, and they would definitely get a much better rate if they negotiated a deal. Even paypal shipping is cheaper than Bonanza. And when you add shipping to an item, there is no option to set the cost for "each additional" for the same buyer or even the same item.
The latest issue is some stupid problem of items triggering some far fetched feature that causes a new item sellers are listing to be held in limbo for "under review" This has happened to 3 items I have listed in the past week. I imported 250 through their importer when they didn't know me from nothing, but yet I can list small items without "manual approval". Since starting to sell on ebay in 1998 I have NEVER had this issue with any item I was listing.
If you plan on selling, don't expect much unless you have a good niche market. Don't plan your retirement as a millionaire because it is not going to happen. Be prepared to wait and tolerate the stupidity that is still prevalent on the site. I waited for a number of years before starting to sell on Bonanza thinking the bugs would be ironed out by the time I started. I was wrong. Seems their still too young to figure it out.
I know this sounds stupid but nobody buys noodles hoping for confetti! Ordered 6 boxes of pappardelle noodles (which I cannot buy in my locale) and they came almost pulverized which negates the entire purpose of purchasing them! Not sure if they were shipped that way, or if they were in the UPS plane crash in WV (not actually possible) but they are virtually useless. My other two purchases from Bonanza were fine.
I never sold much. I had many items and I would sell in a year what I would sell in two weeks on Amazon. I was removed because I filed a complaint with the BBB that Bonanza reimbursed me. They charge you for items that a buyer never pays for. The scam works like this... you need to approve a pending sale. The buyer never pays or responds to any email. If you don't notice it. Bonanza charges your credit card and that is that. Prior to that I found their customer support decent and I thought I was dealing with people.
I sold less then ten items in 2 years. The fact that I was able to transfer my items from Ebay made it fairly effortless.
