One of the reasons that I chose this platform was because it could integrate with my Apple mail. It did to that for the first year. After that year was up, it will no longer integrate. It says something about the license not being right. I have missed multiple important emails because it won't push to my phone. The email platform that is a part of bluehost itself feels archaic, so it is even more frustrating. I tried to call and rectify the situation with my bluehost email going to Apple mail, but the person I talked to couldn't help me at all. I have also looked this up online and know that many people have had this problem. I am considering changing web hosts.
My experience has been good and bad at the same time. Overall, good, but i have my backups of my client's website that cannot be restored, and they are now taking me to court for damages.
Frustrated with domains I own not connecting. It could be user error as I am a novice to bluehost and Wordpress.
UI is unintuitive.
Constantly asking me to sign up for this or that is annoying and slowing down workflow.
My account was hacked a while back. I spent a lot of time fixing the problem, only to have it hacked again. I asked BlueHost if they could wipe my accountentirely to ensure nothing malicious was hiding out, but they only offered to sell me additional security products. Currently, my account is useless because it become hacked constantly. Even when I delete everything. Even when I try to deny all with the.htaccess file. Worse, if I try to get help I have to sit in the chat queue waiting for help that never comes. BlueHost eliminated tickets and email support, so there is no option except to chat. I don't have time to sit around watching for a chat response. Finally, BlueHost seems to have elminated 2FA with an authenticator app. The only option is SMS code, which has been identified as insecure. The BlueHost product gets worse and worse (currently completely unusable), but the price never goes down.
At this point, I have to decide whether to try to get any use out of my remaining BlueHost suibscription, or just put all my effort into moving somewhere else and spreading the word about how bad BlueHost is. I hate this company.
I have had email problems for a long time and customer support couldn't help. I am looking for a hosting alternative so I can have reliable email.
You have stole money from me, charged me, deleted my domain, and now trying to charge me 100 for your error. Im being refused help, nobody seems to know what they are doing. And my domain that was transfered to you is about to expire for good. Ive had it 8 years...expect a lawsuit
Hi Sir / Madam
Am just transferred my domain to Hostinger and contacted the Chat service for getting a copy of my website files, the agent told me that i must renew my Subscription, how come that am old client with you and need this files to transfer, you want to make me to pay 75 euro for just coping files?! For me this is not accepted!
Instructions to reset were not that clear and emails were not coming through very quickly for some reason
Your messaging about certain features comes across like they are required when in fact they are optional. This type of marketing scheme is a scam and preys on less educated people about hosting.
Just have not been happy with overall experience. Want more.
Once I learned the ins and outs of the system, I've been very satisfied!
I've had a good experience so far, all is running well.
Your application is very capable - that's good. But that also makes it complex to learn. You need much better help tools.
Typical hosting account but We have had issues that took time to correct, however, bluehost did get those issues corrected.
Still learning, but it looks pretty user friendly so far
Make the ad for upgrading privacy on domains needs to go away and I shouldn't be forced to view it EVERY TIME i log in. Would give less for this forced ad garbage.
Love bluehost. Love the prices, the wordpress compatibilities and the chat support that always is helpful with fixing things fast.
Pretty frequent login issues. Seems to have been better lately.
I've run into some issues that make it difficult to ensure I get post done on time. For example. There was one time the site was down due to some maintenance and I was given no notice of this. The support I get it nice, but one time an agent did tell me that I had 2-3 minutes to reply while I was trying to get a screenshot prepared, even though I waited more than 10 minutes to be connected with an agent. I understand you have other customers to attend to, but I'd like to be shown the same courtesy and patience I show to support as well as a paying customer.
Aggressive marketing. Terrible tech support. Impossible to use CPanel compared to other hosting providers.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
