Bluehost is clearly trying to increase profits by outsourcing support, and trying to upsell absolutely everywhere. It's eroding my confidence in the business and the product.
Switching my website from one hosting plan to another has been endless pain with useless support.
I am having some REAL issues with my website. I have called many times today and keep getting transferred over and over again. NOBODY with real competence has assisted and it is super frustrating.
I have been continuously updating information and it doesn't update. 1. had issues with authentication for weeks, it wouldn't except my input. 2. I have update billing information at 4/5 times and that's still an issue. The UX is not where it should be, to me it looks like y'all are still updating your website. It can get confusing is all I'm saying.
Logging in directly into the mail is too cumbersome. Have to log in first with the domain. Also no mobile app version of the e mail.
Please stop the advertising on the home page of my account; it's annoying.
Stop trying to sell me things like protection plans every time I log into my account. I'm paying you for services already. I need access to this site to do my job, and I don't need advertised to while I have to work.
I keep getting an advertisement for Domain Protection at a rate of $0.99/mo, paid annually, and that offer disappears as soon as I click through. The misadvertised prices and hidden fees are getting frustrating
My website is often experiencing issues. Can someone please look into it?
New cpanel is completely confusing! You are not helping old customers who did not have these limitations.
I don't like having to go through the advertising screen on your landing page to get to my accounts.
Intermittent outages, I got kicked off of tech support yesterday and no call back or progress was communicated.
Bluehost is too hard for me to use and I'm not able to learn. Also, I though cost was around $5.00 per month. I've spent a great deal more than that and have nothing
I'm not a Wordpress user, so the site and service are becoming less and less useful for my purposes.
Love BH and have used since 2005, but it feels like the UI changes every year or so, and finding the cPanel takes a little longer.
I have no interest in WordPress, and it feels like that's BH's primary focus.
I think it would help me to better understand what I am paying for here with my plan.
Your on-line help, either by voice or by chat, is worse than useless.
Your agents appear to be trained to believe that customer problems are due to customer ignorance, so they waste my time asking me to make changes to my code that have nothing to do with my problem.
I've been in this business a long time, as professional webmaster, sysadmin and IT security officer. I know how to find what is wrong with my own code. The only situations in which I would subject myself to the torture of dealing with your agents is when I am sure there is a problem at your site.
For example, my most recent question was, "Why doesn't a a change to my html code appear instantly on my website after I have saved the change?" I don't think your agent ever understood the issue, but she wasted more than an hour of my time making me explore dead ends. The answer, I later discovered on my own, turned out to be that you use server caching, so my changes don't appear on my web site until you update the server cache. Shame on you for keeping that important fact obscure, and DOUBLE SHAME ON YOU for not training your help agents to be aware of such issues.
Finding my way around is not as easy as I thought, simple cpanel options are missing and takes a lot of fiddling around. For example dns management settings.
BlueHost has been great. I do find it confusing sometimes and how to create and maintain pages is not always clear. They do have great customer service.
I've been having trouble accessing my email for a couple of months now. The only way I can do it is to go into my cpanel email and access it from there -- webmail access not working. And Bluehost tech support has been unhelpful
The new design is confusing, not very intuitive and it really sucks that we can't login with the domain or email. I spent 3 days trying to login and if I asked for my username it told me everytime my domain didn't exist. I had to look for a database backup to get the username, as non of the toold you provided worked. Also to remove the domain configurations from cpanel, super bad idea.
Bluehost used to have great customer service with knowledgeable workers. In the space of one month I have called over 10 times to get help resolving the same issue and I have received several different responses every time. This issue is still not resolved.
Blue Host staff is very helpful whenever we need help.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
