Your service has gone down bill. Been customer for over 17 years, thinking about leaving. Emails don't work all of the time on random domains.
I'd give 0 stars if I could. I've been talking to support for over 4 hours. No one can help, they are all poor listeners and poor communicators. My website is down. The communication is SLOW and poor. And they make crappy mistakes (the phone support was over an hour and SHE STILL SUBMITTED the wrong domain to the Escalated Support for goodness sakes!).
It is impossible to get issues fixed. Will be leaving as soon as we get the time. The emails from cPanel are being identified as spam because of bluehost. Their DNS is a mess.
Due to system defects, I am unable to secure my Bluehost account (cannot set a PIN, cannot change the email address associated with my account, cannot change my long password). Seeing how the price for this service has gone up significantly in recent years, I am not sure what I am paying for.
WP hosting seems not as reliable but general support is great.
Response times are way too slow for chat - I've waited sometimes 10 minutes between responses when I supposedly chatting with a tech support agent
The tools to set up a site are not up to where GoDaddy, where I had an ecommerce site for my wife before, were and I'm not trying to do anything as complex as that.
The templates are basically all the same except for colors and you don't really give any suggestions or options, or steps, on how to get and use more except for pointing at the Wordpress site.
I have been a customer for over 15 years, and the customer service level from my past experience in the past few month has been most disappointing. No issue is resolved, tickets are created and no fallow up is provided. I really miss the Bluehost quality of service that existed just a few years ago.
Good tech support, and minimal down time. Little hacks to site
This is really confusing you have two different areas for cPanel email...I have to go through way too many steps to get to the area where I can blacklist offending emails. Why can't you simplify this?
Great service but can be confusing and a bit frustrating for a first time website owner and creator
I was on the phone earlier today to ask that the secure certificate be renewed (we already paid for renewal). The guy could not figure out what it was. Then he said he had, and that out website would be up in about half hour. 7 hours later... no. I also did the online chat, and was told some plugin was the problem. Someone in my organization took a look and said the issue is the un-renewed secure certificate. I need it renewed!
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
