I have been a producer on Blip for over two years and have had nothing but negative and frustrating experiences... About the only nice thing about the site is the look of the main page...

They constantly compete against their own producers buy cherry picking shows to feature on their main pages and Roku TV channel which never gives other series a chance to develop an audience... The streaming and embedding is notoriously bad and support is sub-par at best... They will also cancel your show at the drop of a hat without adequate explanation... My advice is to let them stay a "blip" on the radar of the entertainment world... They have a lot to learn...

I agree with John N. I run an educational web site and we used Blip to host our streaming videos, all in accordance with their terms. Just recently, I discovered that they were inserting advertisements before our videos -- we did did not authorize this. Worse yet, for some videos, after watching an advertisement, a message appeared saying the video the viewer expected to watch was unavailable! When I went to our Blip.TV dashboard, I found there was no apparent way I could opt out of the advertising. For those videos that were "unavailable" and not playing properly, I thought that I might upload new versions to see if that might fix the problem. But my dashboartd would not let me remove the old videos. More puzzling, the videos that weren't playing properly when embedded in our site were playing just fine on the Blip site. The "Contact Us" link had been removed, so there was no east way I could ask for help or explanation. My assessment is that the new Blip is buggy, the people who run it don't abide by their published agreements, and their service sucks dead toads. If you're looking for a host for you videos, look elsewhere.

Blip.tv will crush Youtube as Blip is feature rich, allows longer video content than Youtube and best of all is there are no bots or nasty mentally deranged children screwing it up.

I have fallen in love with this site. I love that there is no "flag spam" feature which is so patently abused by nasty users on Youtube who will go right for that flag like a moth to a damn flame when they don't like your content or are jealous for your creativity. Many good folks have had videos deleted and their content gone forever because of the abuse of that miserable button. Not on Blip as Blip is way more friendly to those providing content to the world.

I simply can not recommend this site enough. You can even choose your video format. Use the player that YOU like. Choose Flash, Quicktime and others.

4- Video Playback Options.

9- Video Descriptions
10- Video Quality
11- NO DAMN FLAG SPAMMING ABUSE!
12- Blip unlike Youtube will actually respond to user feedback.
