Bought a few from them and no complaints. Love the YouTube videos! Big fan. Kurt and Dallas are very entertaining and try to never s miss a single video
I ordered a Boker Plus Black Widow from them and recurved it more quickly than other knife stores closer to my home. Great service. Will do business with again.
We had a great experience from the day we ordered. Everything was packaged, nothing damaged and received within a few days from ordering.
No complaints from us
I hesitate to admit I have bought several hundred dollars worth from BladeHQ. I carry a knife in my pocket at all times, excepting my pajamas (most times. An old man without a pocket knife is like functioning with nine fingers. All my purchases with BladeHQ were 100% on customer service. One time I sent one back for a full refund—they were nothing but courteous and professional.
People who have had a negative experience tend to complain louder than a satisfied customer; thus, I see BladeHQ has the ridiculous rating of 2.5 or something here. That's such hogwash that I felt compelled to share my opinion:
Would recommend BladeHQ to my own mother, or daughter, or friend as a sure way to obtain legitimate versions of top brands of knives, especially Spyderco, Benchmade, Buck, Boker, or WE brands.
I had my credit card info stolen just days after ordering from BladeHQ not once but twice. Happened a few years apart. Will never order from there again and I don't recommend you do either.
Despite the negative reviews I got exactly what I ordered within 6 days of ordering. I'm satisfied with this purchase.
Regret not having read reviews before ordering. Most reputable merchants do not charge until the item ships. This merchant bills immediately upon ordering. If there is an issue such as an unwanted substitution, defective knife, etc they have nothing to lose by delaying or denying a refund. Even if you have to resort to disputing the charge with your CC company they still have nothing to lose.
I bought a Blade HQ Benchmade 940 Osborne M4 Exclusive online. Paid for it and received a receipt but they cancelled it. Ruined my kid's birthday! Caveat Emptor!
Short and simple. Needed an order here by a certain date. Paid extra for shipping to assure it would arrive on time. Two days later, it still has not shipped. They should be refunding me for the shipping since it will be late now.
8/13/21 I ordered a Bear Ops Bear Swipe lll knife. I received an email with all the transaction details, and the expected arrival date. This was on a Friday. On Monday 8/16/21, my knife arrived in the mail. I was really surprised I received it so quickly. The knife was exactly what I had ordered. Very nice craftsmanship and quality from the original manufacturer (Bear and Son Cutlery). My first purchase and expierience with Blade HQ could not have been better. I will be using them again for my knife purchases.
Started slow with one knife to see about quality and make sure I didn't get ripped off with fakes or bad website. All has been good to go for the past 2 years and about 1500 dollars spent. Only 1 call to customer service (my fault for the cc error) and was taken co very quickly because I had 48 hours to catch my order because of my cc error.
Blade HQ is a great website, all is as advertised (price be dammed so shop around, but I don't because quality is expensive and you get what you pay for) and I will definitely use them again.
DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY
Purchased a Benchmade knife $250 that was missing a screw for the clip. They would not send me the screw. I had to send the knife back. They then denied the return because of "use". I sent it back within 24 hours of receiving it and never used it. They are sending me back the same knife... still without the clip screw UNBELIEVABLE!
I have only had negative experiences with blade hq I have ordered a few knives from them and there is something always wrong with them. Yes you can return them yes you get your money back but what is the point and what is the price you get for the amount of time you waste waiting for the items you purchased. Also on top of everything they had a sale on the Norse hawk by cold steel for 6.99 mistake or not the order was put in I waited over a week just for them to cancel the order and then make me WAIT then when I call to find out what's going on they say "I can not help you I have no idea why that would happen". And let's all not forget the hacking they had and everyone who did business with them within the last 6 months potentially has had there identity stolen. This is what you get to look forward to when you deal with a company like them. So if I was any of you I'd definitely use any of the many much better and safer knife dealers. Better quality and better service
I ordered a microtech beard comb from Blade HQ. It was my first time using them and I'm very disappointed with the service. Their quality control is terrible and customer service isn't much better. I ordered and paid for a microtech beard comb with the burly blend at almost $400, which it said was in stock. They shipped me out the beard comb with the Celtic fire blend and when I called back and said it was wrong they told me that they were out and they just decided to ship that one anyways without even asking if it was okay. Secondly and more importantly, the date code on the knife did not match the date code on the certificate of authenticity plate. When I called back to try to get this rectified, I spoke with Kelly originally and she tried hard to make it right. All I asked was that they send me a shipping label to return the knife and I would ship the knife back and once they received it, send me back the correct one. They told me they could not do that, they could only refund the money and then I'd have to repurchase, but then it takes 8 to 10 days for them to refund the money. I would have to spend another $400 ordering what I had already ordered in hopes that it would come right, essentially being out almost $800 while waiting to get product in hand and refund. I was told a shipping label would be sent, did not receive, I then contacted them again and spoke with Heather and she said she is sending a return authorization now.
This is unfortunate, I have a huge microtech collection and I had plan on buying more from them, which unfortunately I will not do in the future. I would recommend going elsewhere to buy your products due to the fact the quality control with blade HQ is not very well, or the customer service and how they handled it.
My order reference number in case anybody wants to check at blade HQ is BHQ-*******
I ordered a Benchmade 51 through BladeHQ on a Friday and promptly emailed them to send me the shipping information when it became available. Anticipating that it would not be shipped out till the following week, I was not surprised when it did not ship for a few days (in-store location closed on Mondays).
On Monday, I checked in via email for updates.
The evening of the following Tuesday (4 days later), I noticed that it still had not been shipped.
On Wednesday, I sent another email out and gave their in-store location a call and found out that my order had been placed on hold because the shipping and billing addresses did not match. Mind you, their website gave no indication of this occurring. After explaining myself, the released the hold and proceeded to ship the blade.
My order arrived the following Monday, 10 days after it had been ordered.
In summary, their service can be pretty frustrating. They never responded to any of my emails or alerted me of issues with my order. Fortunately, their merchandise is legit and at the end of the day, they are a reputable knife dealership. If you are not in a rush, I would recommend this company.
Was going to buy a hinderer xm 24 was described as od green with black titanium back price of 635 justified when I called because the picture looked like regular stonewash all the sudden their description changed when I canceled my order they charged me a restocking fee! The knife described ow sells for 595 on every other website and they are trying to double screw their customers they already made 20 bucks on me and if the next guy buys it they will have over charged their customers 60 dollars they have to be getting rich screwing people!
Ordered 3 knives (2 as gifts). After 10 days of not receiving my order, I reached out to the company. Apparently, my order had been cancelled due to a fraud alert, but that did not stop them from charging my card. They neither called nor emailed me to inform me of the issue. While they did offer me a store credit, that only forces me to buy from them and place another order. Not without getting my refund first! I'm convinced this company is a scam until I actually receive my refund.
Take a look at my review on March 20th. About how they are no better than children at running an online business, then read the below. It's an email i received from them after only one botched order.
Seriously folks, go elsewhere. There is NOTHING they offer that can't be had somewhere else, or just go without

What happened?
An unknown, unauthorized intruder or intruders appears to have gained access to our hosted website servers and uploaded malware to our website www.bladehq.com, potentially gaining the capacity to "skim" customer transaction data as it was being entered by the customers purchasing or attempting to purchase our merchandise. Our investigation indicates that the intruders may have had this "skimming" capability from January 7,2021 through March 22,2021 and on April 11,2021. The attackers may have gained access to customer transaction information if the customer entered new or updated information at the site during that time. Because you entered or changed your card information or personal information at bladehq.com during the suspected period of intrusion, we are notifying you about this security incident.
I did some stabbing test on a phone book and it held up nicely. It opens very easily and quickly. This would be a good tool to keep in a go bag or when you can't carry a gun. As a last ditch effort this would be a wonderful tool to have in your pocket in an emergency.
Bought a knife that was defective and asked for refund. The refund was approved but a month later they still have not issued my refund? When contacted only thing they say is that it has not been processed! Wont be making any other purchases on BladeHq
Did $5 preorder. Charged card just fine for $5 then when it came time to finish sale card shows up as unable to process. Checked card and plenty of room on card. Then changed card just in case and it shows up as went through then I signed off then checked later and website acts like nothing changed. It's back to previous card and says unable to process. IDK if they sold more knives in preorder than they had or if they just planned on never following through on order. I know it's only $5 but if they did this to multiple people they made plenty of money for nothing at all. This seems suspiciously like a scam. Not cool and I will not take part in any preorder again. Maybe they taught me a lesson in not trusting this company with anymore of my money. That will be the last they get from me and I will also encourage my boys to not shop with then I will tell anyone who I know that they iffy want to buy from a different company then I will put this review on every review board I find for blade HQ
Answer: Hi. All restrictions are built into our checkout process. If you are able to successfully check out, we will ship it. :) Unfortunately, if you can't checkout, then that means that we will not be able to ship it :(
Answer: Not easy, contacted customer service had no response in 2 business days.
Answer: Hello! Give us a call or an email with your order number and we can check on getting a return initiated for you! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
Answer: I wouldn't order from them at all. They lied to me about fulfilling an order.
