Lol, Are you serious?!? I entered my basic information to create an account, and then started creating a profile. Simple enough... They ask you to enter descriptions in three basic sections: "Ice Breaker", "About Me", and "About My Match". What is nice about this page is that it also displays an auto-generated "search results" page with a list of "click-able" profile pics, while you're entering your descriptions. This is a nice touch, as it made me feel like "okay, this might be a decent site". Well of course, I happened to see a profile pic that was appealing to me, so even though I hadn't finished entering my responses, I decided to click on it, to see the profile.

Well, when I clicked on the search results profile pic, it brought up the profile with additional photos. Ok, the profile page is nicely laid out with additional photos that are exactly the same size as the search result pics. BUT, when you click on one of the profile pics to see the full-size image, guess what? You have to "upgrade", i. E. PAY, just to see a clear, full-sized pic. Say WHAT?!? C'mon now. I have NEVER seen a dating site attempt to coerce you into paying, by refusing to show full-sized profile pics. I mean NEVER! And I've seen it all.

But that's not the "grubbiest" of the money-grubbing. Oh no sir. The worst part is that there were at least eight pages of "search results", but the site will ONLY allow you to view the FIRST page. In other words, if there are 100 results, you are only allowed to view the first 16 of them... UNLESS YOU UPGRADE!

Did I mention that you cannot even enter search criteria UNLESS YOU UPGRADE?!?

Lol... Ok, this site is completely absurd.

The fact that NONE of the so-called 4 and 5-star reviews here mention any of this, makes me doubt the credibility of those reviews. I mean, that you can basically do NOTHING without paying, makes this site pretty unusable, because most people want to at least get an idea of whether there are any potential matches on a site before actually paying for a subscription. By the fact that you're only able to view the first page of results no matter what "filter" you click, pretty much makes reasonably checking out the site impossible.

As I said, the site actually LOOKS very appealing, but I suspect there's not a lot of substance (or members) once you get past the surface. I mean, why go to such lengths to keep keep people from "trying before buying"? Bottom line: Am I willing to pay for this "dating site"? Uh no... That's going to be a HARD pass for me.

P.S. I went ahead and entered short descriptions just in case that was why it would not let me see anything (It wasn't). Guess what? There were already two messages in my in box, from two members who couldn't even wait until I completed my profile before putting in their bids. Apparently, I'm even hotter than I thought! Too funny!

Nowadays it is almost impossible to find a good black dating community. Let's be honest here, most of them are a waste of time. BlackSingles4u and BPM may have their issues but you won't find any better black dating communirty. No complaints, many members, easy to use, not expensive.

Been on and off BlackSingles4u for a while and it is one of the two dating sites that worked for me. Ain't no site for casual dating though. If ya looking for no strings attached action better go somewhere else though (CasualSexOnly.com will help you in that case). But I've been looking for some nice girls for serious dating and met many interesting members. No Mrs Right yet but certainly works.

Best African American dating site I've used but some really strange guys. Ladies: Report them to the admin team as soon as they get pushy. They will take care of them. Beside that nice people. Been on several dates and one guy looks promising.

Memberships are overpriced. You can cannot get past the first search page without upgrading. Search filters can use work. I didn't have a photos and some scammers send first messages right away. They constantly autobilled your account monthly. Check your statements or get a prepaid credit card.

Well, this site ain't perfect! I have been using it for like 4 weeks and I have seen some fake profiles. But at least some nice women on this site. After all, it may be the best black dating site, at least the best I have used. Met up with three chicks so far. All of them were superhot.
