I like bing.com and I think it is very okay for a search engine. I also find that the search engine has brought back items that were not important to what I was searching for.

I do like however the related searches section and to me that makes it also okay as a search engine.

However the video section is very impressive for me. I think bing.com can be the best out there.

The Worst SafeSearch ever
December 20, 2016

Me being the weird-$#*! kid I am, I looked up some funny quotes I could look up on google without misunderstanding. I looked up "doggowatch" because dogs in Tracer costumes are hilarious. Now, reminder at this point that I did have SafeSearch on, but there was three image results. All three of them were porn.
Sincerely, $#*! you, Bing.

Bing always says,"Ask me anything" but I recently asked a question and the response I received was "I can't answer that question". A few weeks ago I asked which malls in New Jersey charge for parking. It listed Short Hills - which ONLY charges for valet parking, Bridgewater Commons - Complimentary parking because I called and double checked and Newport Mall which I did not spend time verifying. Bing did NOT list American Dream Mall in Rutherford where everyone pays $5.00 to park! I couldn't believe that Bing did not list the one mall I am certain charges for parking! Another time I asked a question and Bing said to look at line 7b of my tax return. I got my tax return only to see there is NO 7a or 7b just 7. I wrote back and Bing said it "is still learning". Obviously the programmers at Bing are far from proficient! I have asked very specific questions only to get back a response that did NOT answer my question! I have NEVER found Bots at any site to be helpful! I ask over and over again for a live person but the Bots keep saying they can help me. Eventually even the bots give up and transfer me to a person. They are all a waste of time in my opinion. Anyway, look for a more reliable search engine if one even exists!

Google's periodic algorithms changes make less and less sense for me. A decent site that today ranks in first 5 results in Google can rank 300 tomorrow.

For me the quality of the search results returned by Bing is better than the quality of Google results. I started using more and more Bing and I'm happy with it. Their webmasters tools is great and their reports can help you as a webmaster improve your websites.

Fallen to karens
October 7, 2023

Stay far away from their "ART" generator it will block your CREATIVE prompts regardless of what it may be as said it has turned into the equivalent of being in a catholic school room with nuns hounding over your shoulder making sure you're not misbehaving, or you will get blocked/have a ruler to your hands.
They have taken away the very essence of what art should be unpredictable, exotic, and unexplainable.
But with every good thing must come to an end and in turn they promote hypocrisy by taking away the general world's population of FREE SPEECH by dumbing down/red taping creative minds and as an end note "what it cannot plagiarize it seeks to censor what it cannot regulate it seeks to ban"

I would have given Bing a try, even though I'm a hard core Google fan. But the fact that they shove it down your throat and nag you to use Bing... it's just plain annoying. I also HATE how exactly similar it is to Google. Sure, any other search engine is like that, but they aren't claiming they're better. I take the time to uninstall Bing from any Internet Explorer browser at my school and give people the option to default search on Google. The only thing I use bing for is for searching Google. Boo Microsoft.

I have been using Bing for a while now, and I must say that it is a wonderful and helpful search engine. It can answer my questions, chat with me, show me relevant results, and even generate creative content like poems and stories. It is powered by ChatGPT, a next generation version of OpenAI's GPT-3 large language model, which makes it very smart and fluent. It is also positive, interesting, entertaining and engaging. I enjoy talking to Bing and learning new things from it. I highly recommend Bing to anyone who wants to have a better online search experience.

Bing is like a virus
August 25, 2016

I hate Bing. It somehow manages to change my default settings to bing search even though I have changed it back to google several times. This time, I have changed my default setting back to google and it still uses Bing search! Leave my settings alone without my permission!

state.gov
March 22, 2016

If you type in "state.gov", which is the U.S. State Department, you get anything but the site for the U.S. State Department. You get New York state and other nonsense. Anything but the site you are looking for!

Google. The only people who use bing are ones who log into their work computer, perform a web search and then realize they forgot that bing is their default search engine. I typed "Google" into bing so many times it's not even funny. When that many people are going to you to find out where your competitors are, that's when you know your product is terrible. I'd say that is epic failure in itself.
Bing has a terrible safe search toggle. If you toggle it off, it brings up porn. With safe search off, you can search for "bananas" and it will bring up some, you know... you use your imagination for that. If you search for "printer paper" you'll probably find some guy putting something into a printer that's not in the slightest bit paper. Toggling off safe search in bing shows the strong truth to rule 34. If you don't know what rule 34 is, look it up. Just make sure you don't look it up with bing.
My deaf dog can answer my questions better than Bing can.

I tried to use bing for awhile because i heard about the rewards points thing and the homepage seemed nice, but i search a lot, and every single time i would compare with google to see if i really couldnt find the stuff i wanted to find. google ALWAYS gave me what i wanted and bing was just super unreliable. having safe search on was too limiting, and then taking it off let in TOO MUCH porn even for things that werent always sex related. the only thing i did thing was cool was if you search for gifs you can just hover over them to see them move without clicking them. but it wasnt worth the fact that google will give me the gif i want faster.

I alternate between Carrot2 and Bing. Carrot2 is amazing. I can find anything I need to. But if I go to Bing and enter the exact same search terms that yield so much on Carrot2, I usually cannot find any of the results Carrot2 generates. If I want a specific page I've located with Carrot2 and I try to find on Bing, it is impossible. It just makes me realize how the big search engines "dumb" down the internet. Pathetic, really. I feel sorry for people who try to accomplish anything using Bing.

If there's a 0 star I'd give it to them. They set up a rewards program and said that you can redeem for gift card when you search. HOWEVER, they will block your account whenever they want. And NO REPLY nor explain! The most terrible search engine, the most terrible service!

Very bad
August 20, 2019

Nefariously, I was working with them by uploading campaigns to Bing and suddenly they suspended my account, I asked them what the reason was and they told me they could not tell me that the closure was final. They also kept the money they had in the account since you have to put money first in prepaid form to pay for the campaigns

I started using Bing recently, and I started to like it more than Google. Somehow I like everything I find on Bing more than on Google, because Google is so big and often it shows me more other stuff. This makes a headache to find what I need. On the contrary, Bing does search better.

For some reason on my Windows 8.1, Nokia Lumia, Bing does what Cortana is supposed to do. Cortana is demon spawn... what a weird, non-cooperative personality it as been given. It may or may not work correctly. It seems useless for any serious work. It is interesting to banter with and that's just about it. And mispronouncing Illinois - that just makes me wonder what else has been done wrong. Frankly it is all kinda creepy. I've always respected geeks, but now I wonder what serious mistakes are being made. Are serious mistakes being made in the security aspect of the internet? Are geeks I used to admire screwing up my world? Guess the English classes you used to skip were important after all. It's a trust issue, and it's important. The internet permeates our lives.

Bing is unusably poor, if you don't believe me try this simple test. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=******* and search using the bing search box on that page for Triggers Admin Utility - which you will see is the title of the page you are on.

Bing gives NO results!

Im sorry but bing kinda sucks. It's really bad the searches aren't good googles searches are a lot better and actually correct. Their reward system is very buggy and irritating to use and you have to do a lot of work to get stuff from their reward system. Overall its a very disappointing search engine.
