I have ordered five bikes from bikesdirect

Every time it was the the same; great price; tracking email at once; bike delivered in perfect shape; setup and assembly no problem -- and bike same quality as the best offered in any bike shop at half the price!

I have told friends about the site who have had the same experience; so why not spread the word on the net? Bikesdirect is the real deal

So far I cannot say anything good because Bikesdirect online does not accept my Visa credit card which is in good standing. BD is supposed to have a phone order line, but I got to an answer machine that says they will call back. Called four different times for no answer. NO call back in 4 hours. Their work day ended at 4 PM EST, and I didn't hear from them. They may be a good deal. But so far I have no deal. No deal is better than a bad deal, I guess.

Bought a triathlon bike from Bikesdirect a few mos ago. Can NOT beat the deal I got. Site is 100% legit. Bike came in a box and I had to put together myself... which was ez. Took to a bike shop for a tuneup too b/c gears were skipping, but minor adjustment and all good. Performed great, no issues! Great bike, incredible deal, I am upgrading to all carbon soon... and that bike will DEFINITELY come from bikesdirect. Hope I have the same experience again...

I thought it would be great to have one of the new Fat Bikes for riding on the beach. Local bike shops thought so too; but all their fat bikes were over $1500! I can not afford a toy like that.

I decided to try online; found some low grade stuff like mongooses at about $300; but I did not want to buy into troublesome low end junk

Found a nice gravity fat bike on bikesdirect and decided to give it a try
I sure am glad I did, spent under $600 and got a bike that seems nicer than the shop bikes that are $1500

I love it and I love riding on the beach

What amazing customer service! "Karla" is the best there is. She walked me through the entire return process like I was the only customer in the world. You don't find that very often anymore. I will never buy a bike anywhere else. BikesDirect is the BEST! Thank you so much, Karla!

I recently purchased a bicycle online via their website. There is zero support during weekends and after work hours and they only communicate via email which makes communication that much harder. They claimed the bicycle will come 90% assembled and this was not the case. It was more like 70%. Had to pay to get this assembled. Given the lack of specs during purchase, only after assembling the bike did i realize this bike was not suitable for me. The support team were super unhelpful after I asked them to contact me via phone and get help on returning the bike. I would have to pay a bike shop to disassemble the bike and package it and understand there is an additional cost for the UPS return shipping label and cost if you do not return it in the original box - mine was damaged and hence cannot be used for returns. I absolutely do not recommend purchase from this site given all the hidden costs associated with it and the complete lack of support/ service they offer.

Dana- we are very sorry you had a bad experience. Specs are clearly listed on each sale page. If you had questions, we have bd4salesteam@aol.com that answers email questions even on weekends. We do clearly state our business hours and we do have a phone line for weekdays. 904-249-2453 M-F 9 to 5pm EST. It is best to inspect the bike before you assemble it. Many customers choose to assemble their own bikes as it is pretty easy and saves even more cash. Most customers assemble their bikes in 15 to 30 minutes. We send many helpful video links in the tracking emails and have email support available at bd4servicecenter@aol.com for tech questions. If you can email us your order number, we'd like to see if we can change your mind about your experience with us?

So first bike came damaged by FedEx clearly... contacted bikesdirect and quick response the following morning we established the return and replacement. New bike came and easily assembled, tuned the front derailleur and brakes and can't say how pleased I am with it... would and will certainly buy another from bikesdirect.

My daughter Mylie wanted a 29er bike which I had no idea what that was. So I went to Amazon but those bikes were either too much or seemed junky. The trek store wants almost $1,000 for one.
Long story short a google search found Bikesdirect and I got a 29er with hydraulic disc brakes like my husband motorcycle
Way under half the price of the bike shop and several hundred less than any similar Amazon mountain bikes
Very happy

I purchased a road bike with some guidance from a friend who has more knowledge about bikes than I do. The bike arrived and box was just fine. My friend helped me assemble it and we were both impressed with the quality of my new bike for the price I paid. I would recommend bikes direct to anyone.

Had a super experience with BD - bought a Night Train Bullet after looking at other fat bikes in my local stores. I wanted front suspension (Bluto) as well as better hydro brakes and drive train. Nothing for the price I paid would have come close in the bike store. When I first researched BD I was looking for the scam and there isn't one at all. Check around, they are legit and you will end up saving and being happy!

I recently purchased an electric bike from BikesDirect. I installed the bike per what little instructions were provided. When I tried calling the Bikes Direct helpline, I received a "Message full" notice and was asked to call back later. I emailed Bikes Direct about the electronics issue I am having with the bike and he replied with instructions on how the peddle needs to be put on counter clockwise. Huh? I've already ridden the bike but cannot get the electronics to work. They have sent me a couple of emails saying the bike doesn't work they responded they don't open the boxes and don't know about the bike. The suggested that I take it to a local bike shop to determine what's wrong. Lastly, I am not a one time customer. This is the third bike I have purchased from BikesDirect. Fortunately, on the other two I installed without incident. If you need help you won't get it. STAY AWAY!

I have bought three bicycles from bikes direct and have been very pleased with the quality and value for the absolute lowest prices. I had an issue with a damaged fork dropout upon shipping and was immediately refunded the cost of the part. I had an issue with the back wheel with the same bike and Larry totally hooked me up with not one but two brand new vuelta pro rims which arrived in the mail 2-3 days after I emailed him. Outstanding! Thanks guys, Im sure I will be buying bikes from you for the rest of my life!

I had my doubts. I hoped it would be acceptable. But it is so much more. This bike is awesome and I saved $1,000 over what people here wanted me to pay. O got a gorgeous Motobecane Sturgis Bullet. She's a fatty that rolls over everything. And she is my pride and joy. Bikes Direct is the real deal, friends. They are working for you. They did for me. The bike is better than promised. This bike kicks $#*!!

If you know what you want and are handy with tools, great place to shop. Most people expect a ride ready bike and hence issues arise. YOU are the "middle man". You need to go over the bike carefully like your local bike shop would. That is why these bikes are such great bargains and lbs are so expensive! I've purchased three bikes from bikesdirect over the course of three years- two motobecane and a windsor. Could not be any happier.

Both my husband and I ordered Mango Macaw cruiser bikes. Initially they did not have a copy of my online order. I emailed them and they responded. I paid through pay pal glad I did. She contacted them, gave pertinent info. Both bikes were delivered the NEXT DAY! Great service and wonderful bike.

Blown away!

Blown away! I ordered a Motobecane 29er for my daughter for her birthday. Bike came in a few business days (free shipping). It took me 20 minutes to put it together. I did a test ride and everything was perfect! We got a $600 bike for $299 and no hassles. My local snobby bike shops won't even talk to me when I walk in the door. Sorry guys; your loss.

After reading a few negative comments on some bike forums I was a bit weary of buying a bike online but I didn't have the money that my bike shop was charging for a similar bike. I emailed the sales department and asked my questions before I ordered just so I had all my bases covered. When the bike arrived it did have a few broken pieces of packing material but I guess I got lucky because the bike did not have any scratches at all. My friend helped me put it together and I have already ridden it on some trails. Thumbs up two bikes direct for answering my questions and for the great deal.

I just want to mention that I'm satisfied with the ride and the staff was super friendly and helped pick the best bike for my needs, not for their sale needs.
This was for the BD at St Johns town center. Plenty of models available and let me test ride any bike on the floor, even the super sweet ones I had no intention of buying

After a lot of research and comparisons I decided to order the Gravity full suspension mountain bike. I was somewhat concerned in the beginning, buying the bike based on videos and pictures on line. The spec sheet on the website was perfect. I ordered the Bike Thursday Night, and it was delivered by FedEx Tuesday. Very easy assembly, and within a 1/2 hour I was riding. The next day I was on trails and the bike performed better than expected. I love the bike. Would recommend to bikesdirect to anyone.

I was concerned that I had entered an old address after I placed my order and Karla replied to my email so quickly that I barely had to wait two hours. She confirmed my order was good to go. Very impressed with the quick response and kind customer service associate. I have since received my bike and all appears well. Looking forward to assembling it tonight.
