Best on line ordering ever for me. Just type in the book title, author or what you like to read and everything is right there. Plus I feel great knowing that my purchases are help children reading programs around the world. What could be better than reading a good book.
Let't not forget the great cause they help fund literacy programs. The prices generally are better than those on amazon and other book stores, plus the shipping is free, so what more could one ask for.
I've purchased used books before though the description said fair. They were torn, dirty and written in. My book from here said good condition, it should have said "excellent". I'm so pleased! I plan to order again.
The last book I ordered appeared in my mailbox in a timely fashion and was exactly as described. Packing was rather minimal, but the book is a hardcover and did not seem to suffer. This was not my first purchase from Better World Books. I have also been very pleased with the books I have ordered in the past - three huge "coffee table" books about the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge filled with amazing photography. They cost $3.98 each and also arrived in perfect condition.
Ordered from the Uk was told at checkout there would be a long wait, didn't seem too bad for timing. The book was well packaged and in perfect condition upon arrival. I would use better world books again. No issues :)
Book arrived in perfect condition, just a few notes from the previous owner which I didn't mind. Overall a great service. It offers an incredibly wide selection of books which are difficult to find in Europe. I'm very satisfied. I've already ordered something else.
Books came quickly. Accurately described. However. Cookbook ordered REEKED of cigarettes. Airing it out for days outside, dryer sheets between pages, baking soda between pages made no difference. Can't be helped I suppose, but not a book I want in my home.
What books I purchase tend to come from Amazon or a brick & mortar store but decided to try BWB based on 1. Positive feedback from other users, 2. Price, and 3. Free shipping. Ebooks are great, but for real books you can't beat Better World Books. I recently was searching without success for an L. A. Thomas Guide map book in the old smaller format. The current editions of these books go for $34.95 plus tax.
I found what I sought here, and my total price for the purchase was $5.03—that's right, five dollars and three cents. This included an optional five cents for "carbon neutral shipping"; shipping is otherwise always free. Described as in "good" condition, I would have called the book's condition "very good"; aside from a few small library stickers on the cover (probably removable), I could hardly distinguish it from a new book off the shelf.
The icing on the cake is the outstandingly helpful and friendly customer service, in sharp contrast to so many customer "service" operations. Hint: Make a note of the customer service number, *******303, which is not easy to find on the website.
Got both of my books and they came in great shape! They also sent me a cute little email "from my books" beforehand! The best was that I could choose to ship in "more sustainably" Would buy from them again!
My books arrived in the condition that had been described. Yes, shipping takes longer than some people may expect, but it's free! I am a very patient person, so I was glad to wait for them to come. I will use Better World Books again and recommend it to others!
I love better world books and usually they are pretty speedy, as they were with the first half of my purchase, but my last book took 4 weeks to deliver, which was really late since I needed it for school.
I'm just glad I received my books in good order amidst this covid situation. Thank you BetterWorldBooks and the delivery team! Less one star though because some of the books were just a little bit dirty on the outside despite being listed as "good" condition (might be just me being paranoid also about viruses). Suggest to wipe down the books if possible. But the pages inside are generally clean and not crumpled.

I love using Better World Books for my book purchases. I always check their site first before ordering anywhere else. Most often have the best prices and I appreciate that they promote literacy worldwide. Delivery took a bit longer than I expected, but it was the holidays and bad weather.
This is an excellent way to buy books! Any book I've purchased has been good quality, arriving in good condition as well. Not only are they reasonable, but I know when we buy these books we're helping others. In addition, what a great variety of books, so many categories!
Managed to find the UK editions of some childrens' series, along with other middle grade books by american authors. All arrived safe and sound despite covid delays. The ones shipping from the UK did take 2 weeks longer.
I have ordered over 35 books through BWB. I'm aware of the way their shipping was handled, so I never expected my book to be delivered within one week. The longest wait I've had for my order was three weeks (usually my books were delivered within 2 weeks). However, considering their unbeatable prices and me not in any rush to get the books, I am still perfectly happy with their service. Also, their books' quality often appear better than described. One time I got a not-so-good book, I emailed them and within 24 hours received my full refund with the option to keep that book as well.
P/S - Props to the writing team for creating such a fun message when the order is shipped. I always enjoyed reading those :))
I'm so thankful I came across this site. They had a long lost book written by one of my ancestors. We'd been unable to locate it until now. I was a little worried based on some reviews, but the book arrived. It did take a while to come, but you have to consider that it's an international shipment which takes longer than normal even without the pandemic backlog. It's in great condition, and was an amazing price. I'd use this site again.
