The book took a while to arrive, but it had to be shipped all the way to Germany, so i'm not mad. My book is an old library edition and has all the stickers on it, but is otherwise in perfect condition. Would I recommend this business? Absolutely, the books are super cheap, and they donate part of their revenue. If you don't mind waiting a bit for your order to arrive, I think betterworldbooks is a great option!
Ordered a couple books for someone and they got to him very quickly and in good condition. I was able to get it shipped from an American warehouse even though I'm in Australia. The website is easy to navigate too and they follow up about your order.
BWB pricing is a great bargain, their selection is widely varied and any pre-owned books I've received have been gently used. Most importantly, my purchases contribute to the greater good in the form of donated books and literacy grants. I love that I can build a home library for my grandchildren that gives back.
I am happy that all of the books arrived safe and sound. It was a little confusing as the confirmation email did not mention the books would come in separate packages. I had to go back to check whether there is another package coming up. However, the books condition are fantastic. The checkout and delivery process is convenient and quick. Thank you!
The only site that still delivers to my country of Sri Lanka. I think they are doing a great job by helping people to get access to good literature. And it took only like 6 to 8 weeks. ( That's fast with the current affairs of the world) and books are in almost mint condition. Highly recommend!

I got so many used books that are in excellent condition for a fraction of the cost of what it would've cost to buy them new. I also received an additional 20% discount at checkout. You can't go wrong buying your books from Discover Books. The picture I've included with my review shows only a few of the books I purchased.
Books are always at least as good as described. Many would appear unused. The literacy program is one of the main reasons they are my first choice for used book purchases. Often times the books are ones that I have not found anywhere else. I mostly read American history and politics, and their selections are very good.
Better World Books has some great books that are harder to find for good prices. I just wish they would tell you if something was ex-library. I am trying to finish a series in a certain cover style. I don't want ex-library copies, but there is no way to know what you are getting.
Previous experience with BetterWorldBooks not so good especially in how sellers describe quality of book as well as whether in paperback or hardback. This time, seller was truthful and it was such a pleasure to deal with such people: Honest, hard working to make customers happy, and dedicated to books!
When I want a particular book, I can often find it at betterworldbooks.com at a very reasonable price. Often the book I receive was rated as being in "good" condition but is actually in "very good" condition. Usually - not always - the books arrive well before they were promised. The emails I receive from my books are a nice touch - playful in tone, they often make me laugh out loud. Put me down as an "Extremely satisfied" customer!
BWB went out of their way to make everything run smoothly; when one of the books I ordered got cancelled due to supply chain snags from the quarantine and a refund didn't make itself manifest, a quick email garnered a rapid response and everything was put right as rain. The remaining book which didn't get cancelled was in great condition, too!
As usual, I was able to find all of my selections and at great prices. The search function works well enough that I'm able to find the titles I'm looking for even though I'm terrible at remembering authors' names. Delivery was quick and I like the green offset option. I've purchased from them multiple times and have never had a problem.
One out of my couple-of-dozen books bought so far, didn't arrive and, simply by informing Better World Books of this, they returned my payment within a few hours.

I love the principles behind this store. The book is in great condition, was considerably cheaper than new. They donate a book to someone who needs it for every book they sell. Books were exactly as described. Both ex library but in good clean conditions aside from the library reference stickers. Took a month to arrive which I deem reasonable given distance and COVID-19 restrictions.
The quality of the books themselves is okay. They're used books. One came from a library the others just seemed pretty old but perfectly readable, no pages falling out, markings, etc.
However, the shipping did take an extremely long time, even for my country where the postal service is notoriously slow - approaching two months. Also the lack of a tracking number made me feel very lost and insecure as an obsessive checker. So good price, but if you were looking for something for the weekend or on a whim I might recommend another service.
Would rather buy used books anyway; this site lets me do that little bit of good for the environment, and it also donates books, in addition to having great prices, selection, and shipping. Well done so far, no issues.
