Better World Books

I love BetterWorldBooks. They are my go-to for just about any reading material I'm in the market for. Every order has arrived as promised, in a timely manner, and in good shape. I have never had a complaint and anticipate a continued good relationship with this vendor.

The best thing about this website is their emails. One of the first emails I received after I ordered my book was incredible, thoughtful and from the perspective Of the book. It was so funny I have saved! The company took really good care of me. I can not rave enough about how well they treated me. The book I ordered I could not find anywhere. Then I tried this site. Bam. They had it and at lowest cost ever! This is a site I'm gonna use for life!

The prices were amazing, as were the choice of titles. I found some children books that delight my grandson and my husband is happy with his selections. The books arrived in a decent amount of time, but I was very disappointed that all the Audio books titles I chose (and paid for!) were sent in print. One third of my order was for Audio books on CDs because some vision issues preclude me from reading print. When ordering, I made sure to use the Audio version of these book and verified that they were in my basket as such. I did not even receive ONE audio book! From other reviews, I noticed that I am not the only one complaining about this. I will not sure I will order Better World Books again. Too bad! There are other used books websites I can order from. I guess you get what you pay for...

I order at least 10-15 books a year from Betterworld Books. They have always been the quality that is given in the description. I order only Like New, Very Good or Good. I once ordered a book that had been out of print for about 40 years. It was mass paperback, intact, clean, very readable. Paperback books that old are most lilt to be browning around the edges. I was so glad to find it. More often than not I receive the book within 5 to 10 days. Thank you BetterWorldBooks.

Very pleased with the books I ordered! I was looking for used books to save money, and had about 25 in mind. While many of the books I was looking for were available "New", I found 7 books at used prices (all about $3/each!) all the books were in good condition, some even felt unread. They arrived sooner than the tracking expected, and I was pleasantly surprised when they fit in the smallest box possible, reducing the amount of typical waste I see from ordering online!

I have used BetterWorldBooks twice now, and both times it was a good experience. They deliver on time and the quality of the books has been good. It is nice to have a source of second hand books you can trust.

I greatly prefer using Better World Books to its massive competitor in the U.S. BWB has an excellent selection of affordable books that are in good shape. I am supporting small businesses in this way, and all the good things that BWB does with its income. One of my books even arrived with a personal inscription from the author. I would like to see more organizations like this.

I've ordered a lot of books through BWB. This particular one, Moonwalking with Einstein is about increasing your memory. It reminds me of the incredible deals on all things book that come through this place. Never had a bad or even remotely sour experience here. The fact that I'm making a tiny impact on literacy for others is enough to keep me coming back to BWB. The name fits more than ever. If I'm looking for a book I start here.

This is my third time purchasing from Better World Books in 4 years and I'm impressed.

My second order 2 years ago didn't came through but they were quite promptly in their customer service and refund process. However, I do love that I'm able to purchase second hand books from the site with no additional costs for shipping thus why I decided to bite the bullet and take the risk again in ordering again for the 3rd time, 2 separate times. And thankfully, all of the books came and still in good condition from when they were shipped, I can only assume.

I purchased a children's Christmas book. It was rated very good [condition]. The pages: one tear, all pages warped, smell of mold.
The book cover had a large stain on the back and the mold spots on the back were undeniable. If the rating by World Books had been fair to good condition I wouldn't have written this and given the company a 1 star. Lying is not acceptable.
I only wanted the book because in the early 1980's I wrote a rhyming play for children with talking parts, short dancing, and singing based on the idea of this book and I wanted to see how close it was to the book. Same idea but quite different except for using 5 of the Santa changes used in the book.
Question what Very Good condition to this company means.
