I have ordered books from this site for myself since 2011, and for the last two years I've ordered about every 6 weeks for my father. Not as fast as Amazon Prime :) but I've never had a problem with delivery nor with books received in unacceptable condition. (I choose books available from betterworldbooks, rather than from 3rd party sellers.) I love that I can give these books a new home and that I have the option to help mitigate the environmental cost of shipping with the carbon offset button. The detailed search capabilities are vital when I'm ordering my dad's books (large-print bargain bin Westerns!).
First time in dozens of book orders, I received a book erroneously. It took awhile but BWB sent me the correct book and I didn't have to return ($) the book not ordered. I really enjoy ordering my books here, especially to join the fight against illiteracy. Everyone deserves the joy of reading!
Have been using Better World books for years. I started when I was an instructor at a local community college. Now that I am retired, I still order books. Easy, inexpensive and fast shipping.

I love having a physical copy of my favorite books and sometimes they are hard to find at local stores, especially older books. However, I was able to order the rest of two of my comfy mystery series for so cheap! Even if they are library editions, they are still in great shape!
I am so glad to have a source for affordable and good quality books. And I am especially delighted now, when our libraries are closed, and I need to stay home, and bookstore shopping is not at all an essential task! And how great to help fund an excellent literacy program. Thanks again!
There's a huge selection of books to choose from, prices are low, books are usually in good condition, there are no shipping fees, and I'm helping literary causes around the world at the same time. It sometimes takes a while for some of the books to arrive (sometimes even 6-8 weeks, even though usually the books are delivered much more quickly, in 3-4 weeks), but the delivery has always been reliable.
I looked around all over for a website that sold used books for a reasonable price, and landed on BetterWorldBooks. I liked the prices, they were without a doubt cheaper than any other website. The shipping was free, which was great too considering that multiple books are pretty heavy.
I only have great things to say about this company. I love that they help different programs, and it makes me feel good to order through them. I received my books very soon after I placed my order. The books aren't in perfect shape, but that is too be expected when you buy them used. I told my husband, I will never order books from anywhere else!
I absolutely LOVE the Indiana based business! Not only do I love to shop local, but for every book purchased, they donate a book! They had a wide variety, shipping was free and fast! I've just found my replacement for Amazon!
I love this site. I do care about it - a great source of the book's world. The last order completely came as planned. Sometimes the books are missing during the shipping process however this company is always stands by its obligations.
I received 3 out of 4 books that I ordered relatively quickly, but the 4th one took forever--almost a month. I emailed Better World Books, and they were extremely prompt in addressing the issue. I was very impressed with costumer service.

I live in France and order from Better World Books all the time. They ship for free and often have books that are hard to find. Their mission to help literacy world wide is what brought me to them in the first place. The only downside is that it always takes a long time to receive the books. They say 10 to 20 days but it's always at least 20 days. But I put up with that unless I need the book immediately, then I go elsewhere.
I love just about everything about Better World Books. Great selection, great prices, fast free shipping, and for every book you buy, they donate one to a literacy program. I've been doing business with them for years, and have bought 180+ books through them. On a couple of rare occasions when I was not satisfied with a purchase (through one of their affiliates, not Better World itself,) Better World Books was quick to either find me a replacement in better condition, or refund my money.
Five stars for Better World Book's mission, selection, clean packaging and shipping, service, and sense of humor. This is how every business should be modeled. Thank you, BWB, for being leaders in how to be successful AND help the planet. It is possible!

This was my first order from BetterWorldBooks and it won't be the last one. The book arrived in much better condition than I had expected for the price (10 and a half dollars), and though the delivery lasted almost a month, it was well worth the wait. It hasn't any sign of use expect two university of kansas stamps, I couldn't find underlined places and the cover shows only slight damage, which is completely irrelevant. I'm currently awaiting another book from BWB, though its condition almost certainly won't top this one's.
I've been ordering from BetterWorldBooks for over a decade. I've received a few books that were "loved on" but it doesn't bother me. Up-cycled books help the environment. I find that I read more because it costs less. The prices, selection, shipping, and customer service have been great. I love that the purchase of these books helps a bigger cause.
The books I look for are not usually at my local library. I can usually find them secondhand on better world books for a lot cheaper than brand new. It takes a little while to deliver to Australia but I am happy with that.
I received a long awaited book. I could have gotten a new one, at a store for just a bit more, but have always had good experiences here.
The first one that arrived was damaged. I called to inform them that this was only one of several I'd bought in this shape. I called the post office to complain, with no luck, as presumed it was carriers fault.
BWB rep stated they would send me a replacement and that it was a "new" copy. I received the second in worse shape than the first. It was not new by any means.
I feel I was lied to.

I do appreciate the rep trying to help me, but quite disappointed in what I received.
I ordered like 30 some books for $3-$8 a piece and then there was an issue with one of them but it was out of 30+ books. I love how they donate books when you order and I will be definitely coming back again.
