After setting up the clock, the music didn't play and the dancers didn't dance; it was very sad. I watched the trouble-shooting videos which were complex for a beginner and called for bending metal wires. Before I attempted to repair the clock, my wife pulled gently on the music weight and that started the music; it has been running well ever since. It was not a good first experience. However, the clock is beautiful and reminds my wife of her mother who was form Bad Tolz, Germany.:-)

Great customer service. Answered our questions over the phone with no pressure to buy. The customer service agent also provided us with the contact information for a company that sold replacement weights, as we had lost one for an old 1950's cuckoo clock during a move. We ordered and received that weight and now our 70 year old clock once again ticks.

Delivery was fast. We were given a tracking number and could follow the path of our clock.

The clock arrived with our certificate of authenticity and an instruction book that walked us through the set up of the clock, and it was easy to follow. The clock itself is absolutely beautiful, the workmanship and detail is amazing. It is something we are going to be proud to leave to our children and grandchildren.

I am a first time buyer. I did not know much of anything about cuckoo clocks. After educating myself I picked BavarianClockWorks to get the real, authentic black forest clock. Easy checkout, great website, very informational.
Only issue I had was when I received the clock we wrapped it as it was a Christmas gift. When my wife opened it Christmas morning all the heads we broken off the men on the dancing figurines. Three of the figurines were not even on the wheel but loose in the box. It was an easy fix as they were clean breaks and I able to match them to the right bodies and I used a drop of superglue to bond them back. Then put them back on the carousel wheel. Can't even tell they were broken. The clock is absolutely amazing, the wife loves it.

It was packed perfectly -- no chance of breakage, and I got it out of the boxes and up and ticking and cuckooing in just a few minutes with the enclosed instructions. Charlie was very helpful in giving details about the specific cuckoo clock that I like. Bavarian Clockworks.com has the lowest price. I was very excited that my order came very early. But I wasn't able to open it yet because of the ongoing kitchen construction. With the busy holiday season, I'd probably open it and display it in our newly renovated kitchen after Christmas.
