This is the third book of a trilogy that I have read by this author. I find his writing easy to read and the involvement with the main character captivating. Anyone who served in the military would enjoy this book. I look forward to reading this authors next book soon.

I've ordered multiple Claymore manga for my girlfriend and so far 3 of them have had pages ripped in half. I ordered myself the Claymore box set and just got to volume 17 which has 2 pages ripped out so I decided to buy another Volume 17 to replace it and now that package says it delivered 2 days ago but it hasn't and they're not responding to any emails about the situation. Don't buy here. Go to books a million instead.

Once, many moons ago, I felt quite adventurous, so I stepped outside my humble adobe to embark on a beautiful journey. You see, dear reader, I was tending to my typical duties of watching anime and eating my top-notch ramen. My waifu was looking quite exquisite and alluring in her kawaii maid outfit. Heh.
As I saw the entrancing entity, she hypnotized me, sinking her venomous fangs into my eyes as they poured out adoration. The beautiful creature whispered to me, her whispers like gusts of wind brushing against my beard, singing, "Buy mi merch."
Without hesitation, I raced to my car with my katana as I smirked. Beware wretched beings! Today, I shall bring her home and sing her my sweet poems.
Faster than the speed of a Naruto run, I arrived at the mall. Colombia mall.
My journey both began and ended at Barnes and Noble. Ah, yes. The store for intellectuals.
"Yare yare daze…" I sighed as I saw the tragedy collapse in front of me. These bakas have no idea what kind of material that manga stores! No, no. They are about to unlock Pandora's box to my beloved manga.
"Hey!" I shouted, striking my fearsome Jojo pose. "Don't touch that beautiful artifact you nicompoops!"
Heh. Let's just say those bakas won't be going near MY waifu again! HIYAH!
Sigh. I wish this worthless establishment encompassing my oh-so-precious manga would ensure that no villains could taint my valuable waifus. -_- Derp. I'd sign up to be a knight in shining armor for my waifus, weebs, and fellow otakus! Oh, well.

BN used to be a reputable easy book ordering company to work with. I've had a gift card and have ordered a few books recently and the delivery time is awful with no updates on their website. I paid for expedited shipping and still am waiting for my order 3 days after it was promised. I would never order anything from them again and it makes sense to just go to Amazon who at least values its customers. BN has closed most of its brick and mortar stores and should do the same with its online retail.

I ordered 2 BOOKS, just 2 simple novels from Barnes and Noble days ago. STILL NOT PROCESSED, and definitely not shipped. I've reached out to 'customer service' (which is anything but) several times, but to no avail. All they can say is "it's up to the warehouse and they take 7 days to process. Your order can take 3w to be shipped". WHAT?! For 2 BOOKS. I checked and Amazon has the books in stock and would deliver in 2 days. I will NEVER order with BN again. No sort kf customer service at all, then when they close down, they'll look surprised.

I was so excited to receive my order of four books from Barnes and Noble. I was disappointed though, when I opened the box. Each of the four books was torn up and ripped. I very seriously could have received better condition books used. I can at least return my books to a store, but my shipping won't be refunded. I don't think I'll be ordering online from Barnes and Noble again. First and last time for me, which stinks.

Tip for consumers:
Keep in mind that you are not sent their highest quality items. You’ll get what you get even if it’s in awful condition.

Normally I would buy books online however I got tired of receiving them damaged. Bent corners, etc due to cheap plastic shipping wrap.
So I bought a book from Barnes and Noble.
New. Drop the money, get new with no issues.
I drive 110 round trip miles, plus $4.15 a gallon.
Book came in damaged.
"We can help shipping" I'm told.
Bummer.
I got 20% off but who cares, corners still look like they were chewed off.
Oh well, back to Ebay I guess.

I have been a Barnes and Noble member for years. $25 a year, auto-renew. I had continued doing business with them throughout this time. Back in March, I purchased a few books through their online site. That's how I know they had a current credit card on file, for purchases. In April they emailed me that they would be changing the membership system. That new memberships would have all kinds of bells and whistles but the cost would increase to $40 a year. That same email also said however that I could continue my current membership without the bells and whistles for another year at $25. They offered. All I had to do was allow the auto-renew go through in May.

Now it is June and I went to make a purchase only to find that my membership was listed as "expired". I investigate further... there was never any auto-renew and all my current account information online was retroactivated to data from many years before. The only credit card listed was from 2016, the address they had for me, I moved away from in 2019. None of this makes sense because as I said before I had just made a purchase in March of this year, my address and credit card information were current and would've been set up perfectly to renew my membership at $25.

I sent all this information in to customer service, including screen shots of the email they set me. They refused to even address the email offering auto renew for $25. Simply apologized that my membership "got expired" and told me to sign up for their "free rewards".

I believe they did this to break their contractual obligations of my previous membership that they were required to otherwise follow. As long as they could auto-renew they had to maintain the original conditions (because I signed up a long time ago when they were far more favorable than they are now). Wiping out my old data, even though I have proof on my account that I just made a purchase on my current credit card, sent to my current address, stopped the auto renew, which allowed to them "legally" break the agreement that grandfathered my account in.

Barnes and Noble is showing their dishonesty. With all the options out there to buy books, games, and coffee, I don't need to give my money (in this difficult economy) to a company that is going to be so obviously dishonest. And these kinds of behaviors are the soft signs that the company is going downhill fast. They will be cutting corners in other areas too. Do not trust them or their quality. And honestly, if I were you I wouldn't touch their new membership program... I don't trust them to honor it.

I went there Mar 23,2023 and realized the whole store seem to change by where things are as well as the CS - Darryl seem to outgoing to customers but when I came up, he seem judgemental, not very friendly with me. I wasn't impressed with him.

I went today to purchase a book that came out 2 days ago. Now I had ankle surgery a few days ago and obviously and struggling to walk. I couldn't find the book in "New Releases". I could not find a single employee to ask, so I stumbled to the check out desk and asked the 1 worker. She said they had the book way back in a different section and called someone to bring it to the front. She was told the copy they had in stock is being held for someone. That seems very strange since all the "Hold" books are in shelves behind the desk where I was standing. Why would this book not be with others on hold, and why would this not show up in the computer when the girl checked? Seems like the second employee didn't want to help out. They offered to order the book for me, but I declined saying I could order it on Amazon for most likely a lower price. Indeed, I was able to order this book $10 cheaper and will get it faster. Customer service at B&N has declined to the point that I don't want to shop there anymore.

Worked hard on a book knowing I did not want to meet the usual gallery of rejection letters from publishers and agents. I signed up and went through all of the rig-a-more-roll of downloading W-9 form, creating a vendor account, giving out banking info and formulating a book cover. Spent 3 or so hours putting it together. Got notice hours later stating my book was now available for pre-order. I always experience hard times with these types of endeavors. True to form I get an email the next day stating my book was taken off sale because files 'were not uploaded' by February 14th. I created it on the 14th. Then I sent an email to (*******@BN.com) It's two days later with no response. I'm anticipating I won't get one and will have to go back to cussing out pusblishers and agents who don't want to work with me. Of course they don't supply a phone number (always a red flag). When you call you get a worker for 3 dollars an hour from the Philippines (red flag #2) who has no answer for your problems. The only thing I can say is...I put no money into the endeavor. If buying is like trying to sell...I wouldn't buy from these guys based on my experience as writer.

Verified purchase

I ordered a gift card before Christmas, it was supposed to arrive at the latest by December 30th. It never arrived. Then I saw it had updated to arrive by January 5th. It is now January 7th and I still have not received it. How hard is it to ship a gift card?! I have family that has not received their Christmas gift from me and now I'll have to email them an e-gift card. Very disappointed with Barnes and Noble shipping. I LOVE this store and I will still go to their stores in person, but wow. I will not order online from them again. I'd give them 5 stars if it weren't for shipping.

I'm very disappointed with Barnes and Noble. I order a book that I wanted to pick up at the store. I picked a store near by. The site said the book was available at that location (Nashua NH). I was placing the order after hours so I didn't expect a response saying the book was available to be picked up that night. Not 10 minutes after placing the order I got an email saying sorry the book is not available at my chosen store. I could try another location or have it shipped. So I tried placing it on Salem NH since they said "in stock." 10 minutes later I got the message that they didn't have stock. Okay 1 store the inventory is not accurate. Same message have it shipped or try another location. Are you kidding me? 2 times is all you get and I go to another store. Not Barnes and Noble. Try to reach anyone to get help with a store that really has the book is not worth it because they gave the same crap that I saw online.

Tip for consumers:
Don't trust the "in-stock" on the website.

Wow, Am I super glad I got a kindle instead of a nook. You can't even get a full series of books in most cases on a nook. There is no audible option to go along with it. They are stuck in the 90s when killing the competition was easy for physical books. You couldn't even walk into a barnes and nobles today and buy a full series of books. Amazon has every book in every series available in a day or two at your doorstep as a mass paperback option for relatively cheap. This reminds me of that tom hanks movie "You've Got Mail" except tom hanks is now older and he's slowly selling his shares of his bookstore because for some reason he can't hire people and make sure that they have ebooks and audio books available, as well as the option to have any book shipped to you.
