MISLEADING
December 23, 2019

MISLEADING. The exact words on their website are "We're so confident you'll win business with your first credit pack, we'll return all your credits if you don't."

That is NOT the same as getting a refund. Once you've sent money, you're never getting it back. They will keep resupplying you with credits, assuming you want to keep investing time and effort on a process that didn't work.

Could be worth it, if you know going in that's how it works. But they don't RETURN your credits (as in, give back your money). Instead, they RESUPPLY your credits (as in, give you the credits again).

And while they do provide listings for a lot of services, they don't provide listings for ALL services. And it's not like you can add your specialty. You have to choose from their menu--and you don't know what that menu until you buy those credits.

In addition, I recorded their "discounted initial credits" offer on 2 Dec 2019 as $72.50, in the spreadsheet I use to track expenses. When money was deducted from checking account on 14 Dec, it was for $79.20. The person I spoke to on the phone insisted that was the amount specified on the website, but his response does not agree with my recollection.

It sounds like there has been some confusion, so hopefully I can clarify for you here.

You are correct that we do not offer monetary refunds on used starter packs. The idea behind giving the credits back is to allow professionals to have another chance at a return on investment and to properly grasp how lead generation works. We appreciate that it an be difficult to understand to start off with and this is why we offer this credit return if no work is won the first time around.

We do provide a listing of over 2000 professions and you dod not have to purchase credits in order to update or see these listings. Just login to your account, go to Settings and then My services to see what is available and to update anything. We provide the most searched for services online, but we don't have some niche services as we have no online traffic as yet to support those being added.

Contractors beware

They ripped me off, show me a bunch of leads that were not verified or not any good, then when I called them to explain the situation they try to talk over me and tell me about their guarantee, stay away from bark they are ripping contractors off, they're not trying to grow your business they're trying to rob your business J&D handyman service Newnan Georgia

The clever approach on their part is that they answer the phone the first time you call and then never again!
You get a "free" fake client who explains that they are "not ready yet" (and they never will be) and the next leads you buy will explain that "it was a mistake" or "a friend made the call for me, I don't want it" and then you look at the BBB complaints and they are like these ones here: TERRIBLE.

Bark is not a solution for entrepreneurs. A lead that cost me 38 credits of a person named Paul (see below). This person told me that 'he was just testing the system' then hung up. After buying leads from Bark since last 3 months (with no conversions) I felt it was time to request a refund. So in good faith i spoke to a lady called * at Bark explaining the situation. This was her reply

Hi Ali,
Thanks for your patience, I have tried to contact * over the course of the last week, unfortunately, I have been unable to get through to him.
As I have not been able to confirm he has changed his mind, unfortunately, I am unable to return the credits.
All the best

Beware Fake

Thankfully we did not pay for Barks services, this company is full of lies each time we got someone wanting a photoshoot it seemed weird. We found someone searching for photography recomended by bark.com, we contacted her directly as we found her on facebook and she replied yes she was searching for a photographer, when we asked her to fill out the inquiry form, she stated she didnt know how, so we asked her a couple simple questions to fullfill her needs but she never replied, we then gave her our webpage and buisness number letting her know she can call us for her needs, she never did and never replied back. They all do the same, Complete Scammers. Dont pay for bark.com services. Its heartbreaking to know that people do these kinds of things.

It seems that you have not actually used our platform fully. Firstly, we do not have "fake " leads. All leads are screened by an automated system, and we have a credit return policy which covers any contact details which are not working. We feel this is the fairest system we can have as we are not a commission based system that guarantees work, and only provide contact details for enquiries placed with us.

Billed on the front end, and not too sure it's monies well spent. I get no direct leads because I don't show up in searches. Recently learned that you have to be subscribed to the Elite Pro service for an extra $30/mo to show up as a provider. 'Opportunities' can still be purchased and contacted, but I wouldn't consider them classifiable as warm leads. There is no indicator of a read receipt, and I am measuring only 8.5% response rate from leads I have responded to: 40% of those just to say "no thank you". Prospects are technically 'warm' but the Bark traffic seems to be mostly 'looky-loos' that are completely unaware that there is a fee to providers, because they don't even bother to respond. Also, Bark advertises Elite Pro includes a 1-on-1 consult from their advisers to optimize ROI, but all the agent did was say, "yup, your profile is completely set up. You're good to go!". The first month for Elite Pro is free, so I highly recommend signing up for that at the onset to see if there is any potential benefit investing in Bark - instead of 2 months and $hundreds later.

Scam artists!

The site will take your money and you may get some fake leads, they do not give you back your money as they state in the policy, if the phone number in the Lead rings, then you will NOT get a refund.
Just got one from Jessica Reec. This is fake, just look at the WhatsApp pic, not real at all! The person will never answer the call, email or WhatsApp.

There is more satisfaction to pay for the lottery and win nothing instead of paying for their service. When you register and pay for their service, they set your account on auto payment as a default. Also, they say you give your credit back if you get no clients.
When you realize they charged you over and over again, they make you beg for your money, really begging them. I contacted my bank and told them the story, they put this company on their blacklist, but when they figured out I complained to the bank, they asked me to close my case at the bank and they will provide me with the full refund. I closed my case, but they made me beg them for more than one month, and because I closed my case, I had no other choice, and they said I should have known that the default is on auto payment, and I should have turned that off.
Also, they advertise they provide you credit back if you didn't get customers, but what they mean is their fake credit for contacting customers, not your money.
And, there is no explanation that credit back is one-time use, and they don't care if you didn't get any customer.
Trust me, any way to find a customer is better than this site.

I signed up as a professional on Sunday. Purchased credits to be able to to contact potential clients and I received zero leads.
After just 6 days, I received notification that my account (credit card) was charged to top up my credits. I did not authorize this transaction, not to mention, I had 8 more credits on file, which it seemed to have "disappeared" from my account, but it wasn't. It appears this company used my last credits to bid on a client's ad, WHICH I DID NOT DO, and automatically charged my card with additional credits.
Stay away from this company. Also, check your payment settings. They do not advertise that you will be automatically "topped up" or in laments terms, credit card charged.
I am convinced there were no real clients. I tried contacting a few clients and I was not able to book any clients. I had a lead and followed the guidelines to contact the client directly, scheduled an appointment with the client, only for the client to not answer any of my calls or emails.
