JUST DON'T BOTHER

My day in hell with this company is just too long to go into.
Suffice it to say that - by my fourth phone call, I finally called to cancel the order. This call was made on Tuesday at about 5:00 to cancel an order due to be delivered on Thursday. The "manager" (yeah, right), refused to give me a cancellation confirmation code because he had to "run it by the boss for approval"
I asked when I could expect a confirmation - and he said someone would contact me in an hour or so. Obviously there was no return call - so I called at 8:00 this morning (Wednesday) and lo and behold... there were NO NOTES about me cancelling the order and now it's "too late because they're due to be delivered tomorrow" - are you surprised yet? Because I'm not - he did it on purpose because their cancellation policy is 24 hours from the time your ordered it... UNLESS it's for the same day or next day delivery. So he decided to scam me. My bank has other ideas LOL - there's a dispute on file now for the charge and they're good at this.

DO NOT USE AVAS FLOWERS! My daughter suffered a great loss and I live 3,000 miles away. I called and spoke to a representative and ordered sunflowers and tuberoses as they have special meaning for my daughter. I asked him to check the stock to ensure this is what could be sent and that they be delivered on the same day. He assured me that they had those flowers and that they could be delivered. They were not. I received an email that night saying sorry, we couldn't deliver the flowers. Then when my daughter did receive a bouquet the next day, it was a scrawny pile of pink roses and snapdragons with one puny sunflower shoved in the bottom. It was awful! After MANY, MANY phone calls, they finally said, tough, we didn't have the flowers you wanted so we just substituted what we had. They would not send a new bouquet of sunflowers as it was against their policy. They had NO heart and NO customer service. I will never use them again. They basically lied to get my order and then blew me off. We were already in the middle of a heartbreaking experience and this just made it so much worse! When she told me it was just their policy and that they couldn't do anything about it, I said, well, maybe you ought to think about putting people before your policies.

Horrible experience

My friend was kind and thoughtful and ordered flowers for me. I have a busy week due to being in an accident, with doctor's appointments and other things to attend to. We'd scheduled for a delivery between 3 and 5 today. I was home. No flowers. At 5 PM, I called customer service. They said the flowers were ready and would be out for delivery in the next half hour. I waited until 5:40. No flowers. I called again. They said the florist had tried to deliver and I was not home. NOT TRUE. I had been home since 3. Then they said the florist would come back out and deliver them. I asked them to give them my cell number in case they got lost. By 7, I still had no flowers. I went about my evening. Still no flowers. I'll never use them again.

Do not order scam!

I wish I would have read these comments before ordering! I paid for flowers for a funeral that never got delivered! Days after the funeral they called me, The customer service rep told me the supervisors were too busy to talk to me and laughed and hung up on me! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

After reading multiple poor reviews I tried to cancel my order and was told I would be charged an 18.00 inconvenience fee. The rep then hung up on us, and the flowers were delivered anyway despite the cancellation. Ordering for out of state, I didn't know they weren't local, and contracted with local florists as a service. I found and contacted some real local shops in the area who confirmed that Avas was a scam. Specifically, that Avas will overcharge the customer for an arrangement and order a much cheaper one through a
Local florist, pocketing the difference. That they use taxi cabs to deliver arrangements, and the local florists dislike working with them. The florist told me the names of tje three local shops I could call to find out what was really sent. I found out that my bouquet was processed through a Safeway. I called the store and found out my close to 100.00 purchase netted a $50.00 arrangement, Safeway said they added some additional flowers for free, knowing that Avas shortchanged me and because with what Avas paid them, It wasn't possible to meet my expectations.
I was unable to cancel my charge by contacting my credit card, as they require that the charge post first, before opening an investigation. It's unlikely to work in this case because they did in fact get something delivered And the excess charge is easy to bury in a a situation like this, There will be a disclaimer that the substitutions are acceptable, etc.

Easy solution is to google the name of a local shop and call them directly. The shop will want to uphold their reputation and there will be no broker fees added. More for your money, and accountability if something goes wrong. Very unhappy customer Please save your money!

I'm very disappointed with the $44.99 arrangement I ordered for my parents. I wanted to use a local florist and they totally dropped the ball. When I complained they only offered me a $10 credit towards a different purchase. I spent time carefully selecting the "everlasting soothing lavender" bouquet and what was received resembles a two-day old supermarket bouquet. There is absolutely zero likeness to what was advertised on their website. I spent $60 after taxes and fees. A complete waste of time and money!

Ordered same delivery for birthday surprise. Delivered 24 hours late. The Pastel Purple Bouquet was ordered and delivered flowers looked nothing like it. Not one single purple flower. They lied and said via text order was delivered to the business address on 2/19 at 4:50 and it was delivered 2/20 at 3:35. I am requesting a refund. I tried to add photos but could not upload.

I had ordered my girlfriend flowers and a stuffed teddy bear for valentines day (2019). Not only were the flowers not what I ordered, the $20 bear never arrived. Dont worry though, i was definitely still charged for it.
I tried calling them a whopping 8 times and sat through the extremely long answering machine just to get put on hold until the machine asked me to schedule a call back time.
Its no surprise that i never recieved a call back.
So i emailed them and i got a kickback that told me that i can expect a 5 business day wait before someone got back to me.
I understand that it can get busy during the holiday season but thats no excuse for the horrible service and lack of customer support.
Do not order from Avas flowers.

I ordered Valentine's Day flowers for my wife to be delivered to her school and they were not delivered. When I needed to contact them, their customer service was horrible. You cannot speak to a human when you call. Do not order flowers from here!

STAY AWAY! HUGE RIP OFF!

I had ordered flowers to be delivered to my daughter at IU, Bloomington. The flowers that she received were NOTHING like what I had ordered from the pictured website for Ava's. When I called to dispute the flowers (and forgotten balloon) I was told that they were sorry and that I could have 15% off my next order. Are you kidding me? There isn't EVER going to be a next order. When I contacted the "local" florist they told me that Ava's had specified exactly how many flowers to put in the vase and that was it. Complete joke! The first pic is what my daughter recvd - 2nd is what was promised for $109.00

Very disappointed

I orderd flowers on line picked the large paid 87.99 dollars and when it was delivered my daughter send me a pic of it and it was very small not what I orderd or paid for their very disrespectful snd doesn't respond to their responsibility I don't recommend ordering flowers from them they rip u off very very disappointed

I will never in my life use this company again. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. I ordered flowers on 1/8/2019. They were delivered on 1/21/2019 to the wrong address. Their customer service is worthless. Don't set up a call back or email, because they don't answer. I ordered $90 worth of flowers to get maybe $20 worth of garbage. Don't use Ava's

No customer service; don't bother setting up a return call. Delivery was a nightmare, calls, texts, more calls. Awful! In the end, 75$ of flowers left outside without a knock in -10*.
Your return will be a Herculean Task. % of refund is minimal due to excessive charges and fees. Just the WORST experience EVER ordering flowers. Do NOT trust the reviews/rating posted on their site. Shame on you.

Called to order a season greeting bouquet for someone special for Christmas for $44.96, long story short, ended up having $72.69 removed from bank account. Had to call for receipt only to be told for the first time about card fee, now fee and service fee, which was not disclosed at the time of ordering. Then once I received the receipt only total of the order was on the receipt and not totals of each fee. Asked to speak to a supervisor was told there was no supervisor which I find hard to believe. Asked for a refund due to the lack of disclosure and was told couldn't do. Embarrassed to ask the recipient about the flowers as they were probably half dead if the quality was anything like the customer service. I would advise everyone to save your money on these flakes and order from a local well known florist!

I made a mistake of ordering from this company, I got a text saying, the flowers was delivered. I called my friend to verify but they had not been. I finally got a hold of someone after trying several time and being hung up multinational time, I was also transferred and then again being hung up on! After I finally getting a hold of some one they wanted another 20.00 to deliver the flowers. Order at your own risk!

I ordered flowers for my friend who was retiring. The order went through and the flowers did not arrive. They did not call back, and when I finally got hold of someone they wanted more time to contact the driver, and still no call back. I called a third time and was on hold forever. They make it very difficult to get through to anyone. They promised me they would resend the order but could not tell me whether or not it would be delivered today or tomorrow. This has completely spoiled any surprise and I am still waiting. Based on this experience I would avoid Ava's like the plague and never use them again.

Scammers - Avoid!

STAY AWAY - AVAS ARE A FRAUDULENT COMPANY!

Avas Flowers are fraudsters and thieves. They aren't a florist, they're a call centre who sub-contract work out with massive profits lumped on. They missed the delivery date for my order, a date they themselves offered me, then when I cancelled my order, they called my girlfriend (ruining the surprise) and asked her if she would still like them, even though she had nothing to do with it, I was paying. After I cancelled the order they left the flowers at the front door without even ringing to bell - my girlfriend was in but came across the flowers abandoned outside - and now Avas aren't replying to e-mails. The only thing they were able to do efficiently was take the money out of my account, avoid this company!

A ZERO IS MORE LIKE IT!

On November 4,2018 I placed an order on avasflowers.com. I paid $68.43 for a flower arrangement called Autumn Splendor. The product description stated this: Celebrate the coming of Fall with our Autumn Splendor bouquet. Shades of orange in this lovely arrangement come together in this low vase to capture the spirit of Autumn. A unique and beautiful arrangement to send, this will become a favorite for any occasion.
I recieved a call the morning of November 5,2018 from their company stating that the orange roses are not in stock, and asked me if I would be okay with them substituting the orange roses for another Autumn colored flower? I advised him that it was fine to substitute the orange roses with another type of flower or Autumn colored roses. I specifically asked him if the vase that the arrangement was going to be in was the same vase that I ordered? He said it would be. I told him I was fine with the change as long as the vase was the one pictured on the site. That afternoon the recipient sent me a message thanking me for the flowers. I advised her that I was going to come by and see them when I got home. I walked in and saw the flowers and was immediately floored! I asked her if she was sure this is what she received because she had other flowers from someone else. She said it was. The flower arrangement she received was totally different than the one I ordered! The flowers were all different colors, not Autumn colors, and the vase was a tall clear vase with some burlap ribbon around it. This is definitely not the one I ordered. It looked like an arrangement I could buy at my local Walmart for $10.00. I sent them a message and they said they would credit me back 10% and a store credit of $10! I will never use a store credit because I will never use them again! Save your money and don't order from them!

The photo with the orange arrangement is the one I ordered. The other photo is what I got! Totally different!
