What is up with substitutions, I ordered a mixed bouquet arrangement and it came with some differnt colors than what was depicted. I now the the website said some substitutions migt be required but that is for other people not me. I dont care if you have to drive 500 miles and pick the flowers yourselves I dont care. Dont give me give the Covid-19 excuse everyone knows that is just a goverment scam to gain more power over us. Just get me the exact flowers that I ordered even if someone else gets the virus that is not my concern.
I'm orden hearts for funeral and they send wherever the want something more cheap when the charge me 195 for something so diferente cost less money and trying to call customer service the left me at the phone for over 25 min no body trying to help me call 3 time and no help the have to refund the money so bad company
My flowers have not been delivered yet and I ordered them on Saturday morning. I read there Covid policy on their website and noted that delivery was on a flex schedule and could arrive onm a range of days. The flowers are for Mothers Day so regardless on their staed policy they should be delivered on Mother Day. I gave them a full day to get the order to my Mom but nothing yet. This Covid thing is getting me upset and I dont understand my it should be difficult to get flowwers delivered.
I ordered flowers for a friend that had surgery. I googled florists in Elmwood, Illinois and Avas came up. My fault for thinking they were local. I called and placed my order and was told they would be delivered that day. The next afternoon I was told they would not be delivered for another 4 days and that they would upgrade the flowers for the delay. I called and said I wanted to cancel and was told I would be charged $18.95 service fee. At that point I told them to deliver the flowers late because I was frustrated. My friend sent me a picture of the arrangement that I had paid $58 for. It looked like grocery store flowers that had been thrown into a vase. The flowers werent even cut to fit the vase. And this was supposed to be the upgraded arrangement! NEVER order from this company. I learned my lesson!
Ordered flowers cost me $90. Shes got style Looked like garbage. Was nothing like picture ciuld have done better myself going grocery store and buying a $10 bouquet flowers were dead in 2 days. This company said they would get back to me. OF COURSE THEY STILL HAVENT thier lucky i even gave them a 2. Suppose free delvery. They charged me 30. Asked for proof lol its in my phone
I ordered balloons from Avas Flowers and the day they were supposed to deliver, I received a text that I needed to call the company. After sitting on hold for 15 minutes, I finally got to a representative who informed me they local center did not have balloons. They tried to sell me flowers instead. Ultimately, I cancelled the order, which they were happy to give, hence the one star. But they left me in a position where I couldn't get a replacement delivered in time. Wish I hadn't wasted my time!
I googled for a florist near Long Beach so I could get quick local delivery. Avas came up which was bogus. I ordered on-line at 11am for same day delivery. I received an automated text at 5:30 pm that the deliver will be the next day. I called and found out the order was given to a florist in Hicksville. I was promised delivery by 9 am. At 11 am I called and was told it will be delivered today. At 1 pm I called and was told the delivery driver was on the way. At 4:30 they were delivered. Next time I'll find a florist that is actually in the area and order by phone. Do not rely on this company
Called to order Valentine's Day flowers on the morning of the 13th. Girl taking my order said the flowers would absolutely be delivered on Valentine's Day. Got an email that said the flowers would be delivered on the 18th. If you try to cancel your order you only get dead ends. A complete scam.
I ordered a sympathy basket for $75. With delivery and tax it was $111. I was mortified when I got to the funeral and saw the size of the basket. The basket was supposed to be white and they put it in the black basket. It was supposed to be a tall spray of flowers and it was all one level in the basket. Definitely not worth the money. I tried to call Ava's flowers and no one answered. I sent an email and got no response. I called this a.m. and they said they couldn't do anything because it wasn't within 24 hours of delivery. After asking for a supervisor, I got $7.49 refunded to my card. I would not spend one penny with Ava‘s flowers ever again!
I guess I should have come to this website first before ordering from Avas Flowers. This company is horrendous. I ordered a floral arrangement and a full sized card to be delivered on Dec 20th. What was delivered was an awful looking poinsettia, no flowers in site and a hand scribbled note that wasn't even legible. I called customer service they said they would deliver an arrangement on Dec 26th in time for her birthday and here it is Dec 26th and still nothing. I can't even remotely recommend this company. DO NOT buy any flowers from this company.
I ordered flowers to be delivered on a certain day and they were delivered to the wrong address or not at all. When I called they said they had a signature from the person, however, they were never received by the right person. When contacted Avas Flowers they sent them out to the correct address the next day. I complained that they were a day late they didn't act like they cared. I believe I wasn't even talking to the florist themselves but a service for customer service. I guess they don't want the complaints.
What I ordered from Avas flowers wasn't even close to what I paid extra for.
Disappointed is not the word.
Paid for a plant with fall flowers, not one flower, smaller plant than what I paid for, not even moss to cover the soil.

What a horrible experience we had with Ava's! Guaranteed delivery on Friday- did not happen no one available to take calls- and then communicated through email it was delivered on Saturday- it was NOT -again no customer service available- finally delivered late Sunday and someone eventually called Monday
Will never use them again- they need to work with their customer service reps- ride and just talked over me
My experience is almost identical to most of these reviews. Ordered same day delivery, received a notification that ordered arrived but there was NOTHING. Still have not been able to speak to a live person. Run around automated system. I received generic emails in response to the claim I filed on their website. WOW WOW WOW HORRIBLE SCAM.
My mom ordered me flowers from Avas Flowers and they contracted the work out to A Passion for Flowers. She ordered them Wednesday July 29th. They told her they would be delivered first thing Thursday morning. When I left work Thursday afternoon she called me and asked me if anything was delivered, I told her I had not received anything. Here it is a week later and still no flowers. This company also told Avas that they delivered the flowers after 5 on Thursday and that I signed for them. Our office closes at 4. They also called my work and checked on our open/closing times twice. My mom asked to see the signature that I supposedly signed for and now they are not returning any of her calls OR Avas'. Avas told her they have to"prove" I never received the flowers. SERIOUSLY?!
NOW Avas and the flower company is not responding to her.
Ordered flowers for next day delivery and they weren't delivered. Spoke with customer service who assured me they would be delivered next day and still no delivery. Contacted customer service and they said they weren't delivered because store was closed that day. Why would customer say that if they were going to be closed. Customer service then assured me yet again they would be delivered the next day. Finally they did get delivered. Wasn't too thrilled with the extra fees at the end.
Neither pricing nor service is good here. Ordered on Saturday for same day delivery. It was assured on the phone by a staffer. "No problem, it will be there early afternoon." When I checked on the order on Sunday, I got a recording saying that it would be delivered on TUESDAY, or FOUR DAYS LATER! Screw that, I cancelled the order, and if my refund isn't timely, I will be visiting the BBB and dozens of other consumer advocates.
Do yourself a favor and visit any other florist besides this one.
The anniversary of my uncle's passing was coming up and I wanted to order flowers for my aunt to be delivered on the anniversary "day" of his passing as I knew my aunt would be sad & I just wanted to brighten up her day just a little. So this was very important to me and had ordered the flowers a week prior. The day the flowers were to be delivered, Avas Flowers had called me to say that the flowers couldn't be delivered until the next day. I told them this was unacceptable and explained the importance of the flowers being delivered on THIS particular date. The gentleman "laughed" and I was irate! Let me remind you that their website also says "same day delivery." So I said "why not put me in as a same day delivery?" He said they couldn't, and, without an explanation, told me to "take it or leave it." I also made a written complaint with the actual company and they NEVER responded. I will NEVER order from Avas Flowers again!
I wish I had read the other reviews before ordering. But they are deceptive and advertise themselves as a local florist. THEY ARE NOT LOCAL. You wont get what you ordered and you will be overcharged, i finally went through my credit card company and demanded a refund.
Far and away the WORST experience with a we based florist ever. First they couldn't make the arrangement I picked so I authorized a change if the delivery didn't change. But today I check the info and they moved the date by 4 days...NOT ACCEPTABLE. Cancelled the order and blocked their website...Screw a company that cant produce the results they promise
Answer: It's a scam. Very dishonest company. They advertise with a very detailed picture of their flowers, sizes and pricing. When my daughterv received these flowers they didn't look anything like the picture online. I wish I could attach a photo from my galleria for you to see. The picture tells the true story
Answer: I thought they were a local florist. Bc when I typed in the city and Avas Flowers popped up. They are NOT a local company and they are NOT a florist company per se. The Real business name is Flowers Tech Center, Inc... doing business as Avas flowers. They are out of New Jersey and they contracted florists in your local areas nationwide. They don't make the bouquets and the ones on the website are nowhere near to what you're getting. Which is CRAP! LEFTOVER flowers thrown together LAST minute and supposedly delivered fresh from their warehouse. FRAUD & SCAMMERS! Use your local florists or buy them from your grocery store which would be much better and NOT costly. Save yourself time, money and headaches from rude customer service reps and all you get is the run around and lies.
