I've never signed up to these %#*?! And they ignore ever email every call everything when I try to get refunded for a service I never and will never use. In their web site it's impossible to deactivate it cause I can't t validate a password I neve made
I have thoroughly enjoyed the quality as well as the selection on audiobooks. I listen to them from my phone so they are with me wherever I go. I've always received amazing customer service as well. I highly recommend them!
Will not do what they offer in their trial. When I applied for their trial service offering my card numbers they said they would allow me to hear at least three audiobooks. They did not. Do not give them your card #s
Audiobooks is an everyday part of my life. I love to read but don't have the time to sit down and read an actual book. With Audiobooks, I get the best of both worlds. The selection is huge and new releases come out weekly.
I was charged twice each month for two accounts I was unaware I even had after listening to one book and deciding the service was not worth the money. One account was never even logged into and has $45 worth of charges that they refused to refund, not to mention the $45 on the account that I did use one (free) book from. Abysmal customer service/policies.
My husband and I listen to audiobooks when we travel. We take several road trips a year and listen to our favorite authors as we travel. We like being able to preview the books and listen to the readers before we purchase. It is so easy to find a book or author when looking on audiobooks. We share ear buds and listen to books while flying. We happen to both like the same books. It is fun to talk about them and ask each other questions about parts we might not understand or opinions on the content. We love audiobooks. Audio fan.
I thought it would be nice to have a couple of audio books to listen to! But since I signed up... I have been debited again and again! I can't cancel my account and have sent several messages but no answer. My first book was supposed to be $5 but was charged $13! That was just the beginning. Bad Bad Bad scam company. As I said, every time I try and cancel on the site it tells me I can't!? What the ****

This was interesting. I signed up for a 30 day free trial. The app is unwieldy to navigate but I tried to persevere. It is the only app on my phone that continuously crashes and stutters. It made it awful to try to listen to the textbook I'd first chosen, so I tried to download a lighter book. I wasn't able to, but I'd found the whole app tough to navigate so I reached out to customer service. They explained that by "30 days" they actually meant just one book. Oh. That was disappointing. I said as much. "That seems shady and misleading. Where can I give direct feedback to Audiobooks?" And then they cancelled my account. From shady to sketch pretty quick there.

I ordered a download first. It was unclear weather it was actually a download due to no indication on the order form. I touched iOS download. Nothing happened. Found out I had to get iOS app. While getting app, download appeared to be happening. Tried to download after app downloaded. Nothing happened. Set up password, name for account. They don't work. All I have is order # *******. Each step above was frowght with multiple problems. I think I wasted 1 1/2 hrs w/ this again. Not good!

UPDATE: they do not cancel your membership even after you have cancelled, and they claim to PayPal that you authorized payments that you did not. I have used many apps and this is a first. They initially stonewalled & refused to refund, but after I sent several insistent emails & filed a formal case complaint with PayPal they did finally issue me a refund. There is something shady going on with their use of PayPal tokens though---they somehow are able to keep pulling out money w/o any previous authorization of recurring payments, etc. from you.
So when you cancel, make sure to call and get a written email of them confirming your cancellation. Also, change your PayPal password and notify PayPal about them. I am still spooked they were able to take out charges from my PayPal without any type of authorization from me (yes I know about preapproved recurring payments and this was not that). I have been using PayPal for 11 years and this is the only time it has happened.

I found out my card got an unauthorized transaction for 27 dollars from Christian Audio books which is related to Audio books. I never used my card to buy an audio book, I spoke to Colin the manager and he's honestly horrible at helping customers. Replies very late and when he would reply, he didn't provide much information. Like someone used my debit card to buy your stupid service. And speaking to the associates it's like they weren't trained to do much. It's quite sad and they need to be trained properly.
Unfortunately, i have been extremely disappointed with services provided. The only reason i subscribed to this website was that they had a book i was looking for, but after i subscribed it appeared that the book wasn't available in Australia. :( Beside that when i refer to the support team with questions, i was only only answered one question out of list of questions i had. Plus i find $14.95 is expensive for ONE book!

I was sort of hopeful at first, thinking this could actually be a useful and honest site for listening to books, but of course not. I tried to get the free book advertised STRONGLY in all the ads for this site but as soon as I put in my email and other information it was like a labyrinth had been erected around me. There was absolutely no way to find ANY more information about the free trial or free book and I am still lost, without an audiobook and about to move on to a more reliable audiobook site. Very displeased.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, use or sign up on this for any reason. They are just another scam website trying to get your credit card info and then leave you in the dirt.

My app on my phone never worked and no matter how many times I called in, they told me the same steps. I got charged for the membership that was suppose to be canceled after the free- trial due to the app was not working and was told it was my fault. However when I called customer service again and spoke to a gal she was the rudest person! She was snarky and flat out rude, it's not my fault that the app was not working and instead of working with me she blamed me. Really! I will go back to reading books the old fashion way at least when I purchase a book I don't have a rude customer services rep telling me it's my fault and then say " I canceled your memebership like 5 minutes ago if you would just look" nobody needs that and I will warn everyone on social media about your company.
Wrote email about canceling acc 4 times. Always got the same freaking ans. All over again. Doesnt matter what i wrote. Just same stuff from them. And i cant find that magical cancel button. I swear to got i will find unicorn sooner than this. Just want to cancel that sh*tty acc so they wont charge me for nothing

I had the same experience as Nicholus C. 7 months ago I couldn't find a account cancel button on their website and they kept billing my 85 year old mother's credit card account $14.95 a month since last year. I remember trying to do this earlier last year and was frustrated! I went on to their website today and magically, there was a cancel button.

Absolutely LOVE this app. Whether while I'm at work or in the car I can't imagine not listening to my Audiobooks daily. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy listening to books but honestly I wonder what took me so long to discover Audiobooks.
I guess I signed up for a free trial but struggled to download a book. This is not a user friendly website. I ended up paying twice for this stupid website and can only be refunded for one month of it. You need an app to download a book so you can't download a book on the computer, then it has to link up to the phone. It was very confusing. When I tried to explain how I wasn't sure if I even downloaded a book to the costumer service representative she was extremely rude and condescending. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Omg I love this app. I have always loved books. But I have a reading disorder and getting hard cover books is really hard for me to read. That's why i turn to audiobooks. But not all the libraries have all the books I want on audio. But with audiobooks.com I have acces to lots of books that I didn't even know we're on audio. So let's just say that my library is full and eger to read more.
I just have couldn't have enough of it. I read in the library and listen to audiobooks while communiting. At $14.95 for a book a month it isn't enough for me. I get over with a book in around a week. I usually prefer short books.
