Having been with AT&T for decades and retired, my bill just went up $50 a month. That is $600 a year... on top of the current charges. I called customer loyalty to see if there was an error in the bill. They basically said, "No." All promotions were ended and there were none available to me. In essence, they said --- tough luck --- just pay it. Why would I want to stay with this company? As soon as I can move to another provider, I will do so. AT&T... shame on you. If you had a minus stars rating, I would enter it. One star is too much for AT&T.

Greedy Big Bullies
October 17, 2023

First off I wanna start by saying that I am still a current AT&T customer at the time of this review. Buckle up. It's rough.

Let's start by the apparent lust for monetary manipulation on low-income customers such as myself. For the past year and a half I had been paying $80-$90 a month for just myself. This bill this past month is a whopping $185. And no one at the great corporate office can tell me why.

Secondly, the absolute audacity of threatening to shut off service after missing one payment for two days. Pathetic. In the modern day and age we all need our cellular service. I'm a truck driver and that's the only way I stay in touch with my family.

Lastly, AT&T is the absolute scum of the big cellular corporations in the US. The apathetic attitude towards customers, the lust for more money, and the worst attitudes given at stores. Really bad. Stay far away.

It's super hard to cancel my service, my phone call was answered by the AI for half an hour and was transferred multiple times. They even want to charge me $99 for checking the non-existing technical problems. Just do not choose AT&T, worst company ever.

So much I could put but I'll just say they triple charged me after paying my bill then they took an extra $721 on top of multiple $506 charges (3 today) I called 2 times today once was on the phone for over 2 hrs and this time she only wants to credit my account have and make me pay the bill again. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she is saying there is none available. I'm over this after 3 years of service with them we will be switching!

I just went through an ATT installation at my small business. It was the worst. Service calls missed, incomplete install, inadequate phone support, mistakes, mistakes, mistakes and zero flexibility in dealing with our hours. So we accommodate ATT. The phone team assured us the technician would ask about Covid, maintain social distance and wear a mask. Well, of course he did none of those things. And the install left us without phone service. Rescheduling was a bear. We could not be more disappointed.

My dad and mom had AT&T for twenty something years, paid $262.97 on 10-3-22 then on 10-25-22 their phones were shut off. Talked to multiple representatives that DID NOT help, so sunday went in to a store to find out that my dad who thought he had 1 account apparently has 3 accounts and they want over $800 to turn his phones back on. Needless to say my parents no longer will deal with at&t..

Horrible Service in General
October 21, 2023

Horrible service. I called them three times (took multiple hours each time) because our last bill came out to be 700 ish dollars. All three times, they told me that they will lower down the bill to about 200 ish dollars. But all three times, they never changed the statement amount. Like if they couldn't lower the amount, why didn't they tell me…instead, I had to waste 3-4 hours of my time contacting them. Before the 700 dollar bill, I would usually pay about 130 ish dollars a month. Then the very last month, they suddenly up-charged us by over 500 dollars. Do not recommend them. There are other services that are much more affordable and better (in terms of internet speed and service) than AT&T. If I could give no stars, I would..

I had regular AT&T internet and didn't have any major issues. Soon after converted and upgraded to fiber optic all went down hill from there. It is down almost weekly days at a time. No billing adjustments for the days it was down. You can't speak to anyone unless you stay on hold for an extended period of time. Terrible

Someone who needs it most, a single person or a retiree. AT&T charges outrageously high prices for individual uses, retirees included, in order to support the very low, fair & competitive prices they offer plans of 2 users or more.

Even if you make it to 55, the discount the apply is awful.

Scam!
December 2, 2020

Like many others have stated this company uses deceptive sales tactics and will rip you off! Got a tablet and was told one price and 3 months later got hammered with huge bills. The tablet is going back and they can take me to court to get their money.

I have called them 4 times and been on the phone for over 2 hours trying to get my trade in catch up credits. They are just too big and too corporate. They can't resolve a dispute between their own departments to take care of a customer. I have been promised the catch up credits by them but no one seems capable of applying them or letting me know what is going on. The last time on the phone they made it sound like my fault for following their process and wanted me to call to find the phone at their trade in company. Terrible customer service! Each time I have to explain the whole situation over to a new person who is then clueless chatting with back tech support and nothing gets done. They can't even call, text or email back with resolution. I have been a customer for 19 years and will be switching all 4 lines.

The worst company ever
August 11, 2017

I had a similar incident with the merging of Att and Directv. There customer service sucks and they treat you as though it's your fault. And they don't solve the problem THEY created. I moved in 2015 and closed out my bill (family emergency) they were so kind. I decided to go back when my situation changed a few months ago and with the split now they're charging me separately. It's a big mess. And treating your good customers like $#*! is wrong. I really want to cancel this

After being told my old phone trade in would be receiving the full $800 value on the pre assessment I was only to happy to take up this offer posting back my old phone. It then tock several weeks for there internal review once they received when I finally find out they gave $120 if I had known this upfront I would have passed. Won't be using them again unless it is an upfront value at a store. Not a happy customer!

Totally SCAM
February 23, 2023

This company is a scam! They sent us a bill for $2930 for international calls after 9! Hours of conversations with a million different operators promised to return, which they never did! After 2 months the money has not been returned. But the story is not over, today we received a new bill for 3600! We are in complete shock, but have already removed the auto payment. Tomorrow we are going to change company. If you want huge bills taken from your account without your knowledge, welcome to AT&T

Not acceptable
February 19, 2024

First of all I was flat out lied to by a tech in Fayetteville AR and tricked into paying more for trading in for a new phone. Now my screen is cracked and I've been paying for insurance for over a year. But they can't find a store within 60 miles to repair my screen. The want me to replace the entire device for $250. AT&T is a freaking joke. They are pretty much stealing. I will be paying these phones off and changing providers. I DO NOT recommend AT&T. They are the worst providers I've ever had. They also raised my monthly bill from $140 to $200 a month. And that's with my 25% veteran discount. What a joke

The worst customer service ever
July 23, 2022

Time and days wasted but hopefully I will get my other freaking phone number we have had for 44 yrs to a new provider eventually. Wasted my day again with a 31yr phone line today trying to get ported. I give them a F- with customer service and a A+ for causing mental anguish. They need to hire English speaking adults for American customers and you would think they were getting paid to piss off there long time customers. I can honestly say I have never been so dissatisfaction with a phone company and looks like another was great company gone to hell. Goodbye AT&T

I have spent 9 hours on the phone with these people. The customer support people are friendly enough, but it is difficult to ever get to anyone who can actually work out a difficult situation. I won't bore you with the details of mine, but the bottom line is that AT&T will not unlock your phone for any reason and the last guy I spoke to actually admitted that they are holding my phone hostage and even though I don't owe them anything, the only way I can ever use my perfectly good Iphone 6 Plus is if it is on one of their networks. Not gonna do it!

I signed up for a new account replacing cable and internet. The rep advised I would get a $200 credit for a new account. Instead they offered me other services which I didn't want. After complaining to lower management with no results. I mailed a complaint to Executive management. I sent certified to the Dallas corporate office. It was received. I never even got the courtesy of a reply. Don't try to call. You'll just get bounced from one person to another! I'm probably going to find a carrier who does whet they promise!

AT&T should be ashamed!
December 22, 2014

AT&T should be ashamed! I've had such a bad experience the last 2 weeks! Ordered a new phone. It was damaged and needed to be returned. I had to order another one and pay twice and wait for a refund... I never revived any return shipping label with my replacement phone! I've called 4 times and each time it's a surprise to them that I'm calling! Each time AT&T says" I'm going to look into this and I'll call you back" BS! I've never once did get a call back to fix my problem! AT&T got my money twice and now they would take fix there end! I'll be filing a BBQ complaint and checking with a lawyer on this scam! It's sad that I have to jump thru hoops and make complaints to get what's right! Shame on AT&T for you non customer service! Instead of paying for one phone it looks like I paid for two! Merry Christmas I've been cheated.

Called AT&T to set up a land line for my 87 year old mother. After 1.5 hours the gal from another country told me the line would be live in 5 days. 10 days later still no phone line. Called again and 45 minutes later still on hold. Wish there was competition
