I gave 1 star because I can't give a -0- star review. Dont pay for the protection on your phone. They do not have a place in Bellingham you can get support with that. No one in the Guide Meridian store will help you when your phone breaks. The warranty is not serviced in Bellingham, you have to wait a week or more just to get an appointment to get a phone fixed.
My husband and I came in with a phone that was broken and not useable - apps were disappearing and we could not get assistance with the store clerks and only option was the protection plan to try the warranty we bought. No appointment for a week. Only way we could get anything done was to buy a new phone. We had to move to another carrier just to have a phone to use. He can't be without one. We felt forced to buy a new phone after paying for a protection plan for 2 years and not being able to use it. This felt like a bait and switch tactic. No option for us but to wait.
We changed carriers just so he could have a working phone. AT&T is now charging us for the remaining month when they would not help us in the store. When I called and asked for help on the customer service line...I had to wait for a supervisor and she just quoted the contract language. Billion dollar company does not care about its customers. They have no problem overcharging. I would understand if the store had offered us a generic phone to use for the week or something. They did nothing to help us.
Buyer beware. T-Mobile has great plans and are much more helpful.

I am absolutely amazed that a company like AT&T turns a single penny in profits (their customer service is absolutely DESPICABLE). I opted to maintain my old Southwestern Bell landline (now owned by AT&T) to supplement my Verizon cell phone service (just as a redundancy), and REFUSE to play word games with the outsourced Philippino subcontractors. Good luck speaking with a human rep in the U.S., and good luck feeling satisfied with whatever you are paying AT&T for the hassles. I'll bet their employees avoid looking at themselves in the mirror when they get home.
At&t is quite literally the worst phone service I have ever had. They say they have all these things for military but it's a scam. I'm going on a deployment and because I just signed up with them on March 2nd 2024, I haven't been with them long enough to put my service on hold while I'm gone. Which means that I will be paying for a service that I can't even use. I can't even use their international plan because my phone isn't payed off which means I can't even get a sim card and use my phone. So yay. Luckily I had already been prepared and bought myself a wifi puck. But damn. Don't use At&t. Just use T Mobile if you are in my situation. I haven't ever heard anything bad about them. Also if you have kids and a family, I recommend not using At&t because I just spent 40 minutes on the phone for the lady to tell me all this. It took 40 minutes to figure it out. That's something the store should have been able to tell me. But whatever. I'm stuck in a contract so it's to late now. When I get back I am switching back to metro. Don't be a fool like me. I was paying $90 for 2 lines with metro and never had any problems and the service is great as well. But I thought I'd switch to At&t to find out that I'll be paying $160 for 2 lines now and for me to not even be able to use the phone.
So I purchased a phone and plan at a Walmart store that was an independent contractor for AT&T. They originally said that my bill would be $20/month and the phone was $147 so I would be billed $8 month for that making my bill $28. Then I receive my bill in the mail and it's $171! The service was actually $75/mo plus numerous fees so I immediately shut the phone off called the company and returned the phone because I could never reach someone at a Walmart store anymore. Now the phone has been off and returned to them for almost a month and they call me daily from different numbers asking me how I'm going to pay my $242 bill... I'M NOT YOU HAVE YOUR PHONE BACK AND I DON'T USE YOUR SERVICE AND I'M NOT GIVING YOU ANY MONEY!
Horrible, worse company ever. Do not get AT&T for anthing. I have Direct Tv/WiFi (mind you I have BASIC channels) I have to watch movies on Netflix. My bill will jump from $120 to $400 anytime for no reason. For the Las 3 plus months I have had zero bars unless I'm attached to my home wifi... after 3 months of asking for a new fon which was under warranty may June and up to July 24. They kept refusing to honor warranty n replace the fon even though I replaced the Sims as they requested. Checked towers as they requested reset the network 5 times... after 4 request for new fon they finally told me it was out of warranty for 2 DAYS n they refused to replace. Their solution was for me to pay for a better plan. I had unlimited... to buy a NEW FONwen I paid them the rest of my installments! And they said MAYBE I MIGHT GET MORE THAN ONE BAR

I was told if I turned in my old phone I would get a $1000 credit for the S23 Ultra. This was not the case at all. Theuly are charging me $33/ month til the $1200 phone is paid off. Total scam
So 2 days ago I called AT&T because my internet is out. First I had to deal with an automatic voice service "to fix the problem" trouble shooting. Ok that didn't work. Call back to speak with a human. An hour later I get a person, I explain the situation. She does some stuff on her end and claims my router is bad and they will send me a new one. Ok. The next day I find out a main line is down by a neighbor. Apparently a truck hit it. The neighbors didn't know what it went to so they wrapped it up and hung it on their fence. I called AT&T again was on hold for about an hour. Finally got someone and told him their main line is down and that is why I don't have internet. I informed them that I have a medical device that runs off of wifi, I need wifi or I will be in so much pain ( I refuse pain pills because what they do to people). I was informed that they aren't going to send anyone until Tuesday evening. So they don't care that they have a live wire just hanging on someone's fence and they don't care if it is a medical situation. They informed me that I had to be home as well so they can check the line in my house. The problem ISN'T IN MY HOUSE the problem IS THE MAIN LINE on the side of the damn road. Ugh thanks at&t for not caring about the safety and well-being of your customers and other people.
They don't deserve even 1 star! If I could have chosen a negative option, I would have. Nothing good to say at all about them. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. I have spoken to 9 different people today and told something different each time.
Each person made promises that a technician would be out to bury a line today but that different happen. Customer service is horrible. None of them knew what the other had said so instead of taking the time to truly figure it out, they would just make another promises that would not be fulfilled. They do not care about their customers.
All they care about is getting their money each month. TAKE MY ADVICE AND USE A DIFFERENT PROVIDER! I told them that I wanted to file a formal complaint and was told they would make sure that was done, but I really don't believe that will happen either. My only option that I have to hopefully help someone from going through this horrible process is posting a review online.

Sucks they don't do their work, a router was set up in a place that we didn't want, because it's near to a sink, and in the kitchen so it will get ruin, some staff came and he did what he wanted, then my husband called for someone to come fix it and they want to charge him to fix this $#*! and we won't pay for something that we didn't want to be set up there, when since the beginning we didn't want to be place there and we told this guy where we wanted, he just did whatever the $#*! he wanted, the service customer is useless, and the internet as well the internet Is so slow and we are paying to have a fast internet because school,work and so on. For foreigners traveling in the US- don't buy their prepaid e-SIM cards. Terrible service, even worse customer support. Extremely rude and unhelpful. I lost 55$ dollars and a lot of days staying on the phone or in their physical stores. Enjoy the States and DON'T BUY THEIR SERVICE.
Let's start by saying I am a good paying customer and never been late with my bills but I got a call from my daughter because AT&T texted her saying she can turn in her existing iphone 11 phone for a promo on getting iphone 14 for free only if it passed the 3 check points. So I decided to call at&t to see how this works so the phone has to pass the on and off mode or basically work and it passed that, the second check point was to make she it had no cracks or just be in great condition and that passed and the final check point was to turn off where's my iPhone mode which I went on a three way to deactivate it and we did that and then they sent the phone mind you they cannot send you anything until that is turned off so that went through but after like 2 weeks I got an email that the where's my iPhone was not turned off and cannot give me the promo so after countless calls with management and other techs did did not want to help me with this situation at all but the story is way to much to text but basically they took my iphone 11 and never game me the promo so I got stuck paying full price for the phone. It almost seems like it's illegal what they are doing cause they basically stole my phone and said the hell with you. So I took it up the $#*! but when my contract is up I will be looking elsewhere and I'm sure I will find a company that values customers. Don't believe the promo stuff cause they don't stand by it! And they treat customers terrible!

I have been calling their service for years when the service was spotty, now my phone says no service when I'm at my house and they literally tried to get to purchase their Uverse when they couldn't help me! I have been a loyal AT&T customer for over 30 years and it doesn't matter, they literally do not care to help me at all. I live within 1 mile of 2 towers and those of us inbetween the towers are in a dead zone. When I call I'm told it's not their problem it's my problem. Changing providers and I DO NOT recommend AT&T!
