The sales people lie about costs. The company lies about teacher discounts and recompense for used phone. Customer service is a scripted foreign employee with a scripted foreign supervisor. Service outages for days in places with typical service. This company is a scam.
I signed up with AT&T through Costco they lied about everything about the monthly payments about how much credit they were giving me for my phones they're promising to fix it every month but they never do the sales rep told me my bills going to be $170 monthly never been less than $235. Do not sign with AT&T you will be sorry.
At&t offers me a bogo promotion buy one god the second free, pay for 3 months and then you only pay for one cellphone, after 3 months the thief company still charged me for the free telephone i went though the whole company speaking whit them and no one help me.
I had Direct TV for 6 1/2 years with great customer service and smooth running equipment. As soon as AT & T took over trouble started. I began receiving emails stating my bill had been not been paid.
It's automatically paid out of my check to Direct TV every month. After about 6 months I got tired of this and when I received a double OOPS bill hasn't been paid (when it has) message, I decided to fire them. It took me 7 phone calls to get through to cancel my account as soon hey kept putting me on hold and then hanging up. AT & T attempted to get me to pay $96.00 which I do not owe!
I finally reported AT &T to WA State ATG/Attorney General's office. A few days later a Man from AT & T calls me back to say "sorry" but will not refund my prepaid payment! I had AT & years ago and fired them. This is my 2nd time firing them and I refuse to do business with a dishonest company who takes ZERO accountability for their deceptive practices. Nov 23,2020 I called att to order new internet service in my location. And Nov, 28 was the scheduled date to have service installed. I took 4 hrs of my work to be home for them. Long story short! No one ever showed up in my home not a phone call or even a message Nothing... so I called again to find out what happened and no one could give me a straight up answer, so we rescheduled again and the new Date was Dec, 2nd and same $#*! happened no one call no message nothing... so a call back to find out what had happened. And no one could give an answer, so we reschedule again this time for Dec, 10 and the same $#*! happened again order was canceled by someone and no one know why. So $#*! you att. No more. I turned in a phone and they gave me another free as a promotion then when I canceled the other line (which they had possession of) they took away the discount promotion. I'm in the process of switching to Verizon.
We cancelled the service when my sister passed away. When i got the final bill i had a credit balance on direct tv side and a debit balance on the ATT side, I called and they told me that they could not net the bill and i had to pay the balance on the ATT side and they would send me the refund on the direct TV side. So i paid the balance owed - since November i have been waiting on the refund. The refund comes from a third party vendor so now it is not ATT's problem. When i call the vendor they have no record of the Refund and when i call ATT they tell me to call the vendor. In the end 6 months later i still do not have my refund. I have called at least 20 times with no resolution. I will never use ATT again

AT&T are cones! They get you in with them under false advertisement. There customer service team in the store tell you the next month your bill will be cheaper, so you keep everything with the hopes of a cheaper bill that doesn't happen and you've had everything pass the return date with hopes. So now I try to return the watch and the store want take it back. So now I'm stuck with a 500 dollar bill that will not get paid. If anyone reads this and are thinking about switching to AT&T DONT DO IT! They're crap literally. And there sells ppl are idiots! DO NOT SWITCH TO AT&T.
Chose this one for being one of the most popular at the location I was at that moment. The service providers are more or less the same now as for me. Quite the same plans, the same amounts of services given etc. It works, it doesnt fail much - so thats okay for me.

Been with them 2 years my husband drives over the road services where suspended and they wouldn't even convection the line so I could reach to him on how to get me the money or check on him since it had been 24hrs y'all greedy rude n unfair after that I just imported my number to someone loyalty means nothing to them family means nothing emergency means nothing down right sad
They lie about everything. We were with them for many years and it was only recently that we realized that had lied the entire time. Our bill kept getting bigger and we didn't understand why. Then we tried to unlock 2 phones that said unlock ready, when we did it said we owed more payments even though 1 of the phones was free. We had been paying for free phones and they kept extending our pid phones payments. Even when it said they were paid off when we would go to unlock them, they would then say we owed more money. It got so ridiculous that our bill doubled in amount from one month to the next. It was ridiculous and customer service will say oh we are so sorry and we want to help but hey there is nothing we can do till the bill is paid even though the bill is wrong. Crappy service, crappy customer service and just a crappy company. STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COSTS!
I cancelled my wireless service with AT&T because of the high cost. I transferred my service to the new carrier. AT&T charged me in advance for a full month because they said the day I transferred my service was the first day of my new billing cycle! Do you really need money that bad that you CHEAT people! Calling the number on the bill for my deceased father's line and was told they couldn't find the account. Thus, they were unable to cancel it. A case was created and I was told to bring in death certificate to a store. Thank goodness for Michael Kakos, assistant store manager at 23 Mile Road location. When I arrived at the store with the death certificate, he called and was given the same run around. However, he was able to finally get the account cancelled. Thank you Michael for providing excellent customer service! Unfortunately, I will never do business with AT &T because of the challenge to cancel a deceased individual's account.
I recently changed to the advantage protection plan. When I make the claim I was denied for 3 months. Att could not give the proper information for asurion and send you in circles saying you have to call asurion then they say you need to call att. They send you to the manager on the app and then they cut you off or have you wait then tell you they can't help. The store people tell you they can help you do a claim but not much else they can do. Then recommend you to just lie saying I lost the device because I was denied at least 12 times because I didn't put the right day the device was last used. Then I was told I could make a claim on tablet or computer but it was a lie I had to add hometech which is $25 more on top of the $45 for the phones! Just report them to fcc right away thats the only way you will get anywhere!
I left ATT myself years ago. They offer me $300 or more periodically to come back. I never will. For my 90+ yr old mother I spent 5.5 hours simply to get her phone turned back on. Every time I got someone who might understand why it was disconnected by accident, they promised to send me to someone who could help me, and passed me back to entry level in the Philippines. AVOID ATT AT ALL COSTS. This year I have spent 10 hours simply trying to fix two of the problems THEY CAUSED THEMSELVES. The confusion there is endless, and they will simply route you from one department to another, telling you that this department can do nothing. It doesn't even matter if you talk to a supervisor--AT ALL. And there was no way to get an account online since they had cut off the phone--by mistake.
