AT & T customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. It is hard to understand the people you are speaking with. I called to change my billing address on my account, that is all. I was on the line for over 35 minutes. I kept being switched from one person to another. You can't even call it Customer Service. It is the most incompetent service I have ever experienced.
As you search for cable providers AVOID A T &T U Verse. They also own Direct TV. They lie also. Had U Verse many years but the last few years they do nothing but lie. Have over seas phone rooms so when calling never get same agent. They will tell you anything, promise a rate or promo but it never happens. When you call back of course different agent. They will say they have no record of what was promised... they are terrible... they also will give a price but of course that is for Direct TV then transfer you... also lie and make you commit to 2 year contract.
When cancelling, they will tell you about billing cycle. So even when service is stopped they charge you remainder of billing cycle. Total cheats.
When you return equipment at UPS store make sure you keep receipt as they will try and tell you weeks later they never got it. Tried that scam on me but but never apologised for trying to extort me out of 100 bucks.
They are terrible
I signed on with ATT in May 2023, getting the Unlimited Extra plan at $75/month. With the discounts for automatic payment and going paperless my bill should have come down to $65/month. In July 2023 I received a bill for $99. After an hour on the chat and finally getting to a live person, it was discovered that ATT had bumped me up to the higher cost Premium plan for $85/moth. In addition, they tacked on a so called "Lost Device Insurance" plan that added an additional $17 to my bill. This was all done without my knowledge or permission, and I would not have known about it if I had not waded through the chat menus and the back and forth of repeated explanations and requests, once I had a live person. ATT would have siphoned an additional $34/month from my bank.
This is a warning to anyone considering ATT that, if you set up automatic payment, they will have access to your account. And if you are not vigilant, they likely will add additional charges.
We have used ATT wireless for over 20years. I have been on hold for hours and sent to multiple locations within ATT to resolve the matter. Still not fixed. We will be finding a new carrier. How can a company such as this have such terrible customer service? I've literally been dealing with this issue since June. I'm not under contract so I'm leaving this excuse of a corporation. BTW, I'm on hold again!
I have spent at least 20 hours trying to resolve billing issues with ATT and still don't have it resolved. They have never honored the promised billing rate and never provided a credit for a phone that i traded in on a new one. I have spoken to countless people and not one of them is helpful or even courteous. I am switching to T Mobile where they at least appreciate me as a customer. This is the most dishonest and difficult company i have ever dealt with. Buyer beware
Customer services rude to customer, they always having late charges on bill, not work with custo.er when need, advices for no one to switch over keep the company u have there bad company to be with paying my phone off to get out asap..
Found out that AT&T are running scam on their customers.
The support not allowed to help you get a refund in any kind.
Extra fees will show on your bill.
Hidden fees if you find out the scam and decided to cancel.
Att service is good but the customer service sucks they charge me 100 install fee an all he did was come in look at my modem an say it's already hooked up they suck I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone ever at all
I know a lot of people hate AT&T, but I get my Internet at home from them -- I pay $14 per month for 4 mbps DSL. No strings attached. No land-line needed. I just had to buy a $100 modem. This was in contrast to Comcast who charged me $35/mo. I have not had any egregious customer service issues yet and my internet has never gone down. I really can't complain, and I feel like I'm getting a deal (note: I do not use AT&T for mobile phone service).
Switched to AT&T in November last year! The worst decision ever! Mind you I'm on auto pay! Every month I get a message saying you are past doe then The Calls start! Three phone calls a day! So now this has been going on for the past seven months I have to call in every other month to make the payment and set up auto pay again! They say my last payment was on may 26th but they pulled money out on the 29th of may and have no record of this payment! So tired of the non-professional service at AT&T!
A simple request of changing a home number turned into 1 1/2 hour phone call, $30 refund, $99 refund and still having a bill of $53! Please explain to me; How hard is this process?!? Not to mention being told I'm still being billed for internet that I canceled 7 months ago and was give $150 refund because I actually canceled last July 2021! They just keep screwing up my billing and my request for change of service because I'm elderly and they think I'm stupid! But this will be fixed or they will be SUED!
We were literally conned out of thousands of dollars in overcharges and fees to escape this scam. We have been paying $500 a month for three phones (one a cheap back up to save our old number) and a 2 MEG download Internet connection. When we contacted them we were told our community had Fiber. In doesn't. Turns out it is ancient DSL delivered over phone cables. Then they told us Fiber was about to be installed, and the two megs was "temporary." But of course we are being charged for Fiber.
As I write this Spectrum is at our home replacing everything. In another hour we will go from a download speed of 2 megs to one gig, for LESS money and with more features.
And our phones will go from $200+ a month to $30 a month each. Whatever it costs us, it is worth it to free ourselves from AT&T.
I've tried multiple times to have someone repair my 80-year old sister's landline service. Att checks the line and says, "no problem." I say one of her phones has no dial tone and the other no one can hear anyone speaking. I tell the agent this and am connected "to someone who can help." That's a joke; I'm connected to att business service; an agent who tells me to contact "Frontier." What's that when I want Att? I'm connected to someone with such a thick foreign accent I have to ask each word be spelled, and even then can't understand. I'm put on hold to connect to equipment service but get disconnected multiple times. At the end of each useless call I'm told about the value of Att internet service and with the promotion I can save money. In the meantime, my sister is paying for a service she can't use and can't get anyone to fix. Att is no longer interested in servicing a landline. The company wants to sell internet plans. Forget service. Just sell plans.
I made the mistake of going to an authorized dealer. I have the up next program where you can turn your phone in for a different one after you pay 50% of it off. I had one remaining payment of $23.42. When I got to the store and picked out the new phone, I asked if I only needed to pay the last installment and she said yes. Later that night as I was looking through emails, I realized that she charged me for the pay off amount of the phone. Since then, customer service number has told me something different every time I talk to them. Some of them are extremely hard to understand. Asked for a manager and they said that she will call me. She never called. I never had these problems at Verizon. I only left because the pushy people that were set up at Target said they could reduce my phone bill in half.
Supervisor Melvin hung up on me would not give me my acct number and a transfer pin. They turned off my service 10 days after the took out my automatic payment been with them a year or two because they don't support my Cat s61 phone anymore. Now my business phone is turned off and they were no help to get it reactivated now i have no business phone till they pull their heads out of their A$$
I have been calling ATNT for seven months, every single month about my credit for upgrading to a new phone. Two upgrades and 7 months later no credit. They keep you on the phone forever and absolutely nothing in return. I even threatened to cancel my account and they were more than happy to provide me with a payoff instead of coming up with a solution. Terrible!
For two weeks I have been attempting to get an internet issue resolved. This has gone on and I'm told by PT&T (Pilipino Telephone and Telegraph) that I have "good service". Well, it ain't a working. Then some twit calls me the following day to sell me an upgrade that is not offered in my area. Then tells me I just have to deal with the problems. Just listen, it only started a few weeks ago and is occurs randomly. "I don't know what to tell you." I absolutely hate having to deal with them or get through their maze to get to someone lightyears away and does NOT understand the problem. HATE THEM. If ever a company should be in bankruptcy, it is AT&T.
Terrible customer service. The overseas rep who sold me my new phone assured me that I would keep the same features with the upgraded new phone. Now I am told that to add back the hotspot, which was on my previous plans for many years, now will cost an additional $10. So I am starting to shop for new companies and open to new cell phone company suggestions.
Purchased what I thought was new iPhone 14 and received refurbished iPhone 14 that will not charge past 65% and doesn't charge for long. I called only to be told if I pay additional $250 I could have insurance and do my own claim. I will absolutely switch carrier services.
Fraudulent practice of providing wrong deals over the call and then acting like the agent provided you wrong information.
Even if you return the new devices within the warranted time they will keep charging you for the same. Customer care will say they have removed the devices and next month you will get credit but this story will keep happening every month. Removed devices will pop back on your account and they will say agents removed it "Wrong way". I am not sure why the government is not taking any action on obvious fraudulent practices like this.
Answer: Terrible service, this is the worst service I've ever had. Canceled all services with this company after my customer service experience. Customer service is horrible, their service in general is horrible, and they don't offer anything I can't get at any other competitors store. I wouldn't recommend service or work with this company, they are discriminatory and bias. All they do is take advantage of you and try to sell you stuff that you don't need so they can raise their commission. If you want to be serviced by a bunch of dilettantes, this is the place for you, bad service, work, and experience, Joshua at legacy village has terrible customer service experience.
Answer: At this point I am so disgusted with a T and T your customer service skills are horrible they don't help you out they keep transferring you to different departments just to get you off the phone they do not like to resolve problems and promises that they made they do not keep their promises they get you into getting into their products and getting their commission and then they screw you out of what they promise you I do advise anybody to go through a TNT they are lousy
Answer: Because they never really will cancel your service! They overcharge you and when you finally get a hold of them they still refuse to help.
Answer: To answer your question, Simply there is no accountability at AT&T. They bounce you around and they make NO attempt for resolution.
Answer: I use to work for AT&T, they have gone from bad to worse to I don't give a damn, and that's a shame
Answer: That is just silly. He wldnt be a multi millionaire if his businesses were bad. You forget, everybody loved him till he announced he was conservative. Isn't it all the democratic mayor's and governor's states that are going to shit? Or would you rather take crime over parent choice?
