I got duped in January of this year. Tons of promises that I got in writing. Only to find out it didn't matter. They won't honor their gift card promise for cell phone or internet. My Direct TV bill went up almost a month later. Customer service from Management down is horrific. They worst customer service. I've waisted more time talking to their call center plus going to the stores only to be treated like garbage. I wish I never would have left XFinity. As least they were honest with their pricing. Been almost 4 months and still trying to get the AT&T vendor manager to contact me. Since nobody knows who that is. Do yourself a favor save time and aggravation stay AWAY from this company their fiber service is not worth the lies.
No land line phones 80% of the time, they have worthless techs,& worthless customer service. If you live in a rural area I hope you are a young person or persons. No cell phone has reception,only hugs net for internet & direct tv all over priced and worthless. PUC can't get anything done with these losers. I don't see anything getting better anytime soon.
Their agent has made a duplicate account under my name, without me knowing about it, I've been paying double! Worst costumer service ever! After being through he'll with them when we canceled our phone and kept the internet something which apparently blew their mind, they sent me a prepaid visa for.05. Really what a waste of money. The card cost much more then the amount on it obviously. This company is headed down the drain...
I am a senior citizen. My payment did not come out of my account as usual on the 28th. I have tried numerous times to get help. I am so disgusted by this inhuman customer service. You are led at different props that don't work. Can't remember my user ID or password. Such inhuman treatment of there customers. National disgrace.
I have worked for 8-9 months, with multiple calls and chats and mail (no email allowed) to fix multiple problems with billing and the existence of 2 fraudulent lines (opened by an ATT marketing partner). ATT can never help. They refer me to the fraud department, who says there is no fraud in some sort of empty idle-brained cubicle-dweller mentality, and gives me no way to respond to them, and they only allow 500 characters to describe the problem. Then about $1000 worth of bills owed on our other lines because the fraudulent lines pushed us into TWO groups instead of ONE group. Chat disconnects after a while. Phone calls disconnect. I am polite and patient so it is not the rep getting upset at me for swearing at them. It's just a massive failed company. They all suck, like the airlines all suck, I expect. But just be prepared for mega frustrations. It's an example of how America is getting dragged down.
I don't have the most expensive plan but my internet speeds are meant to be somewhere between 50-100 mb, however I consistently struggle to get more than a few hundred kbps with only one device connected. On top of this it's literally not possible to stream a video start to finish without at least 2-3 minutes of buffering. Frankly I find it shocking they're allowed to call themselves an internet service provider considering their "internet service" doesn't work as often as it does
AT&T Horrible Service! Agents having no clue as to the plans they are quoting customers. Leaving you to call with numerous call transfers to agents outsourced. Making you waste your time even longer. I have been an AT& T customer for over 30 years. Internet service is Ok when it's working. Numerous resets on the modem that partially works & who has the time?! Headaches with plans blockages to phones for no apparent reason. Waited 6 days for them to figure out whas is the be is wrong with of the agents did to screw up to lines. Customer care team also no one willing to compensate me for my time & many efforts made to fix the issues. I would give them zero stars if I could. Find a competent Carrier that cares about your business other than AT&T which has been overwhelming & stressful. Ready to move on to better service.
Can you imagine how terrible it would feel to spend 3.5 hours at an AT&T store to handle a technical problem and get zero results? That's what I experienced today. It's emotionally tiring. The people in this store were good, but AT&T technical support is so terrible it's unethical. The company doesn't care about customer experience. Two 1 hr technical support calls after the store management couldn't resolve my problem - both ended with a promised follow up from technical support that did not happen. Complete wastes of time.
Honestly you can go with any other phone company and you will be better off, called them because i was getting charged on a service i had already canceled and it took me almost 2 hours being taken to the wrong departments and not having the ability to look into my account. If possible don't go for purchasing their device and monthly installment payment plan. They will charge you one or the other way to charge more. They got my device but billing credit only they gave for 5 months. They revoked it again and I have to monitor the billing and ask them. Really they started cheating called direct bank payment and deduct the amount from bank. If you dont notice the bill, they charge for international talk, etc etc...
One month they sent me bill for $759.11. Now you can image their intension to suck your blood.

Signed up for AT&t month and a half ago haven't had one single week where it worked correctly living old complex wires are bad however they did not let me know that if I signed on I will get the lower speed but at a regular price due to them not really being able to service this with the broadband Court the wires are old and rotted and yet they still use deceptive practices to get you to sign on! It's obvious why they stay on the court docket
AT&T once again raised my bill. Infrastructure around here is antiquated and the speed is that of a slug. We only use 2% of our allowance and have been customers for over 30 years. I called customer service?, and had to deal with a company trained robot. Oh yeah, the CEO makes 21.6 million per year. Our gateway goes bad every 2 years.My nephew has a Masters degree in computer reseach engineering and he said it is a toy. You would think that they would want to retain customers. Time to start calling the competition

Here is what happened
Contacted sales to sign up for Internet and cellular.
After a long conversation with me asking 10 times about my bill. It was $101 +tax.
I got my bill 3 days after and it was $200.
It took me 1 week to fight it. And I spoke with so many department. Finally they gave me a credit and told me my bill will be 110$ a month.
My second bill came. And it's $125.
I called and they said there is nothing that's showing my bill should be 101 or 110.
OMG. What a scammers.
As a 19 year customer of AT&T / Cingular I find it ridiculous that the company as big as it is, is unwilling to assist they're long time customers with the activation fees, or upgrade fees. Even Cingular in the early years recognized that its the customers that make them number 1. However as AT&T continues to grow and push advertising it has lost sight of the goals created by the parent company. 19 years, 7 lines on my account, and they cannot be moved to help in any way. I am not inclined to switch companies at this time, but believe my loyalty to this company has taken a hit and given the approach they have taken after all these years, that says something.
Again, thanks for nothing AT&T, I'll remember this.
I'm writing this review because I so badly regret ever signing up for service with this stupid company. EVERY month my bill is a different number (I've read many people complaining about this). Not ONE time has it been the amount that sales rep said it would be when we signed up for our plan at the store. When you look at your bill it's so unorganized and hard to understand... so many random charges and things you have no clue what they are. I feel lied to. The reps at the store spend sooooo much time trying to sale you a bunch of bull (tv packages, tablets, etc) things you totally don't need to make your bill higher! But when you need to call so they can explain the outrageous and uncalled for bill "oh we don't handle account specific information, you need to call customer service". What a load of crap that it is. I hate this company. I regret signing up with them. Let's just say the past 3 months our bill has been more than double what they said it would be. DONT SIGN UP!
I'm literally sitting here with 5G and 4 full bars of service and I can't get anything to load. Can't watch a YouTube video without it buffering for 16 minutes, Facebook won't load, texts are slow to send, messenger is useless. Before 5G I had zero issues. I continously have to reset my network connection, turn airplane mode on and off. Most the time calls won't go through. Why am I paying for what feels like the 90's dial up for 10 times the cost?
We moved and took AT&T with us. The tech didn't want to install our modem centrally and caused our signal to be weak. I contacted AT&T over 7 times. I was issued a credit for the repair and charged for the repair, with NO repair being made. I went back and forth. They are incompetent and evasive. Avoid if possible.
This is the first time I've ever done this because it's gotten so bad, I feel like I have to. I want to change my current internet provider because their customer service is bad. I already have DIRECTV so it made sense to add at&t internet. I have had 2 installation appointments and no one has come. 2 weeks and still no service. I've been told that someone would call me back in 15 mins and every time no one did. My wife and I have rearranged our work schedules twice for these appointments and have wasted 8 hours now with nothing. This is completely ridiculous. AT&T should be embarrassed by this kind of service.
I work from home and AT&T is the worst service that I've ever used. If I had any other provider in my area I would definitely not use this company. I have experienced an outage every week for the past 6 months with no explanation why. All you get are apologies
With the same problem reoccurring. There is no permanent fix and after these events happen all of your security for Wi-Fi passwords are wiped away with you having to do a full reset of all of your equipment in your home. I have been patient and understanding but this has gotten out of control. Calling to express your concerns does not help. They always end up trying to sell you a cell phone without fixing the initial problem. If the cell phones are like the Wi-Fi I feel sorry for the users. Please don't use AT&T if you plan on keeping active service.
Answer: Terrible service, this is the worst service I've ever had. Canceled all services with this company after my customer service experience. Customer service is horrible, their service in general is horrible, and they don't offer anything I can't get at any other competitors store. I wouldn't recommend service or work with this company, they are discriminatory and bias. All they do is take advantage of you and try to sell you stuff that you don't need so they can raise their commission.
