The overall reputation of Ashley Madison is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to the prevalence of fake profiles and perceived scams. Many users express frustration over the high costs associated with the platform, which they feel exploit their desire for genuine connections. While some customers report occasional success in meeting partners, the overwhelming sentiment is negative, highlighting concerns about financial exploitation and inadequate customer support. Despite its established brand presence, the company struggles to address these critical issues, leading to a lack of trust and a recommendation to avoid the service.

This site has become nothing but AI bot made fake profiles. They are easy to spot if you know what to look for, Guys don't waste your money chatting with a computer! They often include pics of gorgeous woman that would have no reason to be on AM.
Less and less for your money. Just now started limited winks to 3 a day when it was unlimited. This is without notifying current subscribing clients in any shape or form. This should be investigated by the FTC!
Don't forget just a short time ago they allowed themselves to be hacked and lost all your personal data to people who published it online.
I entered the site once and I made the mistake to enter twice. My geo location is Europe. Scam #1. The fee to buy credits so you can send message is fake. When you enter the pay page the fee is augmented with a hidden Mobile Activation fee (19.99€). Scam#2. Almost 99% of the profiles are fake and I received (intentionally) messages from non-existing persons. Scam#3. Anytime I send a reply message to a what appeared as person and added my email, I was charged by losing credits but the mail was never delivered. These are my real life experience so I prevented others of not entering in this site at all.
I joined this site and was charged 87.00 18.99 for mobile app that I did not want or need but it's no choice I sent 4 messages 4 and I was then asked to purchase more credits A COMPLETE SCAM RIPOFF
Fake profiles and fake emails to get you to keep hanging on. They'll send you emails saying she's interested but they don't respond or look at my pictures for so many tokens and the pictures are the same as her profile pictures. No one responds unless they're trying to sell you something. I could have gotten a good hooker for the money I wasted on this site.
Every single message requires credits including replying to someone that messaged you first. There is no monthly plan to let you do as much of whatever as you want. It is all nickel and dimed until you're blue in the face. It's a total scam and there are so many other options that are way better. The quality of women wasn't any different than other dating sites. Stay the F away.
A total rip off, you would have a better chance to find a woman at gay bars instead of here. You pay for the site and then pay again to send messages.
Very unfortunately, im writing this. First it cost you around 5 $ for each message you are sending...imagine. Great place if you want to spend your money...Second you even wonder if the profile are real...because you stop getting answer after you message someone...don t do the same mistake as,e...please stay away from ashley madison...enjoy life!
I signed up for ash mad like 3 times bought 5 times 50 credits and I got a total of 3 responses back all 3 wanted to talk on Google or snap all pretty and pretended to wanna meet but when it was d day no one showed up or had excuses and to top it all off all 3 wanted money from me so you know it's scammers sorry but your site really sucks
Review all the one star reviews and I experienced most of it too. Something's additional to this scam site is; their female scammers literally cost you money to find out if they're scammers. 90% are. Three weeks on here and spent $300 no meetings and no messages in Orange County. Woman will send "collect messages you pay for 5 credit and 9 out of 10 times, it was them literally telling me they're not interested. Also, cust service sent me a contract paragraph about their refund policy and said, it was my fault I messaged fake profiles on their site. Profiles would disappear after spending 6-12 credits to respond to fake profiles. If they're all fake, how should I know what fake looks like.
This site is down more than it is up. Their IT people must idiots and the reliability of the info is sketchy at best. I'd look somewhere else.
I purchased credits to see how well the system works. I would hot list and flirt to see if I got a reaction. I got a response and used up credits replying, only to find it was a bot. The person had not been online for the last 48 hours. Again I got a message which sounded legit from someone who had been on line, so I replied. Instant bot message came through and never heard back from her. Don't waste your money on credits.
They charge 9$ per first message. For nothing! Not 1 normal reply! Only bots. They just want u to keep on buying. They just tell u - keep on trying. Each try is $9. There is nobody on the site. NOT 1 NORMAL REPLY - NONE!
They will sell you very costly coins. And you are charged for every attempt you make to contact a female ( first contact you loose 5$). Send a hi to the same message you are charged $5. The female ( mostly a bot, and once a while a scammer) replies a hi. You again pay to read her msg. In the end just to know it's a bot or scammer you loose 30$>>that too for a bot. Lol. Save yourself the embarrassment..
All i can say is " thank god I didn't fall for the scam and buy credits"
Hundreds of winks and " collect mail". I've spent enough time on dating sites to know this is not normal behaviour. I just don't get that sort of attention.
Mail is free for women, why are they all sending "collect" mail?
And why are 99% of the women who pretend to want to talk to me from the U.S.? I live in Canada.
Just another site to make guys think with their $#*! and whip out their wallet.
The site has mostly fake profiles. Probably bots or AM employees stringing you along just so you keep wasting "credits" aka money on messages. There might be some real profiles on there but few and far between. I was on there a few years back before THE GREAT HACK and they were good sort of. Quality of women if there really are any has gone down and it's just a waste of time. Go somewhere else. There buisness model time has passed.
If you want to get sent a bunch of scantilly clad photos from guys pretending to be girls, this is your site, for this they want the venmo/cash app sent. Don't they realize you can video chat pornstars for less and with better hacking protection.
I'll keep using my favorite AdultsFinder.club because their women are not scammers. My experience with Ashley Madison was a complete garbage - a dumb waste of time and money. All the "women" I exchanged messages with were either bots or typical scammers who asked me for money and tried to blackmail me.
All the supposedly local women turned out to live out of my country. Stay away from this scam!
Very expensive, and they send you fake messages to make you open them and charge you for it, some of the women on here are ridiculous. You are married, of course, and they want you to be like a full-time boyfriend, which is impossible. I spoke to one that one today mental connection before you have any physical contact date for a while and then maybe they have a list of qualifications, I can see that they want a certain guy, but it gets a little over the top with some of these women. It's like they're looking for another husband I was on it for about a month and only really connected with one woman and she was very reluctant (save your money.) I did meet a Asian girl on here that wanted me to go onto this Asian translating site that was almost as expensive as Ashley Madison ridiculous.
The Ashley Madison site is plagued with false female profiles whose sole purpose is to lure male customers to expend credits. However, among the total pool of female profiles there is a VERY SMALL percentage of women sincerely interested in meeting men.
I am 60'ish, married, handsome, well-mannered, very hygienic, and affluent. I first joined AM during April 2012 and within one month had met and slept with a married woman. After marveling over my ability to satisfy her she ghosted me after our second rendezvous. More recently, about a year ago I met another married woman on AM. She is 25 years younger than I, slender and uninhibited...the real deal...together we continue to enjoy the best sex of my life, all while she calls me Daddy and thanks me for providing her what she can't get at home.
BUT...those are the only two women I have ever had any success with on AM while I have had regular success meeting women on other sites. Based upon my experience, AFF is where a man's money is best invested. But back to AM...if you are a man and join AM, count on receiving endless collect messages from women outside your geographical area. I don't know AM's exact business model - whether AM uses bots or independent contractors - but you will receive messages from women who never respond after you answer their collect messages. Oh, and I should not forget to add that I was one of millions of who received extortion threats when AM was super-hacked - threats which I simply deleted with no repercussions. But beware there were actual suicides as well as many divorces precipitated by that hacking.
Among the millions of female profiles on AM
- the vast majority are there simply to lure a man into spending (and purchasing more) credits. Beware when someone you have just met on AM immediately suggests moving to another communication platform "so you can get to know reach other better".
- a small number of female profiles are associated with women who want a small taste of adventure; for many simply having a profile provides them all the excitement they can handle. Others will message with you for an extended period before disappearing abruptly.
- an infinitely smaller number of profiles belong to women looking for action, and who will not run when it finds them.
Don't waste your time on AM...spend your money on Adult Friend Finder.
After you've been involved for a week or so you start to see a pattern. Woman message men for free but it comes to us as a collect message, when you click on it and spend your $ it ends up being a generic message that after you see 3-4 of them it's obviously a preset message that there is no way 4 different woman give you almost the exact message "thanks for your interest but I only respond to complete messages, tell something about yourself that would interest me" you mean she can't see my profile? 3 weeks in, $300 spent, 50+ message sent and I've received a message back from 1 lady. Do not throw away your $
Answer: Guys, it should not be so complicated to reach out to a girl for a hook up! You can find thousands of them on https://j4l.com/402007 They will contact you themselves, you don't have to put in any efforts if you want to have some fun time online. Or you just need to travel to them but it will be very rewarding, exciting and, what's essential, safe and SECRET experience!
Answer: Cops won't entrap you on AshleyMadison, they don't care. But you wife probably does. Often, she is worse than cops! Lol It's impossible to stay anonymous on AM - it's a well-known site. If you want to keep your affair secret, look for a safer platform, e.g. http://J4Love.net I had two affairs through their service. It was safe, private, unknown to the world and tremendously hot!
Answer: Kind of expensive because they charge by credits. There are cheaper solutions (vm, saphrina, some aff sites)...
Answer: Well, basically you purchase credits and you spend them every time you message someone...
Answer: This site is free for women, which i believe is a big problem. That is why many "professionals" join and try to make you join other sites, cam sites, etc. On sites like vm, saphrina, etc women usually pay as well which is good for the quality of the female profiles. But i guess if you are a woman you should rather join AM.
Answer: The question shouldn't be is it real, but is it worth it. If even one man/woman managed to have an actual affair through Ashley Madison, you could say that it's real. If for every 1 real affair/hookup there are 100's or 1000's of fake users to slog through all the while you're giving them your hard earned money... does that sound like it's worth it?
Answer: If it walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck what is it? Going to church has gotten people laid more than Ashley Madison.
Answer: Bill, this website is not owned by Ashley Madison. If you need to contact them you can call their toll free number 1-866-742-2218. Good luck!
