I was hesitant to call for help, but had heard commercials and decided in our situation I needed guidance in finding care for our senior. I received a call from Rose and she was so understanding and helpful and walked me through every step of the process in finding a facility and suggesting applying for VA benefits. I would have been lost without her knowledge and patience in helping me navigate it all. I would HIGHLY recommend the services to anyone needing to locate a senior living facility.
I recently contacted A Place for Mom for help in finding an independent living solution for a dear friend. The senior advisor I dealt with was very knowledgeable and able to give me a list of places based on my specific criteria. She even helped with setting up tour appointments for me. I found the perfect place the very next day! The service is totally free….I recommend A Place for Mom for anyone needing guidance in locating a living situation for a loved one.
I received invaluable information regarding my moms needed level of care form the friendly rep I spoke with. James was familiar with the geographic area I was interested in and knew the particulars of the different options. He was patient and sensitive to budget needs. He asked questions about my mothers particular needs and was able to make personalized suggestions. We did end up choosing one of his suggestions. I am grateful for his expertise and the time he spent speaking with me as well as helping set up appointments.
Nicholle was wonderful. She provided options that were in our price range, then did some additional digging to let us know who had specials going on or facilities that had extra amenities so that the search was easy for us.
A place for mom did all the legwork for us. We answered a few questions and they got us in contact with a local representative in our area. He helped us narrow down what would be best for my uncle. He set up the appointments. He checked back every few days to see how we were doing if he could assist in anyway if we had any questions While the whole process was stressful, a place for mom made it much easier
A Place For Mom was able to pinpoint openings for my husband that fit our needs. They offered options to contact and visit. They saved us time in sending options that had availability. It was a Godsend.
A Place For Mom contacts were pleasant and provided helpful direction which led me to Willow Grove, in Matthews, NC. The personnel at Willow Grove were equally very friendly, answered my questions, and helped me to see that Willow Grove was a good fit for me.
Missy was an amazing partner in tailoring the search criteria to what we were specifically looking for. She had personal experience of having been in the home that we chose and she helped us in our search every step of the way. She emailed, texted and took phone calls and adjusted the search criteria as we needed. We got 12 very good leads from her to check out and my Uncle is now in the perfect situation for the level of care he needs in a home that is AMAZING!

I welcomed this professional service rendered when I began my search for my brother to enter a Memory Care Unit Facility. A Place for Mom returned my calls in a timely manner, sent email updates and their reps were patient and courteous which made this chaotic unfamiliar process easier. The agency name A Place for Mom made me think that it was just for females however this service was available for my brother. A heartfelt thanks to their staff.
My advisor was there to guide me through the entire process.
From my Mothers sudden and life changing diagnosis, Joy with A Place for Mom offered comfort, compassion, vital information, and basically guided us through the difficult decisions and options available. With their expert knowledge, they helped us every step of the way. From taking our information and doing all of the research that would have overwhelmed even the smartest person, to helping us with what places were available and what questions were asked. They were our liaison between the hospital Social Worker and all the facilities. Most importantly, they listened to us, validated our emotions and reminded us, that everything would be ok.
Used your on line service and was able to find a good place live with my husband. Looks like a great place for him in the Memory Care unit. Also many tips as I explore being a caregiver.
Counselor's help is invaluable in focusing your search, contacting facilities that you might be interested in and scheduling tours. The online scheduling tools are also helpful as are the emails that address related issues that you need to consider
They give the best places I think to look for a place
Amanda Baker was my coordinator in the South KC area. She was very helpful, patient, accommodating and knowledgeable. I have already suggested to others to use "A Place for Mom"
When I reached out to A Place for Mom I had no idea what I was doing or how the organization worked. My parents needed a place to go as their condo was not conducive to their new needs. I live in one city and my brother in another and had no idea what we were going to do. Their representatives reached out quickly. I wasn't quite ready to deal with the situation at that time but when I did decide I needed help they were there. Rose was AMAZING! Right from the get go she put my mind at ease, gave me pointers and options in both cities. I was able to email or text her and her responses back were quick. I can't say enough about this organization. Do not hesitate to call. They know and understand how difficult a situation you are in and they go above and beyond to help you
Was lost looking for a place for assisted living. They guided me in helping a family member find a new home
Brian was great! He was courteous, patient and very informative. He quickly shared information on 3 locations and made appointments for me to visit either in person or virtually. I ended up taking the first place in his list as a great new apartment and home for my Dad.
We had to identify a new housing option for my father with very little notice. I wasn't sure how to even begin and turned to A Place for Mom for some initial information. Within 30 minutes, I understood the right options for my dad, price ranges and location options. They also referred me to a financial assistance program that I was unaware of. A Place for Mom was a significant partner in our move and I, without hesitation, recommend them.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
