When I first contacted APfM, Kristin Howard was so helpful and knowledgeable. Upon following up a few months later when I was ready to move forward to visits and selection, I was handed off to Dylan Randolph. The contrast was very apparent. Dylan was sarcastic, not knowledgeable, overtalked me, and misinformed the referred centers about my information. I proceeded on my own without APfM support. VERY DISAPPOINTED in the process and lack of training for Dylan.
The advocates were very helpful but not pushy. Andre Wright provided a good level of follow-up but was not overwhelming.
Helped me a lot in finding a good place to live. I would recommend A Place For Mom to anyone who is looking for a place in live and doesn't know where to begin.
A Place For Mom was very helpful during a stressful time. Everyone I interacted with was kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. They were instrumental in the search for assisted living for my dad and I would recommend them highly to anyone.
In our quest to give our mothers or grandmothers the best life possible, we often face worries when searching for the perfect place for them to thrive. Fortunately, Ashley has been a steadfast guide, keeping me informed every step of the way, addressing my concerns, and instilling a sense of confidence with each new opportunity. Her unwavering commitment to finding the ideal solution for my grandmother and family has left me deeply impressed with A Place For Mom's exceptional service.
Everyone I came in contact with at A Place for Mom went over and above the call of duty to assist me in finding the perfect home for my loved one. Elke and Melissa were particularly helpful and understanding as was Kim at Bell Oaks of Newburgh. I am totally impressed by your service.
A place for Mom gave me several options of senior living faucilities that fit what I could afford. They set up appointments at each which included a tour of the rooms and accomidations, and a meal in the dining room. This way I was able to compare each place and what each had to offer. Everyone was very kind and helpful. In this way I was able to choose the place I liked best and which fit my needs. I am very happy with my choice and can't wait to move in to my new home.
A Place for Mom agents are helpful, caring, knowledgeable, practical, know the right questions to ask (that you may not even know to ask), and they follow up. Our community recommendations have all been on par with our needs and parameters, and we found the perfect place for my mom. Thank you!
Overall, the help and guidance provided was superb! The place I chose for my 95 year old mom is wonderful. I know it will be an adjustment going from her own home. She was taking care of everything on her own, still driving, doing her own housework, shopping, etc…. I think having three meals provided, housekeeping, all utilities, and many other other amenities will make the adjustment easier.
My Mom has dementia. When she got too advanced for me to handle, I called A Place For Mom, frustrated and upset. Everyone is so compassionate and caring! They not only helped me thru the process of selecting a suitable place for Mom, but helped me to handle road bumps along the way. Constantly reaching out right up until Mom was placed. I am truly grateful that such an organization exists and that the people involved are so caring and empathetic. I will be singing their praises for the rest of my life! Not only is Mom in good hands, but I was as well. Virtual Hugs to Denise Grasso!
We had to find a place for our homeless 79 year old sister-in-law. We helped her get off the streets. Then we contacted you. And within a month she is happily living in an assisted care home. She had resources. But lacked understanding and a little help. Thank you.
I knew I had to find a place for my wife but didn't know where to start. My son signed me up on APFM and Meredith took charge and the next thing I knew I found a fantastic home for her.
Watching how everyone work together with the patient. See what kind of care they give them. See how they respond to diferent sircimstances.
Placing our Mom happened quickly due to our Step-Dads hospitalization. We hadn't even thought about our options. I started calling and then found the research had been done by " A Place for Mom". They were compassionate and helpful because they could help answer questions and help provide numbers for services without me doing all the research on my own.
Natalie provided a comprehensive list of potential facilities and stayed with us through the entire process of choosing a location and getting my dad moved in.
100% Recommend, totally overwhelmed before calling. Within days find a place and services. What a God sent.
My challenge was to locate a place for my friend Elizabeth to live after she left the rehab facility. Unfortunately this process stretched into almost a year due to her on- going health issues. We began searching the middle of 2024 and ended with a wonderful place in April 2025
My son and I needed the kind of help that your group offered. Your staff gave us the time we needed to research and inspect various locations and facilities!

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
