We started this process over 2 years ago. But my parents wanted to wait. Then a tragedy almost happened. They fell, one by one, and neither could get up, or help each other for over 8 hours. Only by God's mercy, and the lawn care workers that heard them calling out in the morning, did they not have something far worse happed. Once we got to them (1.5 hours away), moved in that day, and had the hard conversations, then they were ready. And a place for Moms was right there. Perfect recommendations. Appointment settings, guidance and help. Everything else when smoothly, and fast. Thank you A Place for Mom!

I was really unsure what kind of care would be best for my mother in law. I found out about A Place for Mom from a good friend and I'm SO glad I called! They are incredibly responsive, resourceful, so helpful and helped me get my mother in law placed in a great assisted living within 2 weeks of my first call. They all send me other great resources for financial knowledge, veterans benefits and selling her home. I am so grateful to this organization!

I started my search with out any help, but it was too overwhelming. I contacted A Place for Mom and Nillsa was so helpful. She did just about all of "the leg-work" She stayed in touch, but didn't constantly call. Very helpful experience.
I lost my husband in January 2025. Circumstances with my health had me needing to move out of our home. I was totally lost, never thought about moving out. I called A Place for Mom and got a very nice woman (names... can't remember) who gave me a list of places to check. One place she gave me was Brookdale. They have a place just across the highway from where I was living. I went there first and fell in love with it. I checked the other places, there was nothing wrong with them (beautiful properties) but I decided Brookdale was where I was going to move. I'm about half moved (circumstances) and loving living here. A one bedroom place with a kitchen, a small balcony, and they let me have my two Shetland Sheepdogs. I'm actually happy here and meeting a lot of people. I have even told them I will teach a couple of writing classes to residents (both fiction and biography) because I am an author with 5 books out. Thanks to A Place for Mom, I've landed in a good place.
Michelle was awesome, so very helpful in helping us place our loved one in a safe facility. She checked on us often and gave us all the info we needed in this trying time. I am so grateful for the service and caring she gave us.

After a referral from social services, I was contacted quickly and connected with Kari. She helped us get a tour set up quickly and checked in often on our progress. We had a tight timeline and she helped make it happen!
My 96 year old mother was having some serious medical issues and my wife and I couldn't take care of her properly. We were snow birding in Florida and reached out when we had made the decision to place her in a home. They started the process and sent us information about numerous places that included physical therapy and memory care. Once we returned to Ohio, they reached out to us to start the process of finding "a Place for Mom'. We visited numerous places that they had suggested and settled on one that seems to be doing all the right things for mom.

Once I requested information about assisted living I was bombarded with emails and phone calls. I asked them to stop but to no avail. I received information about things that I did not ask for. Probably helpful for people with no knowledge about senior services. I was from out of the area and just needed some assisted living center phone numbers. Won't be using them again. Will do the googling on my own in the future.
