The questions asked by our representative Steve Henry made it easy to find the senior apartments that would fit what my Moms needs. They would also schedule the appointments and cancel if needed.
Not only did she find a place within our budget, she EDUCATED me in the ways of the business of long term care! I wish I contacted her first!
A Place For Mom helped my family narrow down properties when my loved ones could transition to. They set up visits based on our finances and while it took almost 2 years, the move will happen this month. Thank you!
Even though I did not end up using their services the information and advice the website provided helped me find the place I am moving to in the coming month.
Was very helpful in setting up tours with the locations and types of places that fit our criteria
I contacted A Place for Mom when me and my sisters realized that my Mom could no longer handle living alone in her home. My Dad passed away a few years ago and she is struggling to keep up with the house. Jennifer is the Senior Living Advisor that I worked with at A Place for Mom and she was wonderful and very helpful in the process. She guided me to the community options that would be a good fit for my Mom and I reviewed them all and selected 2 communities to visit with my sister, Pam. We liked both communities so we shared them with my Mom and she decided to tour The Woods at Merrimack first. It was the first and last community we visited because my Mom loved it! Jennifer helped us evaluate what my Mom could afford and we were able to secure an apartment at The Woods. We had a great experience with A Place for Mom and I would and have highly recommended them to anyone in the same situation as my Mom.
My representative Arthur found multiple listings in the areas we were considering for our mother. He was informative and easy to talk to about our concerns in finding the right place. Arthur stayed with us during our search for over a year and a half. Finally, we settled on what we believe was the perfect match for our mom. Thank you, A Place for Mom! KDavis
At an emotional time A Place for Mom was the perfect go to. Everyone I worked with was responsive without pressuring, knowledgeable and attentive. Follow up was great. I highly recommend the service that ultimately resulted in my moving my mom into a home that is the perfect fit for her.
Being aware of my financial ability, they directed me to the perfect place for me.
When I called a Place For Mom, I mistakenly believed I be given contact information and rankings of places. Wrong. My information went to places who made appointments without even contacting me. These appointments, that I never attended, were followed up with emails asking how liked them. I also started receiving unidentified phone numbers. When I first contacted APFM I told the rep NO CALLS before 10am PDT. Didn't help. My advice, do some investigation on your own!
Very helpful and professional and followed up with my requests
Nancy was excellent, and very knowledgeable. She has a lot of experience doing this and answered all of my questions.
I received many referrals from A Place for Mom after they listened to what I needed. They helped to arrange interviews and they provided follow up after an interview. They recommend solid facilities and I had trust in their referrals.
I believe you sent me a list of senior living facilities. I did not use your service.
Just the same as the first exposure to a place, for mom the agent was super helpful and knowledgeable. I was given five potential prospects that fit my needs and finances. I visited four of the prospects and settled on New Horizons. I have been here, almost a week and so far, so good.
Initially it was helpful but then their persistence in repeated calls became very annoying. Even when told we had changed our minds they continued to call. The place where Mom transfered to also reported an irritating number of calls. I get they want their pay but this isn't the way to do it. I am not sure I can recommend using this service because they will hassle you once you make contact.
Supplied a list of retirement homes to visit. Easy to follow up with tailored visits.
I was looking for a place for my father and I contacted them. They took me step by step and answered all my questions. This organization is truly a blessing. They Care
They were very helpful in providing information and support to me in an area that I knew nothing about. In particular Andre was always there for me aiding tirelessly in my search.
Because my loved one needing memory care was male and my spouse I didn't turn to A Place For Mom when I first found a home for him. Unfortunately the place he moved into did not understand Alzheimer's care well and he did not get good care. A Place for Mom rapidly helped me find several good options and gave helpful advice so I was able to get him rapidly in a much better, safer, knowledgeable and loving place.

Answer: In the Greater Louisville (Kentuckianna) metro area there are several I can recommend you consider based on our tour of recommended facilities in Southern Indiana. As residents of Southern Indiana, just across the river from Louisville, we chose Silvercrest in New Albany Indiana. They offer independent living in freestanding apartments as well as assisted living and also more complete care for those needing it. We also really liked Traditions at Hunters' Station in Sellersburg which has identical options, and Bennett House in Clarksville, which offers assisted living and additional services but does not have independent living. Some of these do have limited Medicaid beds in their nursing facilities.
