I am writing about the worst apartment community I could have ever experienced after getting tired of getting abused by this complex. MAA (Mid America Apartment Communities in Lake Mary FL)
This complex sucks because:
1 - It is infested (not just by roaches but also with snakes) and complex refuses to invest in proper sanitation of the grounds
2 - Trash Compactor never works and complex refuses to repair it.
3 - Air Conditioner leaks in each apartment straight into ground floor apartments (something else they refuse to fix)
4 - Complex regularly rings fire alarms in all apartments without notice given to key residents.
5 - Complex has stolen a couple of checks from me for full months worth of rent which is not steep even if they hadn't cashed it in for themselves.
There was a Swxual Assault that happened last night at the Symphony Apartments Frye Road and Dobson. I just moved out of the Symphiny Apartments last week. I lived there fir 5 years. The first two years were great. After that, AWFUL! The new Management never fixes anything, and after Civid hit in 2020, the following year 2021, they decided to raise the rent $400 per month, and accept Section 8. Not that there is anything wrong with Section 8, but sometimes the tenants become a little more suspect. Also it is suppose to be a gated community, lol ha ha... NOT. The gates have been broken for over a year. All I can say is GOOD LUCK IF YOU MOVE HERE. Lots of mosquitos, ants, sewer ranches, and now CRIMINALS!
Apartments.com removed my honest, truthful and non harmful review of Avery Dania Place today. I even had pictures to go with it. The property took it down twice-possibly because they know they're really in the wrong.
It's funny how both times I tried to post it, there were new reviews from mystery people popping up. Apartments.com could at least not be so biased, and have legit reviews from real residents, not paid reviewers from the property. How is that even right? Is this some other country where no one can speak against the "wondrous" property that is violating people's security rights?
Anyways, here is my original review:
"Went to visit a friend here. This latch system they have gave a history of everyone who has ever used it. With WHOLE names AND pictures. Talk about no respect for your privacy. Idk my friend says he doesn't remember signing anything that said the whole world would know when you or your guests come and go & thru which door. Seems like such an invasion of privacy and in 2020 I can't believe that's legit!?! I know I'm not going back, I don't need the residents and their visitors knowing me, what I look like or when and where I was. Pretty unbelievable"
As apt. Manager sit in there lovely renovated office we residents that consists of children single parents the elderly and disabled are living in horrific condition in which was told to management several times even Advanced Management in which owns the Pathetic property
Yes, you guessed it freaking ROACHES & MICE are taking over every first floor apartment and some second floors in the back of complex. Then Advanced have the nerve to charge us for everything Including extermination of their critters this is screwed up some of us can't afford rent as the slum lords raise every year. Let alone do their humanism duties as freaking landlords No, don't move here true story recently a single parent move in tried to cook an ROACHES spread Why? The idiots painted over a nasty full of ROACHES STOVE Unbelievable she said she's moving after signing a year lease
DO NOT LIVE HERE. The apartments are nice but management is horrendous. When I first moved in, I don't think the place had even been cleaned professionally after the previous tenants left. The floor was filthy, several knobs were missing from kitchen cupboards and drawers, there were cigarette butts littered throughout the back patio area. Also, the "emergency maintenance number" is a lie. Make sure you only have emergencies during business hours or no one will do anything. This is my 3rd winter here and for the past 2 years the heating unit has broken in the cold. This year, the heater broke in November and again in December. I am currently on the third day of no heat. If maintenance arrives while we are not home, nothing happens. If we are home, they just turn the unit off and back on again. This will keep the heat on for 20-30 minutes before it goes out again. Every time my roommates or I call for status update, the staff either doesn't answer, says they will call back but don't, and/or act like we are making outrageous demands just for wanting heat in the winter. Also, as soon as you express even the slightest bit of frustration or emotion, they accuse you of threatening them. The leasing manager BANNED one of my roommates from the leasing office! Is that even a thing? Again, do not live here.
I have lived here for 2 years and still love it!
The staff is friendly and helpful.
The apartments are spacious. And well laid out and you can really make them your own.
They will make you compile all your info upload pics and descriptions then deny your listing. Don't list your rentals here. Very terrible company. Shady people.
I love living here! It is the place to be for updated apartments, beautiful hardwood floors and a staff that makes living so easy.
The community is also a big plus!
APARTMENTS.COM AND THEIR STAFF IS EXCELLENT. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL, VERY HELPFUL AND ANSWER HEIR CALLS ON TIME AND REGULARLY. I NEVER HAVE TO WAIT ON HOLD FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME AND THEIR IS ACTUAL LIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT MACHINES. I LOVE IT! <3
Thanks to apartment.com I'm living in a peaceful community. Property Manager to maintenance are great! My maintenance needs are completed within the same day or next.
Spent over 5 hrs over 5 day period trying to get my ad posted with many "verification" steps and rejected ads. Customer service was helpful but overall experience is not worth the time & effort.
A. Use of VPN will cause rejection of your ad, you'll need to call customer service and get verified all over again.
B. They ask if you're located in the US (I am) as postings are only allowed from within US.
C. I was required to submit the actual deed (legal document) proving ownership... these $#*!s questioned authenticity of such document. Are they in the legal document verification business? They must think they're private investigators or CIA.
D. It takes at least 1-2 hours for them to update the system, longer if it's after-hours, thus causing delays.
E. After speaking with customer service, they ask you to send an email so that it can generate a ticket number to troubleshoot your issue.
F. Everytime you call, they verify you with the same stupid questions.
G. You must request that your telephone number is masked on the ad as same is supposed to happen automatically but does not.
H. Other bugs in the system (e.g., system automatically listed my ad as "furnished" even though same was not ticklered).
Do NOT opt for any applications, payments or other services through this website for privacy reasons and to save yourself the massive headache of dealing with this company.
There are many other sites out there, I strongly suggest not posting with these clowns.
Horrible management director will smile in your face and pay you no mind, utilities are a 3rd party, they rip you off, i had a 200 electric bill twice and was a run around to get resolved, maintenance puts a patch up job on everything, water system is awful, pool always dirty, i DONOT recommend a dog live there also got mold in there utility closet which your family with breathe in
This "site" (the term only loosely applies -- I suppose technically they at least own a URL) purchased the absolutely fantastic rental management company Cozy.co a few months back, thus finally buying out all the rental management competition. Cozy accounts were migrated over to Apartments.com, thus ending any sort of customer support, functionality, or utility.
Cozy had great features, like rent collection and running credit checks. Apartments.com states they offer similar services. In reality, they have buttons with labels corresponding to these features, but don't expect anything other than a server error if you try to use them!
Call customer support, you say? You'll get connected after only a few short hours (read: 5-10) to an extremely nice representative, who will, regardless of the issue (big or small) eventually indicate that someone else will need to fix this and refer you to some other magical tier of support. This other mythical support person will *never* return your call.
Just call back, you say? People get busy? You will call back, confident that this time will be different. But it will not. And you'll do it again. And again. For literal *months* before finally giving up.
Apartments.com is the dystopian future promised in all dark scifi. It is the technological emperor with no clothes. It will remind you of everything wrong with the world.
I lived at Puckett Pointe for 12 years and moved out December 2021 because a new company took over and raised my rent hundreds of dollars to the amount of the brand new refurbished apts but refused to do any updates to mine. I had the same 12 year old appliances, paint and carpet. Security was terrible. The fumigations never worked. Management is unprofessional. Maintenance took my parking cone. I literally made them hand it back to me from the back of their truck. I witnessed my elderly mom get an eviction notice for rent being short $1 and I gave her some of my towels to soak up water after the apts water heater located in the laundry room flooded her apartment and they refused to fix damages. Instead, they verbally mistreated her and gave her a 60 day eviction notice for "unsafe living conditions" and are charging her $300 for the machines that they brought in to dry out walls and the carpet soaked with water from the properties water heater flood. We had to hurry up and come up with moving money because she is on a fixed income. This whole situation has been stressful and traumatizing for the entire family. My elderly mom lost sleep and weight. Luckily, the family came together and was able to find my mom a clean safe apartment to live in. I pray no other family has to experience this type of treatment from Puckett Pointe.
Apartment.com deleted my review about Avion@ spectrum apts. I didn't even go into detail about the review, but I will now. Been living here 10 years, first 5 was great until they sold it to Prime. WOW! Avion Apts contracts Western Towing. During pandemic Covid-19 crisis, property manager RL does not care if your car is towed. The car is registered in their system and still gets towed! Western Towing and Avion Apts rules/regulation for parking both are not on the same page! Beware! Each resident is given 2 pass. 1 sticker and 1 guest pass. I lost both. I need to purchase 2 pass. Emails/calls to her colleague. Property manager response is "At this moment, you can purchase the 1 sticker parking permit, and your guest can park outside." As a resident, you are obligated to give a guest pass buy or not to the resident! In march till now, it's been consecutive. This week alone, Ive been waking up from 2-2:30a. M 6 nights straight because the loud car alarms are going off, and you look outside lights flashing and see its the towing company that they are in contract with. Its disappointing.
I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at Aviary Apartments, and I feel compelled to share my frustration with others. From the lack of autonomy for their employee, Aaron, to the abysmal customer service, this place fell short on every level. First and foremost, it became apparent that Aaron, the property manager we were dealing with, had absolutely no decision-making authority. It was baffling to witness how he was unable to exercise any independent judgment or make decisions regarding our situation. It was as if he was a mere PUPPET, simply regurgitating the decisions made higher up the chair. This lack of autonomy resulted in endless delays and a complete lack of progress. Speaking of progress, Aviary Apartments' customer service was nothing short of abysmal. When we were initially approved for a contract, we were overjoyed, thinking we had finally found our new home. However, our joy was short-lived when they abruptly canceled our contract. The lack of communication and disregard for their customers' time and effort was truly astonishing. The frustration of dealing with Aviary Apartments was compounded by their complete lack of empathy and willingness to address the situation. We were left feeling stranded, confused, and utterly disrespected as customers. It was evident that they had no regard for the impact their actions had on individuals or their lives. In summary, Aviary Apartments proved to be a nightmarish experience. Their lack of autonomy for their employees, particularly Aaron the Community Manager, severely hindered any progress. Additionally, the abysmal customer service and disregard for their customers' time and effort were nothing short of disgraceful. Save yourself the headache and avoid Aviary Apartments at all costs. There are plenty of other options out there that prioritize their customers and value their employees' decision-making abilities. (2 negative stars) Karma is digital.
I have been living here for 6 months and I will say I read all the negative reviews and had reservations about moving here. From the beginning they took the time to go over my concerns and they were very open and honest about the negatives and explained the steps they were taking to correct the perceptions. What I have found is a very responsive staff both in the office and maintenance personnel. Victor, Karen and the other people in the office are always pleasant and professional. They addressed my concerns quickly and throughly. Just today I needed a situation corrected and it was handled with one call. As for the maintenance staff, Ray has been the best. Today Derelle ( sorry) if I spelled his name wrong was on time and corrected the problem all the while listening to me and he suggested ways to better the living situation for me and the other residents in the complex. The one thing I am sure of is the negatives have been dealt with. I need to add the residents need to take pride and ownership of their living situations and help make Carleton East what can and should be, home. We all have a responsibility to be good residents.
Recently I moved in. My experience with Pam the leasing manager was smooth and very professional and helpful. She went above and beyond to ensure my moving experience was very easy and quick.
Never rent from this property, the HOA will fine you for any alleged, false, unverified infraction. If you contest the fine, you are intimidated by them. Avoid the property.
I have lived at woodglen apartments since February of 2022.
I have had the best experience.
Wendy and Justin in the office are great people.
I would highly recommend woodglen apartments
Answer: If it sounds good it is a scam. Run do not walk away and contact the FBI. Because locals will do nothing. And apartment.com is doing nothing to help. Get off this site as quickly as you can! I think we should sue apartment.com. Started an email called suetheirass@gmail.com. During the pandemic, the scammers took everything I had, and now I'm facing the streets. Apartment. Com was at fault for being their platform.
Answer: Some apartments are well kept and clean. Remember each listing is from a different company or owner. Everyone has a different standard. We try our best to keep our properties clean, pest free and well maintained. The Happy Landlord
