Poor service, prefer to use Curry's

Ordered a dishwasher and it arrived badly damaged in about four places. Paid for installation but was told (before unwrapping the machine) that we'd need a plumber due to the pipes being what they were (no real explanation). We cancelled the order and got a refund, ordered the same with Currys with a discount code so it was less expensive, the delivery guys were great, installed it no problem and the machine was perfect.

Absolutely diabolical
December 18, 2020

The worst experience I have ever had with an appliance company. Delivered two faulty washing machines, six appointments booked to resolve, three days annual leave taken, total shambles and complete "computer says no" attitude. Will never use this company again.

I hope I could give no star

The dishwasher which used less than 9 month from A.o.com has to be repaired and part exchanged today. The warranty comes for any electrical product and it's not something additional they do for customer. 400 pound spent and now to keep me quiet 30 pound voucher offered. The item they sold was faulty regardless of repair. The item used for short periods doent have to go through part exchange

Great Customer Service

Can not fault this company. Ordered a 65" Phillips tv had a fault exchanged now 3 times as each one had similar fault. Now had a full refund. AO throughout have been fantastic always helpful delivery teams friendly. Although the actual product was useless AO service was spot on

We didn't get our fridge. Despite having long conversations with AO about the delivery - there are lots of steps and turns - the delivery men were unable and unwilling to deliver. We have cancelled the order. We appreciate that getting an American fridge up the steps is a difficult job, but not impossible as the fridge was to replace one of similar dimensions. We are disappointed as this had all been discussed with you prior to placing the order

Awful Service

Truly awful service from this company - waited in only to get call from their customer service stating driver turned back because he was worried about an overhanging tree at property despite no such tree existing. Sounds to me like Typical Friday afternoon wanting to finish early excuse. Will never use these people again.

Horrendous, "Computer Say's NO", attitude. I have never come across such incompetence before. I skipped customer service and just went straight to complaints. A debacle covering, 3 machines, 3 installation services (trained monkeys would be more effective) and pathetic, withering platitudes stating that we will fix everything, do not be concerned! Well order refused and now considering legal action due to blatant fire risk of mentioned Installation Service Personnel.

Poor Customer Service

Delivery is always quick and efficient, the drivers are lovely, and they price match.

But beware their handling of problems. We've been without a fridge freezer for weeks following a 'second breakdown', all their attempts to try and fix the situation just made things worse.

A final offer to 'replace' the broken appliance was accepted by us, with engineer visits cancelled, however what they'd failed to mention was that the offer to replace required us to pay an additional £400... something they failed to mention when making the offer.

They've mishandled our problem spectacularly, with the result that we'll be giving them a miss in future.

This is the single worst incident of 'customer service' that I've ever experienced, if they'd done absolutely nothing we'd have been in a better position than after their 'help'.

Failed to deliver Xbox

Awful Organisation.

Shocking company. Send out repackaged goods as new that customers have returned with scratches and dents. They do not want to take products back so offer you a discount to keep appliance.
Hard pressure after sales that do not take no for an answer.
Delivery drivers who are not happy in their jobs and tell you how bad the company are.
Go to John Lewis or Currys and save yourself lots of hassle.

Van crash
June 27, 2022

One of your delivery drivers crashed into our parked car (likely writing it off).
They then fled the scene. Fortunately another motorist reported to the police and left a note on our car. Despite a crime report being issued no-one from AO has responded to our calls for 3 days.
Simply terrible and law breaking.

Horrendous treatment of customers
December 8, 2022

Take your order for fridge freezer.
On day of delivery when it doesn't come and you call them, they say that they didn't have it in stock after all when ordered and it would now be January the 2nd.
When you explain that you now do not have anything for a family of 5 over the Christmas period as we removed faulty one yesterday, we get an insulting offer of £50 comp to "go and buy a small on to tide us over"
Seriously bad service and blaming a glitch in their system over black Friday weekend is not acceptable! Shame on them leaving a family with the stress of this in these times.
Total fraud taking orders you can't honour.

Absolutely Avoid at all costs!
Had and American ff delivered and firstly I had AO 5 star, so I pay this for them to take my old one away. 6 DAYS LATER they turned up to take it! And at the point of delivery the crew bumped my f/f and when I looked the driver simply said oooppss. Then when they brought it in the house my new kitchen floor got damaged. I have phoned several times about the and assured it would be sorted and promised call backs, that never happened. Now I have provided pictures of damage followed all emails and they just keep asking for more. Not willing to sort it out so now taking it further that these cowboys

Faulty bread machine

Had a bread maker delivered and tried to use it 5 days later but it's faulty. I cannot get any sense out of AO.com and the waiting time for a phone contact is more than 34 minutes. This is totally unacceptable. They are not responding to my online request to return the item. Will not deal with them again unless this is solved very soon to my satisfaction

The most rubbish experience I have. Staff are very rude blaming each other and at the end after loads of hours of staying on hold they send a,, email" to find out... that when the dont hang up. I made a claim for a phone replacement 3 weeks ago and since then I call them every day to find out what the problem and nobody knows anything. Do not use this company's for any of there services. Just dont. Is not warfet.

Paid for fitting, refused to fit

If you're going to get an appliance be aware they'll use every excuse in the book not to fit it and you don't get a full refund on fitting either! I paid £125 for fitting on top of delivery, removal of packaging, and removal and recycle of the old appliance. Was told I'd have to get an independent fitter as they couldn't undo the pipe end of the gas hose, without having to trim a bit of the cupboard next to it. Been left with 2 useless cookers in my kitchen 3 days before Xmas day. Can't get a fitter til new year! If I'd known 2 weeks ago when they were supposed to fit it, I'd have booked one. No Christmas dinner for my family or any dinners for a while now. Cheers for ruining our Christmas
