Yeah, my experience was just fine. I emailed to cancel, i got an auto response right away, they called me within a couple days to confirm and talk me into other options. Friendly and attentive. I haven't even tried the product yet, but if it's like the service, I'm sure it's good.
I have never had a issue with Aloha. I too had signed up for the Free Trial but unlike the other reviews read the fine print before signing up for the Free Trial. There are times I need to pause or stop a shipment for the month and can do it right on the website, under My Account. Currently, I buy their Protein Powders and The Foundation vitamins. Felt like I should write a review after reading the others where it was really the individuals fault for not actually doing their due diligence before signing up for something then bashing the company as a scam... there is one born every minute...
I was one of their first "Ambassadors" - so I invested my own money into advertising on social media - as soon as I started getting significant reward checks, they hired the owner's relative to take over the Ambassador position, completely changed the program without letting the Ambassadors know, and stopped paying rewards. By the time I found out, I had already continued to invest in social media advertising and completely lost my money. Absolutely horrible communication.
Also, their subscription program is manipulative to say the least. My account showed "no active subscription". However, an order was shipped and of course I was billed. When I inquired, they said in fact I did have a subscription and canceled it. But I still had to pay over $100 for the order they shipped. Not happy.
I see lots of bad reviews but if they signed up for the free trial it very clearly tells you that you are also signing up for a monthly subscription. I received an email confirming my account and letting me know I could cancel if I wished. I decided not to as I love this tea! Very yummy! I add a spoonful of sugar and it's perfect for me. I love the "Energy." I have decided to keep the subscription and you should give it a try. If you do not like it, call and cancel the day of or after you get your samples. Otherwise you have seven days from delivery. Delicious tea, but make sure you read the things you agree too.
Hi Sarah - Thanks so much for the feedback, and we are glad you are loving your tea! We are constantly trying to make our terms as clear as possible - we definitely don't want anyone to feel duped! Feel free to reach out to us at care@aloha.com should you have further feedback or advice! Best, Kelly
I can not even believe how gross this tea tastes. I bought two kinds for 6-something $ each! I swear to god you would have a better cup of tea if you brewed grass and bark from your backyard. I would drink it if it was mediocre but it's not. I forget one of them but one was called "protect"... I should have known from the bizarre flavors they paired together but I gave it a shot. I guess they just put ginger in everything and it's so overpowering and gross.
Hi Kara,
Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us. As a young company, we are eager to receive any feedback, positive or constructive, from our customers. I have relayed your feedback to our product team!
I am so sorry you were unhappy with the taste of the product you ordered. If you purchased this tea from a retail store, they should be able to issue you a refund there. You can also use the code RETAIL5 at our website for 5% off in the future if you like. Please let me know how you would like to proceed!
Best,
Kelly
I received an email saying that my order had shipped, which I replied to stating "I didn't place an order, please cancel this." They did not respond and I could not get through on their phone line. A few days later I received an email that my order had shipped. At this point I sent another email (my third since receiving the order notice) and finally got a response that since they had already shipped it that they could not refund "my" order since they don't accept returns. I reviewed my past legitimate orders with them and NOWHERE was I informed that I had signed up for a monthly service. Complete SCAM. Avoid this company at all costs.
Payroll never went through for any of my employees. We call numerous times befor we got a somewhat truthful answer. I talked to the Vp and he lied and said they had no idea this was going to happen. The ach company that the issue originated from contacted ahola the day befor and notified that they were not going to process ach anymore. Mark knew and lied me. Then ahola sent out 6 or more emails promising the ach company was going to process. The ach company's original email stated the wouldent. If I would have followed ahola advice my employees would have received there pay a week late. Now today they are now concerned with 2.5 week late Child support payments. Your fired
This company cares more about scamming you out if your $85 for missing the free trial period cancellation than about really selling products. I signed up for vitamins on a $14.95 trial period and they were un- takable- at least for me. In any event I get sn email that I am being charged $85 for the month and I call to cancel. I am told that vitamins are already on way, cannot be cancelled snd that since it is food/vitamins they cannot take product back-no returns. I was on phone forever with customer service which would not budge, telling me that I agreed to the charge as per their terms, etc. Really? $85 down the drain. So clearly they just want to scam you out of your initial payment and do not care to cultuvate customers for their products. STAY AWAY!
DO NOT BUY! WARNING! I used the product as I wanted to become healthy - mixed with my morning shake and went to work and became violently ill. I thought I had the flu and missed work. Then I felt better took my shake with ALOHA and AGAIN was sick. Missed work again - puking for days! I did not know what was causing it. I missed so many days of work - I almost lost my job. I just quit taking the shake and getting healthy. Then ALOHA sent out a recall notice - and they refunded my money - no apology - no compensation for work lost - nothin. If I had the money I would sue them because they were rude and wanted to give me more product. So many other choices out there - never go to ALOHA!
Yes I have enjoyed Aloha Lovers Tea... but now can't find more at the grocery store... it's quite upsetting... why would you stop making it? I don't understand that...
Hi Wanda,
I am so glad you love the Lovers Tea. Unfortunately, this is difficult to source, but also our least popular. I am so sorry! I am happy to place a one-time order over the phone with free shipping so you can stock up on tea, if you'd like. You can reach us at 866-850-4585, Monday-Friday 10AM-6PM (EST).
Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns!
Best,
Kelly
I knew I would have to act quickly after receiving my free trial if I didn't want to get stuck with a subscription to a product I didn't want. (The protein powder tastes awful and doesn't dissolve in liquid, even after letting it sit for hours AND using a blender.)
The website assures you can "easily cancel any time". Yeah, good luck with that. The ONLY way they will allow you to cancel is over the phone, and after sitting on hold for 10 minutes you'll get a recording saying no one can take your call. You're given the option of leaving a message, which I did, but the entire thing is just not worth your time.
THEY WILL EMAIL YOU A REMINDER THAT YOUR ORDER IS BEING SHIPPED, BUT YOU CANNOT CANCEL IT. THERE'S NO WAY OF CANCELLING ONLINE AND THEY DON'T HAVE 24 HOUR PHONE SERVICE. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CANCEL BEFORE IT GOES OUT THEN? AWFUL, HORRIBLE PRODUCTS AND SERVICE.
1st thing was the product seemed 1/2 the thickness as the video shows...
Flavor...poor...
No return...should have known why...because they are not worth the money even on discount.
This company is a scam it does not work and it will definitely be charged to your account they will keep charging you and there's nothing you can do about it this is the biggest scam I've ever seen in my life so big that I filed a Class Act lawsuit against them I'm just waiting for the paperwork to come in they have stole money out of my bank account and they will steal money out of yours
Hi Michael,
I am sorry you had a frustrating experience with ALOHA! We have undergone complete rebranding. I'd be happy to look into your personal case and issue you refunds where necessary or answer any questions you have. Look for a direct message from me! Thanks, Kelly
After contacting their customer service reps, I was highly disappointed in the lack of their concern for their customers. I was kind and extremely patient only to be treated beyond rudely and then told I was being disconnected and ultimately hung up on. Not a professional company.
This company has unethical business practices. They advertised a free sample of their product which I signed up to try. I had to enter my credit card to pay for a small shipping fee. Little did I know that buried in the fine print of the sign up procedure, I had signed up for a monthly subscription. I was away on vacation when the first shipment came and when I returned and called Aloha to ask to return the shipment they would not refund my money and only offered me a partial refund. Oh, and after all that, I didn't even like the protein powder. It has an aftertaste and gets really thick (like mortar) when you add iquid!
I saw you could get a free trial of the protein shake so I went for it. Come to find out I have 7 days to cancel or I get to start paying them $29.99 a month. This was a "trial" and it turns out it is too sweet for me anyway.
You can only cancel by phone. I have called several times and cannot get through.
I love the products that aloha puts into their product such as Spiruluna, spinach, morigna, and wheatgrass. The cost of $75/month is a little high as I can buy similar products at whole foods for less. I only wish they had an actual list of vitamins and the amounts that are in the product. How much vit D is in there? They advertise Vit D but I do not see the actual amount.
DO NOT DRINK from these plastic tea bags. They emit micro plastic into your kidneys and liver, and we dont know the toxic effects of drinking tea soaked in micro plastic bags. Its a known fact that it accumulates in the organs to toxic levels. I have tried calling this company (with no luck getting thru) who "claims" to be "ETHICAL" in sourcing. Did they source the plastic tea bags "ethically"? There is NO SUCH THING as "organic" plastic. They OBVIOUSLY lie in their advertising b. C we all know the damage PLASTIC is having on our wildlife, planet, and now us! Companies MUST be ACCOUNTABLE, operate ethically, and not KILL US with their cheap plastic tea bags that never bio degrade. Apply heat, and absorbtion of the plastic increases. More micro plastic in your organs I find their plastic teabags a HORRIBLE envronmental disaster on top of being extrememly unhealthy and cumulative~ not to mention unethical.
A good tea to soothe nerves help me to remember things I had forgotten. An enjoyable taste. My thank
Answer: NO! You cannot have a phonenumber that works. ITs NOT NECESSARY FOR YOU TO HAVE IT... Unless YOU are SELLING my INFO! Which is complete BS! I have a landline and a computer, If thats not good enough for you, then take a hike off a short pier. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO TEXT that cannot be sent via email? WHAT do you need my phone number for? To robot call me and drive me insane? ITS ILLEGAL!
Aloha has a rating of 2 stars from 27 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Aloha most frequently mention and free trial. Aloha ranks 319th among Vitamins & Supplements sites.
Thanks so much for the feedback, Natanael! We hope you love the product. Feel free to email us at care@aloha.com should you have any questions or concerns! Best, Kelly
